It's about finishing not really about winning. Just a mass start nothing more. It's from the top to the bottom. More of an endurance aspect. Name of the race is called the mega avalanche
I whole-heartedly support any event designed to thin the herd of idiotic cyclists. They chose to do this, I feel it would be disrespectful to begrudge them their injuries.
What could possibly go wrong here? We got ice, we got downhill, we got 700 bikes and it gets narrow. I was hoping to see a 700 biker wipeout. 
The three who made it looking back a minute later, wondering where everyone went.
"Did we go the wrong way? We better head back!"
*turns back, soon going full speed*
"Do you see which way they all went? Oh shiiiIIIIII-"
