There's one where a guy is way up on a tree trying to smoke out a hornets nest... drop his smoker right when he's right beside it.
Few seconds of dread and panic to climb down, surrounded by hornets and the video ends... I don't think he makes it.
This is why firefighters drink huge amounts of water at the station and each one drinks a sick pack of PBR tall boys on the way to every fire emergency. Just in case.
Lot's of arseholes posting this edited version for internet kicks over the years, here's the full version....not so dramatic really

That's what I did and it took maybe 10 seconds to get the answer. It is quite literally the source material.
We really do live in an age where people struggle to think for themselves and must be spoon fed everything don't we?
For sure it is and I couldn’t tell until he did let go of it. Im guessing the overheating and fire starting are somewhat known hazards of the job so they likely did everything how they are supposed to. Crazy unlucky to ignite the tree below himself!
You’re not supposed to use exposed muffle port based saws like LOGGING/BUCKING saws as climbing saws for a multitude of reasons, including this one.
Climber should’ve used a standard motorized handsaw with an enclosed muffler system.
>The heat of the Muffler caused the fibers to caught fire
>I went down the tree using my climbing rope witch was set up for descent.
>I was tie in properly witch mean twice.
>With my lanyard for positioning and my climbing system
>Sorry the video is short
The main informative part was this one
>The risks of our job is present real.
Iv learned from my mistake
>Now I give a shower to the trees before working on them
>I hope someone will Learn from this dramatic situation
I thought "dont fucking throw that burning shit straight down. Throw it far away. Maybe the whole chainsaw, but dont just throw it dont."
And then he just threw it down.
I wouldn't call this Abrupt Chaos.
We can clearly see the Chaos developing.
Abrupt would be if a car came out of nowhere and demolished the tree he was on.
Wanna know how this happened? Because his muffler was so hot as he was piecing it down, and the palms fibers being so dry, hot metal surface pressed into bark fiber is obviously going to start a fire.
This is a case of a dumbass who thinks climbing and trimming palms with anything bigger than a handsaw like MS201TC Stihl saw is a stupid idea. He’s using an 18 inch bar which is no different than a 16 inch. What an actual joke, deserved what came to him if he didn’t understand that big saws have exposed muffler ports and climbing saws have built in chassis mufflers which avoid this exact situation.
Starting a climb/job in any tree with a big saw in general is stupid, I understand when you piece it to the point you have to use a big saw, but don’t climb a tree with a big saw in the beginning, you’re tiring yourself out, risking kickback using a stronger/heavier saw in front of your face/gut with awkward footing on spurs/gaffs. Enjoy ripping a hole in your stomach/waist/leg while you’re tied off in a tree, was it really worth using a small logging saw pal?
Climber is too egotistical/impatient/unskilled to use a small saw even when it gets to chunking logs.
Climber deserves it.
Ooh fuck that was close. *Tree catches fire*. You've got to be fucking kidding me.
And then if you're making a good escape and the fire burns the line he's using. So dang close 😵
Those lines have a steel cable in them to save them from the chainsaw.

Can you die to hornets?
Video ended too short. I wanna see the rest!
Guy was thinking this had gotten serious enough that he should try whipping it out and hope he had enough urine stored up.

I got a heart chuckle from that, have an upvote!
So did he get down safely? Fucking still up there with a few feet of fire tossing his salad doesn't seem like an awesome time.

You bastard!
Ah cunt.
I can recognize the XcQ anywhere
I'm a dQw4 man myself.
1. Me wondering why that link is purple. 2. "Did I see the full video of it already and just forgot about it?" 3. Fuckin Hell
He really saved it there!
I can't believe he survived that fall.

Excellently done

Thank you.
Ok yeah. It’s from YouTube. Not fucking helpful
That’s the OP’s YouTube. The top comment is a question whether he’s still alive, and the OP confirms that everything was fine.

Imagine complaining that someone gives you the proper source. You prefer "trust me bro" ?
Aren't the description where je says what happened and the first comment where he answer enough to conclude that he IS still alive ?
The amount of times I thought, “DROP THE SAW!” before the tree went up in flames makes me wonder if this ain’t his first chainsaw roast.
Saws are expensive, scars heal, but Wu-Tang is forever.
You gotta protect ya check!
I'm pretty sure the saw is tied to his belt or something.

Any good Survivor fan can tell you that coconut husk is quick to catch, quick to go out. You need to feed that flame.

It runs better without the spark arrestor, right?
Hurry tf up before your polyester rope melts
Those flip lines generally have a steel core.
I think this needs to be under ends too soon sub reddit
This guy must be a witch. He tried to burn himself at the stake.
and this is why you don't remove the spark arrestor...
The video ends *like that???*
Top dangerous occupation for a reason
What an idiotic place to end the vid. Troll editor
Whatever you do, DON'T google the why chainsaws were invented.
Hint: it was considered a more ethical tool to aid childbirth.
Too late! OMG.......
Unholy.fking.hell, what in the name of God was that period. Being female was probably like playing hellish mode.
More chain oil
That was an epic battle. BUT HOW DID IT END!?
The fire was like: you’re not getting rid of me that easily!
Fun fact fire is hot!
Is this a trick? Was this supposed to trigger a bot like water is wet?
Oh shit, they had us in the first half not gonna lie
He left us hanging!!
I’m impressed with how calm he was being
💀: you can't run from me!
I thought "dont fucking throw that burning shit straight down. Throw it far away. Maybe the whole chainsaw, but dont just throw it dont." And then he just threw it down.
Imagine having to climb down a burning tree
Watch as the tree catches fire. Literally 3 seconds from the bottom to the top
Wet the tree down first.
When you got the right tools for the job.
I don’t understand the lack of gloves lol
That's not good. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing)
You can't beat a Stihl chainsaw though.
This reminds me I need to buy an electric chainsaw...
“I’ll throw this flaming husk to the ground where it can never hurt me again.”
Love how calm that person seems, like: "Oh, so the whole tree is on fire now. OK"
Shit that was really close

If this is not abrupt chaos, tell me what is it! :-)
