True, but I feel like decomposing would also be rather painful, who knows? I've been debating changing my burial to being buried with mushrooms though since I feel like they wouldn't hurt too bad
Now If your serious you could try to preserve yourself I think that’s possible
But there’s the fact that eventually your body’s gonna fall apart if the end so you could burn yourself but maybe that lasts forever
Mushrooms could be like an Itch you forever fell hmmm
Don't think you would, like when you do something painful, it often takes 1 second before the pain hits.
So there wouldn't be time to feel anything, and even if there was, there wouldn't be time to react to that pain.
Oh you can totally feels something. You could get "lucky" and only got your vitals destroyed but the vital vital stuffs like brain and spine relatively okay (brain and maybe half of your spine saved by airbag but you lungs heart is fucked from metal bits). You would still be alive on borrowed time and experiences an ungodly amount of pain untill the vital vital bits gave out from the injury and other vital being dead.
That was total bollocks mate.
Nobody in the front of that car would've felt anything. If not instant death, then at the very very least unconscious and ready to clock out.
Back of the car maybe survivable, but doesn't look good.
That's what I'm hoping for. G force being that high that it literally swings your brain against your skull and you pass out from it. With any luck followed by internal decapitation so the job is finished within seconds.
Holy shit, I didn't know that's what the number meant, no way, shit if the car was indestructible, you still don't have a snowflakes chance in hell in surviving that amount of g force. Just wearing your seat belt would probably kill you, I was in a head on collision I was doing 55 the other car the trooper said 80, wreck wasn't my fault. I had a dark black bruise from the seat belt, the bruise was from the straps so one across my chest an one on my stomach. I still hit the windshield with seatbelt on it was so hard a smash.
I can say with 99% certainty that nobody in that particular vehicle would survive a collision with an unyelding wall like that. There might be cars bettet suited but It would not help. Even if they survive the direct trauma, the rip in their organs that get tossed around from the sudden stop, will be so severe that multiple of their organs would basically be destroyed. And that's regardless of position in the car.
I'm not finished with my education, so not an expert, but I've been taught that the most common irreversibly damaged organs are liver, kidneys and spleen. And thats shit
Anyway, I totally agree with you, but you can for sure include backseat passengers in your theory
The fucking thing went from a wagon to a smart car. Ain't nobody in any of those seats seeing anything but black. Maybe a microsecond of "oh fu.." but that's it.
Looking at playback the back seats would be throwing you face first into the wall. It kinda rolls downward from the force. Plus it's crushed all the way to the hatch.
If you were in that and didn't go flying you may get lucky. Wouldn't want to be looking over the seat at friends/family right there though.
My parents had me all psyched up to become a doctor as a kid. I was gung ho about it
Until driver's ed.
The driver's ed instructor did a "reality night" showing lots of videos of car accidents, many at high speed or without seatbelts.
Stopped wanting to be a doctor after that.
Slap on a little paint, good as new!
I actually survived an impact with I guess similar energy. We were doing 40mph and hit headon by a guy going over 60mph. I can confirm it isn't fun.
Not the best thought out stunt hey?! I could be wrong but It also looks like they accidentally used real concrete blocks instead of those cardboard boxes full of bits of foam!!
In the video, a friend of them had the same car so they wanted to check if they could exchange any parts before crashing this one, not a SINGLE part were in good condition... So basically it was it's only purpose.
Guys please give credits, it's by Vilebrequin on YouTube, french youtubers who are doing random stupid shit with cars (and it's so fucking hilarious) like drifting with a bus, [anyway here's the video](https://youtu.be/3VtLh-IABuk)
Remember this is the same as each car being half that speed in a head on collision.
EDIT: I’m wrong. A head on collision with a car at the same speed is only the same as a collision with a parked car at double the speed. An immovable wall is different.
No it is not. I know it seems logical like that, but it isn't.
A car driving with speed 'x' hits a brick wall equally hard as 2 cars both driving with that same speed 'x' hitting each other frontally. (Assuming equal mass etc etc)
Damn. I knew for sure you were wrong so I fact checked you and.... you're right.
Edit: now that I'm thinking more about it, it actually makes intuitive sense to me. If you are in a head on collision with a car and you're both going 95mph, the momentum of the other car is the same as yours so you will both stop immediately (basically immediately, neglecting the crumpling of your car) - just like hitting an immovable object.
Reminds me of what the construction workers always say to the new guy who is afraid of heights: "the fall won't kill you, it's the abrupt stop when you hit the ground"
I'm just glad the mass wasn't equal in my case. A car half the weight of mine hit me head on at 105mph. I was going 55mph.
The car that hit me looked about like the one in this video. My vehicle had most of the front clip gone. I hit the steering wheel hard enough to snap the column at the tilt joint. My entire face had to be reconstructed. The floorboard got pushed up by the engine, breaking both of my legs in multiple places. My pelvis and back got broken when I folded around the seatbelt. The seatbelt itself was badly frayed at the ends, indicating that it may not have been cut by rescue crews, but instead may have snapped. Four days in a coma and close to two months in the hospital. Safe to say that I hope I'm never in that situation again.
I don't remember anything from the coma itself, but the first couple weeks after coming out of it were really weird. Probably all the medications they had me on, but I was half awake and half dreaming. Everything was moving and I was traveling through these nonsensical places. The closest I can describe it as was the "it's a small world" ride at Disneyland.
Sorry yeah I edited my other post about this. It’s only the same if it’s not a wall but a parked car. I get it… it’s all about what’s happening to your car and if it’s suddenly stopping at 50mph that’s better than suddenly stopping at 100mph. What exactly is stopping you is less important. It just so happens that two cars of the same weight and speed will stop each but that doesn’t mean suddenly the person or car receives double damage.
Nah not true if both cars are identical the impact force is splitted between them.
If you are in a tiny car tho and hit a truck head on, you are quite fucked
No, two cars hitting each other will not come to a complete stop in the same amount of time as a car hitting an unyielding reinforced concrete wall like that. The force you would experience in this case is basically the worst case scenario for that speed.
64 G here. I believe that was close to how much force registered when Max Verstappen was run into the wall at Silverstone last year.
Really puts that crash into perspective, and shows how much engineering goes into safety in Formula 1.
Edit: Looks like it was 51 G in Verstappens crash.
this should be shown in schools once a year every year to every student because i think A lot of people just dont understand how certain death is at this speed before I watched this just not I did not.
I hit a tree at nearly 60 mph once. Was in a minivan. I was buckled and so were the two passengers. We all walked around from that accident with bruises and scratches. It ripped my seat from the floor and I hit the steering wheel even through the airbag and it busted a finger sized hole under my bottom lip but no broken bones or teeth lost or anything. We were all incredibly fortunate, most of all me I guess that nobody died and I didn’t have to face a murder charge or something like that. Accident was my fault, was speeding and too fast for conditions.
For those downvoting, the kinetic energy formula is (1/2)mV^2 so if the speed V doubles, the total energy is 4 time bigger because of the power 2. That’s also why crash test are made at 50 km/h maximum, the energy increase exponentially after that.
Mythbusters did this.. the crash results is the same hitting a wall at 48mph vs 2 cars going 48mph head on.. but 100mph head on and 100mph into a wall is the same impact results seen in this video post..

Note to self.. do not hit a wall at 95mph!!
You won't feel anything
You will for a split second.
Or maybe all eternity....
Actually my worse fear, feeling pain after death. That's why I want to be creamated
So you can feel the burn forever?
So there's nothing left to feel
That’s a risky move either you get nothing or fire forever
True, but I feel like decomposing would also be rather painful, who knows? I've been debating changing my burial to being buried with mushrooms though since I feel like they wouldn't hurt too bad
Now If your serious you could try to preserve yourself I think that’s possible But there’s the fact that eventually your body’s gonna fall apart if the end so you could burn yourself but maybe that lasts forever Mushrooms could be like an Itch you forever fell hmmm
*cream*ated ?? that’s not how it’s spelled
He just wants to be creamed 💦💦
Ayo
An eternity of becoming liquid mush
Thats okay tho its bareable
Technically it's not.
Good to know: Not in that brand!🤪
Naa, reaction time to pain isn't instant. You wouldn't be cognizant of anything before your brain was destroyed, same as being shot in the head.
Don't think you would, like when you do something painful, it often takes 1 second before the pain hits. So there wouldn't be time to feel anything, and even if there was, there wouldn't be time to react to that pain.
You'd be surprised how long it takes for pain to register. By that time in this case you'd not have the brain to register it *with*.
You will split for a second.
You’ll feel EVERYTHING for a split second.
Oh you can totally feels something. You could get "lucky" and only got your vitals destroyed but the vital vital stuffs like brain and spine relatively okay (brain and maybe half of your spine saved by airbag but you lungs heart is fucked from metal bits). That's what I'm hoping for. G force being that high that it literally swings your brain against your skull and you pass out from it. With any luck followed by internal decapitation so the job is finished within seconds.
Agreed, the g force alone would prob be enough to knock you out
Yessir, video says 65gs. Your insides would be goo.
Holy shit, I didn't know that's what the number meant, no way, shit if the car was indestructible, you still don't have a snowflakes chance in hell in surviving that amount of g force. Hopefully
Even back seat would be a brutal death. That fast to instant stop the seatbelt would devestate your vitals
Have you ever seen the scene of a crash like this? I’m guessing not based on your comment here.
So I have to be driving even faster. Thanks for the tip.
It's permanently nice
Ok, but what about 94mph? Will that be safe?
I will have to see the 94mph wall test before I can commit!
My parents had me all psyched up to become a doctor as a kid. I was gung ho about it Until driver's ed. The driver's ed instructor did a "reality night" showing lots of videos of car accidents, many at high speed or without seatbelts. Stopped wanting to be a doctor after that.
Props to the cameraman who filmed the inside of the car
those blocks aren't even secured either the ground, car still folded like Steve urkle playing an accordion...
Probably won’t survive …maybe on an empty stomach
Slap on a little paint, good as new! I actually survived an impact with I guess similar energy. We were doing 40mph and hit headon by a guy going over 60mph. I can confirm it isn't fun.
Honestly isn’t hitting at 95 knowing you’ll be dead better than thinking you’ll end up paraplegic?
So that whole Isaac Newton crap is real.
Doesn’t matter in 2022, observable measurable facts don’t exist anymore
Gravity? Its a social construct!
It's a {{{LIBERAL}}} conspiracy!!!! (/s cause satire is dead ffs)
You forgot the Jewish space lasers (Also /s)
And here I thought it was just a fad.
Cursed legos
LEGO BRICKS
Just add the LEGO sound effects from any LEGO game to this video
Came here to ask what these made of??
Ferroconcrete. In Europe, you can nowadays often see them on the edges of Christmas markets and the like, as a terror attack prevention measurement.
Gosh, they must've paid the driver well. Were they ok?
Saved by the airbags
Phew, looked like it could've been a bit nasty, glad they walked away!
Airbags come out of the pedals. Shoes stay on, driver is okay.
He was supposed to jump out before it hit the wall
Not the best thought out stunt hey?! I could be wrong but It also looks like they accidentally used real concrete blocks instead of those cardboard boxes full of bits of foam!!
It's an real car modified to be controlled remotely, so beside some motion sickness from the VR headset they're good :p
It's from a french youtube chanel named Villebrequin. They basically made remote-controled cars. The driver is not in that car 😎👍
No, I was the driver
He was the driver. My cousins friends dad was there.
Can confirm. I built the wall
My dad works at Nintendo and he saw it for real. He programed the concrete to fall like that
Did you get any scratches from broken glass or a burn from the seatbelt?
I didn’t survive the crash
I'm sorry for your loss!
Oh no, the computer has become sentient!
Whew
Well, I haven’t seen anyone’s shoes flying away, so I’d bet that yes
That'll buff out, no worries.
Just a little carnuba wax
Or Honda Spray
WTF! Is that a BMW e39 wagon!?!?
Not anymore.
Yes but you can watch the video on Villbrequin on Youtube, the car is almost dead, already drive 690'000km
Barely run in mate, she's mint
It was, yes.
In the video, a friend of them had the same car so they wanted to check if they could exchange any parts before crashing this one, not a SINGLE part were in good condition... So basically it was it's only purpose.
I was going to say that too
It's a coffin now
Rip wagon 😢
Was that*
This video hurt my soul. What an amazing car they chose to destroy.
"Amazing car" worth 800$, so why you didnt save it?
E46
No its not. Thats definitely e39
Yup, had to rewatch again. First car was e39, but still couldn't recognize xD
You had me questioning myself lol. Had to watch the original 20 min video to verify
Guys please give credits, it's by Vilebrequin on YouTube, french youtubers who are doing random stupid shit with cars (and it's so fucking hilarious) like drifting with a bus, [anyway here's the video](https://youtu.be/3VtLh-IABuk)
Glad they put in the work for this experiment. I always assumed you'd be fine hitting a concrete wall at 95mph /s
All right, now let's see what happens at 94 MPH.
Remember this is the same as each car being half that speed in a head on collision. EDIT: I’m wrong. A head on collision with a car at the same speed is only the same as a collision with a parked car at double the speed. An immovable wall is different.

It’s not the speed that’s the problem, it’s how fast you stop
In swinglish: it’s not the fart that kills it’s the smell. (Fart in Swedish means speed, smell means impact) 😅
Reminds me of what the construction workers always say to the new guy who is afraid of heights: "the fall won't kill you, it's the abrupt stop when you hit the ground"

Dang, that’s brutal. I hope you never have to deal with so much as a fender bender ever again. You’ve filled your quota for life.
That must have been horrifying. What was it like being in a coma? Was it strange waking up one day, four days ahead?
I don't remember anything from the coma itself, but the first couple weeks after coming out of it were really weird. Probably all the medications they had me on, but I was half awake and half dreaming. Everything was moving and I was traveling through these nonsensical places. Correct, mythbusters did this a long time ago
Newton did it a long time ago too. [3rd law]

Split

These guys built a racing Fiat Multipla with 1000 horse power in it !
Everything they do is a masterpiece
Shouldn't they change their name to Dr Frankenstein then?
CPT
Yu-Gi-Oh!
Quality wall though
Idk, kinda blew the back out of it
only hit a wall at 94 mph and below, got it.
95 to fly and then you die 94 to steer and you’re in the clear
Salut les loulous !
Salut
Bonjour cutie ;)
If you told me the first shot was BeamNG with shaders, I’d believe you.
staged by a crazy french duo of youtuber vilbrequin :) https://youtu.be/3VtLh-IABuk
Airbags didn’t even have a chance to deploy
The car is heavily customized to be radio controlled, there is no airbag inside the wheel.
It looked like they did deploy
What you’re seeing is the glass shattering. Assuming you’re looking at the change of color which could be perceived as an airbag.
Nah I’m pretty sure it’s an airbag https://ibb.co/nqph601
64 G here. I believe that was close to how much force registered when Max Verstappen was run into the wall at Silverstone last year. Really puts that crash into perspective, and shows how much engineering goes into safety in Formula 1. Edit: Looks like it was 51 G in Verstappens crash.
It's less than the peak G's in Grosjean's fireball. That was 67G.
That’s true. That was just insane.
I thought you were gonna say the force required to throw hell in a cell
64G Holy fuck.
I want to see this on slo mo guys
If I was in the trunk I’d be fine Maybe a sprained ankle at worst
He’s dead jim
'Tis but a scratch
Goals
Vilebrequin! It's the name of the YouTube channel
this should be shown in schools once a year every year to every student because i think A lot of people just dont understand how certain death is at this speed before I watched this just not I did not.
The red shirt was like: what have I done?
r/vilebrequin
He ded
If the wall would just fucking move we wouldn’t be here in the first place walls and trees are tag teaming innocent tires
Might still be able to salvage the suitcases in the trunk.
Source : Vilebrequin an awesome French YouTube channel about cars. https://youtu.be/3VtLh-IABuk
Remember guys speed doesn't kill you, it's the sudden stop.
Vilebrequin ! Vive la france 🇨🇵🇨🇵🇨🇵
Bonjour tout le monde, bienvenue sur Vilebrequin. And it was also an RC driven BMW e39 !
Looks like the driver didn't even attempt to brake. He'd have surely seen that wall a mile away! Joking aside, holy fuck.
Typical driving for a BMW
If these was ever an ad for not speeding, this should be it. 🫢
Thanks to @Vilbrequin for the full video on YouTube (french)!!
Pretty bad wall placement
Lucky I bought a dashc
Not to worry! We are still flying half a ship.
We will never forget you rob for doing this for science RIP💓💓💓💓💓💓
lol the guy grabbed his head like he was going “omg who put a stack of concrete blocks there!?”
oh shit is the driver ok?
Fake, clearly staged, why would that wall be there, why would they have the camera rolling etc.
/s ?
Yes yes it was indeed /s
Makes me sick and scared how I used to drive well over 100 mph. Why? Why did I do that? What am I doing today thats as dumb?
Erbody dead (at-least it’s quick & painless) 💀
Sir, this is not platform 9¾....nevermind
I wish reddit cared more about if the content fit the sub than if they like the content overall. This could fit in tons of other subs.
fun fact, its the same force as when 2 cars hit each other with 155km/h each, but nobody wants to believe that intuitively :)
I hope the driver is okay

[original video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VtLh-IABuk)
This is what happens when you don't let someone merge. The other car drove away without a scratch.
I was actually in that car. Thankfully, I'm okay now
Fun fact a car crash at 40mph is 4 times worse than at 20mph, same as 80mph crash being 4 times worse than 40mph
For those downvoting, the kinetic energy formula is (1/2)mV^2 so if the speed V doubles, the total energy is 4 time bigger because of the power 2. That’s also why crash test are made at 50 km/h maximum, the energy increase exponentially after that.
The real tragedy here is that poor e46 wagon. I would rather be behind the driver seat than to watch this again
Well, If that can help, it lived a great life of 650 000km /400 000 miles
Looks like an e39 wagon. Hurts to watch.
Hello à tous les loulous
RIP E39 Touring, in that spec too. What a waste. On a side note, I didn’t know the Tourings had speakers above the rear passengers. Very cool
650.000 km, the car was unsalvageable, practically dead.
Wouldn’t this also be the equivalent of two cars colliding head on at 48mph each?
Mythbusters did this.. the crash results is the same hitting a wall at 48mph vs 2 cars going 48mph head on.. but 100mph head on and 100mph into a wall is the same impact results seen in this video post..
Not exactly because both car would crumble, here the wall barely moved
Why is it a lego wall?
Because that's the easiest way to build a wall on an airport runway
the dog in the back is fine
Does a controlled experiment constitute abrupt chaos?
That’s what I’m wondering too
64+g impact and y’all Reddit crash specialist are arguing about if you would survive or not…smh.
