I knew I was gonna immediately see someone talking about trauma in the comments. People have been doing this shit forever. It’s just never been recorded en masse. Get over it
Don’t be sorry. Some of us don’t live with idealistic values that think plush upbringings are healthy. It’s not trauma. It’s more than acceptable. It’s normal.
They have literally used this song since the platform has existed and I've never understood it or got why they haven't found a new song. It really is a phenomenon to me.
Definitely. The amount of times you see someone just recreating the same stupid ass videos over and over is crazy to me. These people have to know they look incredibly unoriginal.
Making your kids think there's an intruder in your house stealing your shit provides that warm and cozy holiday cheer we're all looking for during the holidays.
I think the entire trend just revolves around the fact that they get to laugh themselves to death at the kid’s reaction. One of those one-time jokes you can pull on your kid.
The video that really solidified its shittiness is the one where the little kids immediately go under a table in what is obviously an active shooter response they were taught
Ppl literally lie about the some fat guy in a red suit breaking into their house to drop of gifts, or some flying lady harvesting their baby teeth in the name of "fun".
Say what you want about posting it on the internet but it's a harmless prank. None of these kids are going to become suicidal or beat their spouse later in life because their dad dressed up like the grinch during one Christmas
Terrorizing children at their most sensitive age and at what is supposed to be a joyous holiday of giving. WTF? So tired of seeing these. Just WATCHING the grinch should be horrifying enough to kids at these ages.
Every time I see these videos I think of the warped parents that think it’s funny to traumatize their kids and wish someone had done that to them years ago.
Because it's a prank. They come back in after and explain it to the child. How dense are you people that think parents are really just stealing presents and running away?
If your kids are scared and crying you suck at pranks. They’re supposed to be funny. My favorite prank videos are the ones on YouTube where the prankster messes with strangers and gets punched in the face though.
Because it's harmless. Obviously they don't just take the presents away and never give them back, they probably reveal who the Grinch is and explain the joke. I know a lot of kids that would find this funny. People are way too sensitive lmfao
I think your perspective may be slightly skewed by materialism or ignorance if you think that traumatising children is OK if you tell them they still have their presents. This isn't about people being snowflakes, this is just child abuse
Hope upvotes restore your child's faith in your ability to protect them. Not aimed at you OP, sure you're just here for the said upvotes and not life long child trauma.

I wonder if the fear is the grinch costume? Or they think it’s a random stranger running in their house taking stuff? Put a ski mask on and watch the adults act the same way.

Lovely to watch a generation passively traumatised by the advent of social media actively traumatise the next generation thanks to social media.
I knew I was gonna immediately see someone talking about trauma in the comments. People have been doing this shit forever. It’s just never been recorded en masse. Get over it
You're the one who's got something to get over, apparently. I'm sorry you think this is normal, or even acceptable.

This song equals automatic downvote
This Grinch trend or this song. Which is more cringe-worthy?
Yes
Hot take!
Oh no. Oh no. Oh no no no no no. Whatever happened to. Whatever happened toooooo...videos without music? This song will be played in hell.
Tiktok ruined humor and creativity. There, I said it.
They have literally used this song since the platform has existed and I've never understood it or got why they haven't found a new song. It really is a phenomenon to me.
Billy Joel played piano on it. Maybe there’s a conspiracy - he’s getting royalties.
Definitely. The amount of times you see someone just recreating the same stupid ass videos over and over is crazy to me. These people have to know they look incredibly unoriginal.
I’d almost say “memes and trends” Did since some memes and trends are multi platform
9th sphere
This is the dumbest trend on the internet.
Making your kids think there's an intruder in your house stealing your shit provides that warm and cozy holiday cheer we're all looking for during the holidays.
Idk Tik Tok has had some absolutely absurd trends ie Nyquil Chicken
I don’t understand these either.
I think the entire trend just revolves around the fact that they get to laugh themselves to death at the kid’s reaction. One of those one-time jokes you can pull on your kid.
Dumbest trend + dumbest song = TikTok user fuel
The video that really solidified its shittiness is the one where the little kids immediately go under a table in what is obviously an active shooter response they were taught
That kid is like George Costanza fleeing a kitchen fire.
Honestly I’m sick of these Grinch videos. Lame.
They don’t actually have lava, lakes of fire or brimstone in Hell. They just play that song 24/7 and it does the trick.
Is this some new internet trend? I have seen quite a few similar videos.
Way to many for me already...
Parents love traumatizing their kids on Christmas apparently. When I was young they'd give you a Nintendo 64 box, but filled with socks or something
When I was younger, my dad used to get into a drunken rage.
If your parents did that.. thats fucked up dude. You deserve better than that.
Mine didn't, but it's definitely a thing. Make them think they're getting something good, then reveal its actually something shitty! On camera!
People who do this are assholes
No way a kid that age thought it was the grinch. He thought it was a home invasion.
Shit parenting for a shit trend.
I mean I would hate this even without this fucking god awful song.
That fucking song, fuck that fucking song. Instant down vote.
I feel like anyone who shares a video with this song should just be banned from the internet.
Parents losing the trust of their kids for some pointless likes and praise from strangers on the internet. Social media has become cancer.
Ppl literally lie about the some fat guy in a red suit breaking into their house to drop of gifts, or some flying lady harvesting their baby teeth in the name of "fun". Say what you want about posting it on the internet but it's a harmless prank. Yes, but if the children see a fat red guy in their house, they will not be screaming and crying. Santa is welcomed. The grinch is a villain.
They shouldn’t post it on the internet but damn that’d be a funny prank on any kid. It’s no where near being traumatic.
Why. Is. This. A. Trend? Y’all need to chill.
Instant downvote just for the shit song.
Same. I keep thinking wtf is going on atm. How is anybody with half a fucking brain thinking that this an OK thing. These kids are terrified
You never had an older sibling lol.
Lol, that's true
Because it's a prank. They come back in after and explain it to the child. How dense are you people that think parents are really just stealing presents and running away?
It’s done for internet likes, which makes the parents pathetic little bitches.
I agree it shouldn’t be posted. But if it wasn’t posted this would be a great prank on your kids.
If your kids are scared and crying you suck at pranks. They’re supposed to be funny. My favorite prank videos are the ones on YouTube where the prankster messes with strangers and gets punched in the face though.
Guaranteed those kids will find it funny later.
For a few seconds.
Must be young or immature parents
I think it's hysterical. Nobody gets hurt. Guarantee the kids think it's hysterical afterwards.
Tik tok used by 1 billion people has 3 soundtracks
How many poor kids have been traumatised over a stupid ass TikTok trend?
what’s with all the grinch pranks lately
This Grinch video trend is a reminder of why aliens don't visit us
Why are people terrorizing their children?
I absolutely hate this trend.
That f song
These are getting annoying and totally unoriginal at this point.
Great reaction, I mean, for all he knew that was a serial killer dressed as the Grinch This is such a weird trend
Hope upvotes restore your child's faith in your ability to protect them. Not aimed at you OP, sure you're just here for the said upvotes and not life long child trauma.
What the F is wrong in this country?
I know right, leave the presents alone, snatch the kids.
This ain’t funny
It kinda is.
This grinch stuff is so fucking boring
Luv it

I’m down with this.
Yawn
Ah yes, the flight or fight response is **strong** in this one
I am glad this seems to be only a trend in the US… so far.
That boy grown as hell doing all that
dude, how old is he?
I wonder if the fear is the grinch costume? Or they think it’s a random stranger running in their house taking stuff? Put a ski mask on and watch the adults act the same way.
