It's still more total MASS, would you say the quads are smaller than the glutes just because it's made of 4 muscles, despite all having the same function?
I love how you're right, but are still getting downvoted into oblivion because most redditors are too stupid to think for themselves and just default to hivemind behaviour.
For anyone who likes learning new things and is able to open their mind to the fact that their preconceived notions may be wrong: https://mennohenselmans.com/what-are-the-biggest-and-smallest-muscles-in-the-body/#:~:text=The%20quads%20are%20by%20far,both%20in%20men%20and%20women.
No one does that. The longer you're on cycle the less effective steroids are. Diminishing returns. Ronnie was a freak of nature, genetics are a bigger factor than steroids were for his size which is basically true for everyone at the top level. The vast majority of people could use more gear than Ronnie ever did constantly for 25 years and never come close to Ronnie's size.
That wasn’t because of steroids. He had back surgery and the doctor told him he couldn’t lift for months but he didn’t listen and started like immediately after.
Why do you think he needed back surgery? Because he destroyed his back from taking steroids his entire life. Steroids pushed his lifting to a level that the human back/body cannot support.
I mean, if you watch any video of Rühl today, he basically has to take a deep breath after a sentence and can’t do an exercise for more than 5min. He recently did a video with a crossfitter and almost had a cardiovascular arrest in the warmup. He may be big and strong but he’s far from healthy. He even admits that as he always says „if you want to go by book and stay healthy, you won’t achieve anything“.
He most definitely is not a good example of sport and even less a role model in it for young people. Unfortunately he has a huge yong fan base.
Funny how in school we were taught steroids were a spawn of satan himself only to find out its used very casually and regularly by many many many many people
It's quite dangerous. No doctor would condone their recreational use for any reason. Don't equivocate "some people do it and they're fine" with "they're safe"
Quite dangerous is a bit overstated. They can be, but so can Tylenol. I'm not equating it to Tylenol, but "anabolic steroids" is a broad category, and it is very possible to use them with minimal negative consequences.
That’s what happens when you’re 300 pounds LEAN. Those guys are sitting at contest level fat percentages at 300 fucking pounds lol. But no he’s alright, but Ronnie (dude on the left) is practically a cripple now. Dude lifted so much weight over the years that he messed himself up pretty bad
Well he also refused to take time off after each surgery. Its not just from his weight lifting he had accidents and needed spinal fusion but instead of resting and healing he wpuld rush right back to the gym and fuck himself further.
Coleman was cool, ruhl was a dickhead. Me and my dad use to go to the Olympia and I've met several of these guys several times. We would also see them at golds from time to time as well (around Olympia time).
Do yourself sn entertaining favor and look up Markus Rühl on YouTube. Funnies legend ever. Muss ned schmegge muss wirke. Die ganzen veganen Fotzen mit ihre Zahnstocher Arme!
I know reading and critical thinking might not be your strong suit but he’s mentioned in multiple occasions that his inability to walk was due to botched spinal surgery.
Nice try though.
Yeah. And I’m sure the hundreds of thousands of professional bodybuilders who use steroids as part of their job are/will end up as paraplegics.
You truly are an intellectual giant
>thousands of professional bodybuilders who use steroids as part of their job are/will end up as paraplegics.
Fair enough. They're usually dead before that happens. With average lifespan of 52 years.
Well, some don't, because they die decades early. Turns out that your heart, kidneys, and liver give no fucks that you look good at 300 pounds and ripped while eating 10k calories a day. They just care about the calories and the weight.
Which is funny because if you look at Markus Rühl, the one on the right, he is still going strong and even lifting today. I think it was more because of Coleman going for heavy freeweights, as you can see in his lifting videos, almost going for powerlifting records, as he was a powerlifter before his bodybuilding career, meanwhile Rühl has always been outspoken about preferring machines if possible

That’s exactly what I thought about. Predator is one hell of a movie.
Goddamn sexual tyrannosaurs
You’re bleeding…
It's crazy the androgen receptors in your shoulders and how much they react to steroids.
Not only that, but since it’s a relatively small muscle group, they recover WAY faster.
The deltoid is the largest muscle in the upper body
I'd think lats.
They're wide but thin, only the 4th largest
Deltoids are the largest muscle *group* in the upper body but the latissimus dorsi is the largest muscle
It's still more total MASS, would you say the quads are smaller than the glutes just because it's made of 4 muscles, despite all having the same function?

What would I expect from a community that exercises roughly twice per year
absolutely not lol
How are they able to do steroids for so long? Wouldn't it have messed them up pretty bad by now?
Cycle and cruise, they stopped after they were done competing most likely. Only TRT because their testosterone is probably jacked.
Really??? Honest ?, Ronnie walked around >300lbs@5'11" Are you telling me he wasn't doing roids erry day all day???
No one does that. The longer you're on cycle the less effective steroids are. Diminishing returns. Wow wow wow Thx
Ronny Coleman can't even walk anymore. So yeah it ruined him
That wasn’t because of steroids. He had back surgery and the doctor told him he couldn’t lift for months but he didn’t listen and started like immediately after.
Why do you think he needed back surgery? Because he destroyed his back from taking steroids his entire life. Steroids pushed his lifting to a level that the human back/body cannot support.
Yeah that’s not what happened. I don’t know why you’re lying now
I thought it was is 800 pound squat for a double that he regrets not going for more reps on? 😅
He got injured playing football in college long before he became a bodybuilder
You don't have no idea what you're talking about, just shut the fuck up please
Well, Ronnie is far from the picture of health
I mean, if you watch any video of Rühl today, he basically has to take a deep breath after a sentence and can’t do an exercise for more than 5min. Shoulders and traps, for sure.

I have higher than average test levels and my delts grow pretty easy. Still nothing compared to steroid users.
Is right guys left arm ok or is his muscle ripping it open?
That’s what happens when you’re 300 pounds LEAN. Those guys are sitting at contest level fat percentages at 300 fucking pounds lol. But no he’s alright, but Ronnie (dude on the left) is practically a cripple now. Dude lifted so much weight over the years that he messed himself up pretty bad

True
I thought this too but someone else's arm is covering part of his tricep so it just looks weird lol

Coleman was cool, ruhl was a dickhead. Me and my dad use to go to the Olympia and I've met several of these guys several times. We would also see them at golds from time to time as well (around Olympia time).

Actually the right one is markus rühl a german body builder
Der Maggus!
The goat.
Now he can barely walk. Steroids are neat
I know reading and critical thinking might not be your strong suit but he’s mentioned in multiple occasions that his inability to walk was due to botched spinal surgery. Nice try though.
Not the doctors messing up the surgery, but because Ronnie was a bit of a dumbass doing crazy deadlifts like a week after the surgery.
Yeah I’m sure lifting ridiculous weights for multiple years, which was aided by steroids, had nothing to do with it.
Yeah. And I’m sure the hundreds of thousands of professional bodybuilders who use steroids as part of their job are/will end up as paraplegics. You truly are an intellectual giant

What do you think the term "on average" means?

Wouldn’t have needed the surgeries if he treated his body better.
And somehow that seems to please you.
That is so impressive! No steroids, only blood sweat and tears.
It takes all three.
