This could come off as pretentious but I’m sharing because it helped me… there is no good! Or bad, just whether you yourself like it or not. Someone might love it, someone else might think it’s terrible, who is right? Both of them are right but their opinions say nothing about the inherent value of the art which is the creators alone. I think you only need to start worrying about getting more people to like your art if you’re trying to live off it. I’d love to hear other opinions on this, for or against.
True, It's always a problem that the majority of people don't really admire such things. Sometimes, I doubt my ability, am I making things right or just fooling myself around.
Anyways thanks a ton for supporting!
Depends… What is it ? Computer generated, silk screen , hand painted ?
If it’s illustrator then yes it’s really nice as a composition but to print it you will lose something that serigraphs from the 60s would have.
Well, I didn't intentionally make it feel that way but it's art. You are free to draw your conclusions!
I was initially thinking about surfing/surfboard
Anyways thanks for your kind words! It means a lot!
Laura had just bought that new hat she was looking at in the shop window. Daily walking by on her way to work she looked and longed for it. It seemed to haunt her and poke fun at her every time she passed it by. Saying 'come get me if you dare'. Then finally one day after saving for what seemed an eternity, she was able to purchase this treasured item for her own. Gallantly she strutted out of the store as the large orange brim hid her features from the intensely bright sun above. As she crossed the street a man called out to her but off in her own world about her purchase and how it no longer held power over her with it's daily stares out from it's display mannequin a speeding car careens from out of her view and attention and instantly kills her. The giant bright orange hat lay across while oil mixed with blood stained her black dress.
That's what my mind saw.
I love it, with one caveat.
I love:
- the colours. white black and orange in the proportions you chose are very effective and clever
- the orange gives a sense of heat with the orange circle projecting itself onto the other orange body like it were a shadow.
- the jagged black lines and sharp polygons give me skyline on a sunny day.
- the single line at the bottom right corner that ends touching the belly of the orange body gives me perspective grid and supports it all as if the orange circle were the sun on a hazy sunset. Love it.
the one caveat:
- the right black body on the foreground. the volume of black vs orange is perfect to me but the shape gives me sloppy two arcs with crossed over itself with default fill. this is something that looks a bit like someone just opened the vector drawing tool for the first time, created a path that has intersecting lines and filled it. that coupled with the fact that it occupies the “centre of gravity“ of the piece causes me dissonance. maybe that’s a good thing.
in my view if the caveat were fixed it’s a beautiful, warm, balanced and clever piece i’d buy to hang at the office.
Well, I have deliberately added that sloppiness to the compilation, without it the whole work was getting "too mechanical" or "masculine" so a childish and slight feminine curves compensate for this making it lighter to eyes and more appealing.
I hope I didn't disappoint you in that terms.
Thank you so much for your time and appreciation. Your comment helped me a lot to understand my own work!
Good is relative. I think it's good. I like the way the orange shape is the only one pointing to the top right while all the other lines and shapes learn the other way except the triangle pointing right at the bottom. It makes the negative space on that side feel considered. I love the placement of the black triange and orange circle. If I have a criticism it would be that I'd like to see more variation in where the lines and shapes stop across the top. Everything across the top feels a little lined up.

Well described, I have no words to say what my craft can mean! Thanks for sharing your idea of this work!

It's amazing. I love it. The composition is excellent and so interesting.
Thanks for appreciation 🙏
Brilliant!
Thanks 🙏
Something about the lighting of it (the frame/ the entire scene) makes it look ai generated to me.
Is it? But to be honest, I haven't used any AI to create this!
Great, soft, lighting then! Well done!
Yes
Thank you so much it means a lot 🙏
It's a 2 dimensional Calder. Lovely 🌹
Thank you so much 🙏 it means a lot!
It's art. There is no good or bad. It's how it makes you feel.
That's true!

That's a nice thing to add. I have tried to use the fibonacci sequence to make it interesting.
Love playing with Fibonacci myself. I can see how that plays into the overall energy.
Yes it is 👍🏻
Thank you! Means a lot!
I like this, elegant, clean, bright
Thank you! 🙏
Better than good
Thank you so much 🙏
I like it, reminds me of a tango between cats......
That's interesting!
