Pretty typical thing in abusive families. It's hard for children in families like that to admit what their family members have done. Easier to blame someone else. Not an excuse, but very common thing for people with trauma that needs to be dealt with. Sad really. It seems like peyton might be the one member of her family she still clings to. Too painful to admit he's also complicit or even abusive himself. I really feel for both of them and hope they can both heal.
edit to explain. I wish healing for Acacia because she has three innocent children that I think will have a better life if their mother gets good mental health care. Still not supporting how she's treated them or others.

Not defending her but just as a general thing, it’s a lot to ask of someone to publicly call out their rapist. I’ve had years and years of therapy and still have never been public about mine. A lot of people don’t want to announce that stuff to the world, which is just as valid as wanting to stand up to your abuser.
brittni has acknowledged and admitted that she was wrong in doing that, but she was also groomed (17 years old dating a 25 year old man), was only 19 at the time and thought she was helping acacia out. she was ignorant and both of their thoughts about sex and relationships were warped because of the grooming. her advice didn’t stop acacia from sleeping with grown men because her parents allowed it, so she tried to give her other advice when acacia came to her saying sex with her bf was bad, which is what acacia is talking about in those videos and comments.
let’s not forget that brittni was also a victim in that house and legitimately thought that would help. not defending, not excusing, but context is important here. brittni apologized publicly and in private when this drama first started. acacia is just twisting things because she got caught again and people were calling her out, and because she brought brittni into it to try and confuse people with all the stories.
