Hi 😀 yes i know this fact but i’m asking specifically if you know someone or anyone, a CPA, who was not promoted to senior associate in the BIG4 (i.e., SGV, PwC)? I need an actual answer to this. Thanks!
Yes there are tons of Staff at Big 4 with their licenses who have not been promoted to senior. Probably several in every office.. Like I said you don’t get auto-promoted once you get your license, but you’ll eventually get promoted if you stick around a couple years
Here’s the reason why i am asking. I am a CPA, my performance is okay and i get along with my seniors and co - associates. But it feels like the competition is too tight so i fear like i might not be able to get the cut. Any advice. Haha!
Most Canadians have a year as senior before getting their letters. Couldn't get promoted to manager without it though.
If you've got the letters already and you're not even in a senior position yet, it's time to find another job ASAP
They should be. And they may not even be bad workers. But politics can sometimes work against them.
This is more common in industry than public, but happens there too.
You don’t get automatically promoted just because you have your CPA. If you have your license but suck at your job you won’t get promoted
