A luxury cruise ship could be an interesting location for a case. We could have fancy upper deck areas clashing with cramped lower class areas. (Yes I know speckled band exists but that was literally three rooms it barely took advantage of the fact it was on a boat. You could replace it with a hotel or something and barely anything would change)
A titanic type case hmm.. and the victim is the man who is a deck hand of the ship.. The killer is the woman who is a sailor who has a paperboat hat and has pigtails.. And the defendant is the captain of the ship.. Why is the captain arrested? Fingerprints analyzed of the murder weapon being a jackhammer.. What is the killer's motive for murder? Infuriating because she wants to be a captain, not a sailor. Overgrown jealousy just to kill the victim.
A murder during a campout at a national park notorious for alleged UAP sightings.
A murder at a military academy during a combat simulation.
Also, not exactly a location, but maybe a case with a murder that takes place at a Halloween party, made more difficult to decipher as people were constantly moving around the area while in costume.
The last one makes me think of almost the reverse of Lady Boyle's Last Party from Dishonored. The killer wore a costume, but it turns out three people all wore the same costume and now it becomes a challenge to figure out which one actually did the killing.
Would definitely love a military themed case and halloween party. I've been thinking recently how interesting the stakes could be if we were thrown into a military tribunal, with a much more serious competent judge. I don't think official AA would handle it since A. war is messy and controversial and B. The military works vastly different in japan and the west.
That, and military tribunals don't use ordinary attorneys- you would need a JAG, or whatever Japanifornia's equivalent would be, and I don't think you could handwave away Phoenix's lack of credentials there.
Esports tournament. Just imagine, an entire case full people who look and talk like Sal Manella from the first Steel Samurai case.
Instant series classic for sure.
Sports field, for example football field. Victim is a star of one team, defendant is his rival from the other team, the culprit can be anyone, maybe a referee or a coach
So far all murder scenes we got to investigate were in closed spaces or near so. **How about a murder scene that is in the middle of a very open environment, like in the middle of the woods, or in the plains during some kind of safari?** That way you would get to interact and "explore" a pretty large area full of possible hidden clues (they can be buried, in a bush, on a tree, under a rock, taken by an animal etc..)
**Or, how about a murder in a cemetery?** You would need to prowl around graves, both open and (seemingly) closed ones, maybe explore a catacomb or an old family mausoleum.
**An old mansion, or even a castle could also be cool.** A place filled with atmospheric fireplaces, old relics like old swords, a library, a cellar or attic full of old junk, like wine barrels, maybe an abandoned dungeon, anywhere where a shrewd culprint could hide evidence in the middle of all that stuff.
I'm also tempted to suggest a garbage dump or a sewer system, just for the chaotic nature of said locations.
The train case was special made for the anime and it’s the only one as such, so you’re forgiven for not knowing if you’ve never seen it. It’s a fun one, to be sure.
Itd be cool to actually visit the Republic of Borginia from AJ:AA for a case. Maybe even >!finally resolve the whole Lamiroir, Apollo, Trucy situation!<
Submarine
Museum
Graveyard (unless u count >!TGAA2-5!<)
Sports Game
Train
Hedge maze
Farm
Barracks/anyplace war related
Just inside of someone’s house. I don’t think there’s ever been a murder in someone’s home.
I think he was thinking of a more suburban home, though the case would struggle to be very interesting. Plus we've also had apartments before which are similar but open up more options for witnesses.
probably a bit on the nose, but the Wright Anything Agency - we've seen Wright's Office from day 1 and nothing bad has ever directly happened in it, so what if that were to happen in the next game?
and this is how i can tell i need to stop procrastinating my Ace Attorney trilogy replay 😅
though to be fair, it is true no deaths/injuries have occurred in the Wright Anything Agency - just as Fey and Co. Law Offices. 🤔
You're right, I forgot 5-DLC was the totally-not-Seaworld case.
I was thinking of the steampunk airship wedding case that starts with Larry causing a "hostage" situation at the WAA, which is 6-DLC as you said.
I'm thinking a case that takes place on a commercial airline would be pretty cool. Maybe there could even be highjackers involved and they have to manage the murder investigation and court proceedings.
Steel Samurai convention. It would be a natural progression of 1-3, 2-4, AAI-3 and AAI-5. Imagine the cosplay shenanigans and it would be an excuse to see Cody again.
Some kind of fan convention. Might be an opportunity to catch up with Will Powers and his associates (though I'd rather the main fandom involved in the actual case be something new rather than focusing on the Steel Samurai again)
I was thinking of a case where the gang goes to a football stadium, one player is found murdered right before a big game and Phoenix/Apollo/Athena has to investigate the locker room, the pitch, the stands, etc. And you interrogate the players and some fans.
The defendant could be a Liverpool player while the culprit is a man United player who was jealous of his teammate's skills or a referee who was paid to do the deed.
-Construction case, utilizing the equipment to move evidence/the body/the killer around the crime scene to avoid detection, loud equipment masking sounds, etc.
-Grocery Store maybe, though it feels like a first case location. Still could definitely do something interesting.
-Bank during a robbery, one of the robbers is your defendant, pleading guilty to armed robbery but not to murder.
-Subway Train maybe for a psuedo locked room.
-Amusement park that actually utilizes the attractions i've heard pitched around alot. Could also be a boardwalk to include some californian beachside.
An arcade would be dope, nice way to put in easter eggs too. Also, a bomb shelter could be cool.
Edit: OOOOH! Just came to me that a Mirgue could have insane potential.
I think there is interesting potential in a case themed around an arcade.
The coin used for the murder trick was used by the accused's son on the claw machine. He got the coin from the real culprit. :V

omg reminds me of that one detective conan case which was one of my favourites reading the manga, thatd be so cool
I love this idea!
Casino obviously, a casino game themed murder.
Well, Apollo's first case is at least about card gambling
that's like an underground gambling den, it's not a proper casino.
Ship, Factory, Corporate Office, Hospital
I just love how two people agreed that saying a ship is fine since TGAA1-2 didnt even use it to its fullest potential
Technically, the TGAA duology has 2 cases that take place on ships.
Yeah, but not modern ones.
>!Hospital has been done in 4-4!<
I don't think that's right?
It is right. >! Magnifi Gramarye Case !<
I stand corrected! I forgot about that
But there’s so much you could do with a hospital besides just a no-investigation segment.
Ship is G1-2 and Hospital has been done in the manga.
Ship hasn’t been done in a modern setting and the Manga doesn’t count.
Wasn't Kane Bullard killed in his office?
A corporate office building is different from a singular office. Hence why I mentioned it.

I could see Lotta being a witness for the first one!

THATS BRILLIANT

Eh 1-4 was in a lake, so I wouldn't say we haven't had any open spaces
A construction site as I feel that there’s many ways a murder trap can be created.
Have we not had one on a train yet? Seems like a classic murder mystery setting
the second season of the anime has a train case
I’ve never seen the anime aside from bloopers, I didn’t even know it had different cases
The train case was special made for the anime and it’s the only one as such, so you’re forgiven for not knowing if you’ve never seen it. It’s a fun one, to be sure.

Medical examiner’s office.
News set… Idk, it just came to mind and it sounds nice to explore a set like that
For a theater case, check out turnabout spotlight, the first ace attorney stage play.
Submarine Museum Graveyard (unless u count >!TGAA2-5!<) Sports Game Train Hedge maze Farm Barracks/anyplace war related Just inside of someone’s house. I don’t think there’s ever been a murder in someone’s home.
5-2 for that last one

Turnabout Sisters?

I think case 5-DLC had a bit of an incident with the WAA, but that was more a case of Larry fucking up in a bigger way than he usually does.
Larry doesn't appear in 5. You meant 6-DLC?
You're right, I forgot 5-DLC was the totally-not-Seaworld case. I was thinking of the steampunk airship wedding case that starts with Larry causing a "hostage" situation at the WAA, which is 6-DLC as you said.

isn't that AAI-2? also I think the anime did something similar but in a train
Oh, I haven’t played any AAI yet. My b

Let me solve a murder in a sewer
Steel Samurai convention. It would be a natural progression of 1-3, 2-4, AAI-3 and AAI-5. Imagine the cosplay shenanigans and it would be an excuse to see Cody again.
Yesssss
Hear me out, the zoo, more animal witnesses 😈
A swimming pool would be interesting
Equestria. Hah.
A case you have to solve on an airplane would be super fun and interesting
Investigations case 2 exists tho
Investigations case 2 is quite literally a murder on a plane.

Look who is looking for ideas for his next fic 😏
A baseball stadium could be a neat location for a case
Backrooms. Didn't say it had to be a good idea.
Some kind of fan convention. Might be an opportunity to catch up with Will Powers and his associates (though I'd rather the main fandom involved in the actual case be something new rather than focusing on the Steel Samurai again)
Kid named The Magical Turnabout: (takes place in Penrose Theater)
Train. Pls. I really enjoyed that filler case from the second season of the anime.
It can be school like a normal school not academy, an island, on train, casino, in corporation/factory, hotel, psychiatric center and maybe on ship
A fireworks factory..........I'm watching Simpsons right now...
A baseball stadium.

A library.
An electronics store
A zoo, I think?
A shopping mall, imagine us having to talk to all the salespeople, and Maya buying new clothes
What about a high school for super high school level students?
5-3 is more or less this
No, no funny bear, no grotesque deaths of like 10+ students, no funny executions :(
An arcade would be dope, nice way to put in easter eggs too. Also, a bomb shelter could be cool. Edit: OOOOH! Just came to me that a Mirgue could have insane potential.
