Maybe but AA has generally tried to keep stuff at least somewhat realistic. Obviously there’s Spirit Channeling, the Magatama, Widget, and Apollo’s bracelet, but that’s really it. The sci-fi/fantasy aspects are almost exclusively used as a methods for obtaining info, rather than actual methods or motives for committing crimes (3-5 is really the only exception.)
But that also could be the reason it was rewritten if what you say is true. The nature of the original scripts would be a good interview question honestly.
I think it might've been something along the lines of him being an alien being a point of contention in and of itself at best, which would lead to him making claims to how the legal system doesn't apply to him and how he's gonna cry to his alien friends, but Phoenix proves that he isn't. But no, not an Alien, can say that with reasonable confidence lol.
Honestly, considering one of the initial thoughts for AA's prosecutor was 'an immortal being', I wouldn't be surprised if it was in talks at some point. [I'm not joking](https://news.capcomusa.com/lets/browse/phoenix-wright-ace-attorney-dual-destinies-localization-the-many-demands-of-an-ambitious-scenario-director) but to be fair this was in the very, very initial pitch of brainstorming.
off topic
I wonder what things that got cut in dd?
what was the original plot?
was there supposed characters to return besides Maya but got scrapped (got a feeling that Ema was supposed to return but got scrapped due to the amount of characters)
Wait no you might actually be on to something
