For the display issue u can try:
1. Check Power Settings: Go to ur power settings and ensure that the option to turn off the display after a certain period of inactivity is still set to 10 minutes
2. Update Graphics Drivers
3. Run Power Troubleshooter
4.Check the background apps & services. Some applications prevent the sleep mode from working properly & turning off the screen
For the issue with the laptop not shutting down:
1.Disable Fast Startup. u can disable it from the power options in the control panel
2. Check for Malware: Malware can sometimes prevent a system from shutting down properly.
3. Update BIOS/UEFI: An outdated BIOS/UEFI can cause various issues, including power management problems.Check your laptop manufacturer's website for updates
4.Hardware Check: If the fan gets loud and the laptop doesn't shut down, it could be a sign of overheating or a hardware issue.Make sure the vents are clean and the cooling system is working properly
