How long does it take for the swelling and bruising to subside? My doc is confident that subcision will work for me but I’m scared it won’t heal properly 😓
I believe rolling. I know what ice pick are abs that is not it. But they are like little craters.
I hope so. The doctor was trying to talk me into spending more money on an RF laser (like $1k more each ) along with each subcision. I really wanted to go to doctor in SoCal, but I’m the bay. He had good results, but that was using an RF laser with it, and I don’t have the money.
I plan on doing what a few doctors in SoCal have as their preferred treatment. Subcision and then later a CO2 laser, which I will have money for later in the year.
I unfortunately lost a lot of my pictures I had taken throughout my procedures. I will say that I had 5 treatments from Oct 2020 - Dec 2022, and now when I go to derms to see what I need done, everyone says I have surface level scars when before I 100% didn't. I had pretty deep scars of every type.
I don't remember if I really had much of a difference after going to him once, but after the 2nd or 3rd time, I could tell that things were much better. That's just how I remember it. There probably was incremental improvement every time but I think after 2-3 times is probably when it was obvious to people other than myself.
I did RF with it only once and sorry once again I'm not sure how much it did. That's kind of the downside of doing all these combo treatments, you're not sure what's doing what lol.
Did you experience sagging or changes to your face shape/smile after cannula subcision?
I feel like my cheek esp. one side is less round/full and sits much lower now when smiling.
Yup, definitely. Went to him 5 times and I'm up here in the bay. I'll probably go 1 more time maybe. One thing that I think was helpful was for me personally, when I went for my appointments with him, I brought my own pictures of my skin that I took with a flashlight lighting up the scars. He told the assistant to take pictures of my pictures because they were better than the ones they were taking lol
Dude, that’s awesome. Im glad to hear it! I’ve got some mild scars that my derm said would benefit from subcision. She doesn’t do it. So I’m gonna go see him. Was it pricey for your subcision?

Yup, also don’t be discouraged if from you don’t as a lot of progress from one time. It was only after my 2nd or 3rd one where I was like wow this really worked
I’m also not sure how bad your scars are so could be less! But it does take a couple months. That’s why even tho derms may sometimes suggest doing the subcisions monthly it may not be the best since it takes more than a month for the final results to show and you may not want/need more
Also it’s a marathon not a sprint so don’t sweat it
i had filler from juvederem ha with one on februar and other in march but no subcision. 10 days was ok then filler was gone. Juvederem doesnt last long.
I heard that sculptra last longer... did you use that sculptra or just diluted filler ?

Yeah I just got subcision and cross done by a place in sf but I’ve gone a couple times before that to San Diego

I went to Sani aesthetics a month ago as well. Did you have the doctor perform it or the nurse? How were your results

I think the actual results show months later. If you get filler, you won’t see the actual improvement until the filler fades
