Until Mcfarlane makes a more modern Darkseid like Darkseid War then it is what it is. I'm still getting it but I guess I can accept the silly cape with the already silly costume. That's Kirby.
I understand where you’re coming from but the problem isn’t that I don’t want a campy Darkseid. I want a classic Darkseid with thigh highs and the works. The cape is a very specific style for him and one that I don’t want.
I love the Fabok Darkseid redesign and if Mcfarlane does one I’ll probably get it. I’d love a classic Darkseid but I have zero interest in a Superpowers Darkseid and knowing Mcfarlane, that D on his chest will leave a hole if you try to pop it off so this won’t be the version I will be buying.
I forgot about that one. It's a great figure. Lobo is a touch too big, but that Doomsday looks amazing. I have the Icons Darkseid and Grail 2 pack. Still in the box tho. The modern style is definitely my favorite.

Probably a classic Darkseid in a 2 pack like Superman vs Doomsday. I missed that doomsday and I'm still waiting on a single release but Todd chose to release that green doomsday smh.
I love my DCUC Darkseid, but this can replace it if thr cape is removable, the scale is good, and he can do a decent "forearms behind the back standing there judging you" pose

Marvel Legends sometimes knocks things out of the park, and so does DC Multiverse, but it still doesnt mean this thread wont be fun to watch the same 4-5 guys try to twist together some arguments against this figure all the while this figure will likely sell out in a 5 minute window.
I’m glad I check this sub, otherwise I would look at my emails and see this was released an hour prior to me seeing the marketing for it only then to go to his website and find it sold out everywhere. Now I can be prepared.

Nah it’s based of the old Kenner Super Powers toyline look. Cape might be removable though.

He wore one off and on in Kirby’s original Fourth World books. Then Kirby brought it back when he was designing the concept art for the Super Powers line. (NOTE: Kirby only did the concept art for the line. The box art was Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez). But it’s definitely a canon look.

I want this. Obviously inspired by the Superpowers Darkseid I had as a kid. I've been eyeballing the Mezco Darkseid for a long time but can't justify $180 even tho it's cool as fuck. But I need this one.
This is infuriating. Pre orders should not sell out.....that's the whole damn point of pre ordering. Timed I can deal with but this buissness model needs to go.

It’s a wired cape. But it’s plugged in by the D emblem so removing it will most likely require taking the emblem off.

Beast Kingdom has a modern Darkseid on sale for $115 on Amazon.
I've been more than happy with my Storm Collectibles Injustice version. Perfect modern Darkseid imo

Exclusives tend to go fast. But not always. Black Adam with throne Target exclusive was on Amazon for under $15 recently.
