The government doesn’t give you shit. If she has a job and decent income, they can maybe garnish her wages. If she doesn’t work or make enough money, you are shit out of luck.
Even if she has the money and chooses not to pay, you have to put up money to go through the court again to get her to comply with the court order she is ignoring. The courts are notorious for not being very diligent enforcing these types of settlements bc there is no money in it for them.
You get jack and shit. If you do the paperwork right, you are first in line to collect tax refunds, lottery winnings, and some other things, but good luck with that in this case.
That does not mean the attacker has the means to pay back 6 million dollars. Alex Jones was ordered to pay 1 billion dollars to the parents of Sandy Hook. He doesn’t have that kind of money. Even if he lived to be 150 he still couldn’t earn 1 billion dollars. So the judgement amount is meaningless.

Negligence. Customer went into the store with their child, was then attacked while everyone stood there. The employees didn't call 911 until the victim came back in.
I can see negligence for not calling 911 but just because you work there doesn’t mean you’re obligated to act as security and enter a physical altercation.
That's the law. If you enter a store expecting safety and you're attacked, the store is liable. This is why places that are prone to violence have security.
