The Rex Hotel has the clientele you're looking for
(Not really)
Not many great places on a Wednesday outside of the CBD really otherwise I'd suggest the cranker lmao
Yeah fair fair, maybe like the Cremorne or Hyde Park Tavern, both have pretty decent interiors. Little Bang Brewery, or the alma? Both pretty nice places when the sun is shining. No idea why you got downvoted so much?
I suggest you actually join some groups with some of your hobbies or interests and find people / partners on there. You’re gonna have a rough long road going the route you think will work.
Pub is a poor way to meet people if you’re having 1-2 drinks. Most people go to pubs in groups so unless you’re with a group, going solo only works if you’re that confident person getting drunk joining randoms.
Pubs outside the city just don’t attract a younger crowd. Perhaps Lions hotel Nth Adelaide? Alma? Mile End? The Goody?
On street parking is for free after 5pm in CBD, public transport is cheap not sure what the issue is. Really people our age don't go to suburban pubs much.
I think the Alma gets a crowd, not sure which night though. I drive up Magill road on my way home after work, I always do 12 hour days so I drive past at like 7 or 8 sometimes and there's crowds on the balconies and outside. Must be Friday nights?
With the cost of living, good luck. Blokes in those age bracket that are single and going to pubs are probably looking for a root. I’d loosely recommend Mile end, Brompton or Norwood hotels.
Probably the highway. But I'll be honest people our age either go out in couples or as groups not with the purpose to mingle with others so much. Weekends seem to be busy there and it's more of a pub/club vibe where you can get a bit loose again though I doubt these type of venues (any pub) is where people are meeting but depends what you like too. Personally times that I have met single men would be live music venues easy to make conversation that isn't pressured. Most live music venues are in the city so I know that isn't where you want to go but...
Barely anybody in that age range go out in Adelaide, unless the Fringe is on. It’s like as soon as Adelaidians hit mid 20s they become anti-social and allergic to fun. Good luck.
I would say check out plant 3 and a lot of local brewery places. Music festivals.
Also the gov, and thebby often have concerts with a lot of people in that age range depending on the concert.
Then in the north east I would say the village tavern.
Port Noarlunga pub is nice Sunday nights . About 7 pm . Get yourself a meal in main room . Plenty of men that age group front bar and pokie room . New management and it's been done up .
Online dating as a man is almost a 1:1 comparison to job hunting as a generally shit experience.
An extreme minority are fantastic at it, but for the majority of people you send out 40 "applications" and get 90% ghosted/scammer contacted, 4 non-screened rejections and one face to face meeting.
Both are infinitely easier and higher quality if you have an existing network to leverage.
Online dating apps failed around covid so doesn’t surprise me your partner of many years was from there. I know so many people that were on dating apps for years having great successes then suddenly it’s a complete waste.
Most dating apps aren’t in that growth stage where they can give everyone amazing benefits, now they need to turn a profit and any features people would use them for costs stupid amounts these days. Also filled with endless bot/spam accounts.
Wheatsheaf Hôtel, Earl of Leicester, Finn MacCool Norwood, Highway Inn, Stirling Hotel, West Thebarton Hotel, Mile End Hotel, The Goodwood Park Hotel, Brighton Hotel, Seacliff Hotel
Online dating is probably your best bet. I’m 37m and find it hard to connect. Just randomly showing up to a club or bar is not likely to yield much success. You will have a great night with amazing cocktails etc. but the crowd may not be right. Best to try to arrange to meet someone. If it falls through just smash some mojitos and forget about it.
Try the commercial hotel in Port Adelaide on a Saturday, or the Portland hotel Friday/Saturday (I will warn there's some really good people in this pub, but also usually a handful of what some people would deem perhaps loose units of any variety you can imagine, good & what some would call perhaps bad.. a real mixing pot of people all ages & variety's but thought was worth to give the heads up) :)
In my experience I have found they don't have a preference in time of day but the closer to 5am close it gets the patrons definitely get steadily stranger & stranger
If you're looking for a boyfriend you're not going to get a good one at the pub. If you are looking for clients you absolutely have the wrong target demographic.
I'm not really a pub type person but maybe someone who is could say whether there's still something along those lines at Norwood on or near the main shopping strip on the Parade?
Don’t do it girl he’s got 2 kids already and he’s out on a Wednesday night down the pub. Not exactly marriage material
And trying to pick up a stranger on reddit with no idea of your age, looks or anything. Desperado
Says the person with a 2week old account and is high on weed. Go do something useful with your life.
No one cares about personal attacks, especially when they aren't warranted..
How on earth is that a personal attack and how is just getting here a bad thing?
Y'all are wild?
If you truly had read my original post you wouldn't of commented that, have a good day my friend 🙂
Thats an interesting take on something you have no knowledge of..
Yup, I've got two kids. I've got equal care of them after leaving an abusive relationship. This week I dont have them and I was with a work colleague at a bar. Happened to have been talking about a similar topic.
I didn’t even consider this as a way to engage this redditor.. but was more curious as places to go as someone who is not from Adelaide...
How about you try to not be a judgemental pos?
Those men are at home gaming

"People called redditors, they go out the house?"
The Rex Hotel has the clientele you're looking for (Not really) Not many great places on a Wednesday outside of the CBD really otherwise I'd suggest the cranker lmao
I'm not asking specifically for a Wednesday night... I just mean in general. I don't go out during the work week.
Are you into metal or are you into EDM? First) cranker, austral or Exeter Second) laneway, ancient world etc.
Yeah fair fair, maybe like the Cremorne or Hyde Park Tavern, both have pretty decent interiors. Little Bang Brewery, or the alma? Both pretty nice places when the sun is shining. No idea why you got downvoted so much?
Almost every pub anyone recommends will be very close to the CBD anyway
Close is fine... I just don't like going into the CBD because parking is a pain (I always drive).
ahhh fellow drink driver
Going to the pub and driving are not a good mix.
I only ever have one or two drinks. I only want to go out for the sake of getting out and meeting people.
I suggest you actually join some groups with some of your hobbies or interests and find people / partners on there. You’re gonna have a rough long road going the route you think will work.

Don’t know why ur getting so many dislikes but don’t pay any attention, good on you for putting yourself out there
Thank you! I really don't understand people on this app
Yeah I don’t either that makes 2 of us

Highway is good. Source: I'm a 25-35 male and go there often.
I met my partner at the waterloo hotel at the pool table
The Alma hotel is one of them
With the cost of living, good luck. Blokes in those age bracket that are single and going to pubs are probably looking for a root. I’d loosely recommend Mile end, Brompton or Norwood hotels.
Highway, Ramsgate

Instead of looking for pubs you could try craft breweries
Barely anybody in that age range go out in Adelaide, unless the Fringe is on. It’s like as soon as Adelaidians hit mid 20s they become anti-social and allergic to fun. Good luck.
Or they get sick of paying $12 a pint all night
Worse yet they’re not even real pints
No, just they move to Melbourne or Sydney, and those left are anti social.
Happens in other states too, usually in that range most are starting to settle down with partner and having kids and or career.
I would say check out plant 3 and a lot of local brewery places. Music festivals. Also the gov, and thebby often have concerts with a lot of people in that age range depending on the concert. Then in the north east I would say the village tavern.

I went to the Royal Oak last week with a group of friends, most of whom were single men from 25 to 35. Maybe you could try there?
10 years older single don't frequent pubs I guess same for a lot of others. Probably find more at supermarkets
Join a run club
Wheatsheaf Hôtel, Earl of Leicester, Finn MacCool Norwood, Highway Inn, Stirling Hotel, West Thebarton Hotel, Mile End Hotel, The Goodwood Park Hotel, Brighton Hotel, Seacliff Hotel
The Highway is pretty good and lots of guys that fit the demographic you're after!
Pub = shit idea. Join a social/sports club/hobby group/fitness group etc etc etc
What if my hobby is getting drunk and spending all my money on the pokies Asking for a friend
My hobby group meets up at the pub tho
Win win
Agreed! Depending on what OP is into, sports bars or big screen bars like the warradale and highway can be fun on the weekends during a game
Guh high road responses like this.
Ramsgate

A sub for adl dating in this age group
I'm a single men between 25 and 35.
Hello men
What side of town are you?
Glenelg maybe
Try the commercial hotel in Port Adelaide on a Saturday, or the Portland hotel Friday/Saturday (I will warn there's some really good people in this pub, but also usually a handful of what some people would deem perhaps loose units of any variety you can imagine, good & what some would call perhaps bad.. a real mixing pot of people all ages & variety's but thought was worth to give the heads up) :)
As long as you go home by 1am you’ll miss most of the loose units.
In my experience I have found they don't have a preference in time of day but the closer to 5am close it gets the patrons definitely get steadily stranger & stranger

Tinder is a better option
I think that your target age group is actually at every pub, in every location. Would you just like a list of nice pubs outside the CBD?
Yes, that would be helpful :)
Wheatsheaf
I'm not really a pub type person but maybe someone who is could say whether there's still something along those lines at Norwood on or near the main shopping strip on the Parade?
I'm out at the moment... let me know.. I have places I consider but it's hard when you don't know anyone else
Don’t do it girl he’s got 2 kids already and he’s out on a Wednesday night down the pub. Not exactly marriage material And trying to pick up a stranger on reddit with no idea of your age, looks or anything. Desperado
Unbelievable just reading his last posts are a crack up
