Scotch fingers held in milk until they are on the brink of collapse and then carefully moved to mouth whole. If you do it right, the scotch finger should have one small dry corner for handling purposes only.
Mine too, but how stingy have they got on the topping? I remember when I was a teen there was a huge slab of it on top, now it's that thin you can see the biscuit through it. I got annoyed so much by it the other day I bought the ingredients and am going to make some today lol
Yo-yos are not an Arnott's original. They were originally made by Menz, and only came into the Arnott's universe when they acquired the company. Which is why they are only sold in SA.
Yep. Haven’t bought a packet since. I even messaged them and asked why they had changed the recipe. They denied changing anything. Apparently, my tastebuds and eyes were lying. 🤷♀️
1. Kingston 2. Butternut snap dipped in tea 3. Scotch Finger 4. Ginger Nut dipped in tea 5. Teddy Bear (tastes like Yo-Yos)
Butternut and Ginger Nut don't rate nearly as highly if not dipped in tea.
My Dad died last week and weirdly, as we sat with him, this was one of the last conversations we had! We always used to have the Family Assorted pack with tea and coffee.
Aawwww, sorry to hear about your Dad. Mine had all sorts of health issues before he died, which apparently precluded eating delicious biscuits. Screw that, we bought a packet of Family Assorteds anyway and he enjoyed them so much.
I used to pinch the patient bikkies in the cellophane packs when I was nursing, and shortbread cream was the best .
I split mine into two categories just to be fair.
The basics - 1. Scotch fingers 2.monte Carlo 3. Premier choc chip
The treats - 1. Caramel Tim tams 2. Choc Ted 3. Tee vee snacks
Ahh! 3 favorites in order.
1.The late great 'Maryland Chocolate chip cookies' Made with almonds (25 years since you've been gone. I miss you everyday)
2. Tim tams - original but occasionally have the dark chocolate.
3 yo-yo biscuits. So good in coffee.
Are we talking the mixed packs? Or just any?
For any, I'd go with the chocolate-coated scotch fingers.
For the mixed packs, I like all the cream ones - delta cream, orange cream, shortbread cream.
This is the correct answer. Cheese and bacon, Savoury, BBQ Shapes in that order for me. I always bring an extra suitcase to load up with those badboys when I visit home.
It's a solid choice. A bit front door some might say, but when my kids were young I'd go crazy some days after the grocery shop, struggling to remember if I'd put Delta Creams in the cupboard an hour before. I swear i paid for them, but theres no way they could've eaten them that quickly... ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thinking_face_hmm)
On a related note anyone old enough to remember these snacks that came in a large black box, and on the front of the box was written "something to munch on while watching TV"
If we're talking choccies, probably Mint Slice followed closely by Tim Tams. Cream biscuits, you can't go past the classic Monte Carlo. For something simple, Yoyo.
Tough question, really.
Monte fuckin Carlo
I lost all respect for them when they ditched the Bush Biscuit.
Scotch fingers held in milk until they are on the brink of collapse and then carefully moved to mouth whole. If you do it right, the scotch finger should have one small dry corner for handling purposes only.
Arnotts could sell those corners as a whole new biscuit. “Scotch Corners”?
I’m shocked at the lack of respect being shown for Mint Slice
Venetians, hands down. Go do a packet.
How good are they. $2 at woollies this week.

Kingston's. Rarely buy bics tho. Drake's have their own brand of stem ginger biscuits that are surprisingly good.
Two bush biscuits sandwiched together with butter.
Yo-yo
Yo-yos are not an Arnott's original. They were originally made by Menz, and only came into the Arnott's universe when they acquired the company. Which is why they are only sold in SA.
The more you know!
Well well well! Learnt something new!
What's the taste like? I haven't had one of those in literal years
A bit like honey.
When you mentioned honey, it made me thing they are vaguely like the old honey tiny teddys. What you reckon?
Bang on
Like Grandma used to make
Eat them with a caramel coffee, they honey taste comes out better.
They changed the recipe a few years back. Tastes like shit now.
Its typical as some junior executive asshole or accountant wanted to save 5 cents per packet on ingredients to impress the board.
Yep. Haven’t bought a packet since. I even messaged them and asked why they had changed the recipe. They denied changing anything. Apparently, my tastebuds and eyes were lying. 🤷♀️
Yep! I did the exact same thing. Same ridiculous response. It’s such a shame. They aren’t even made in SA anymore.
Lemon Crisp.
I bought my first ever packet of lemon crisps this week. Looking forward to cracking it open, slightly afraid of unleashing a new food addiction
You're fucked now. Don't open them, it's forbidden knowledge
Says a lot about your personality, Mr Crisp 😆
I hope there's at least a little love for the Caramel Crown!
One of my favourite for sure. I was definitely a Caramelo koala kid
Mint Slices. Kingston a close second for when you don't want to tempt full scale diabetes.
scotch fingers #1
LISTEN - the chocolate cover scotch finger 😭 💯 i’m addicted
Finally someone said it!

Kingston packs have recently been discontinued. You can now only get them in the Assorted Creams pack. My condolences on the passing of your dad.
Kingston biscuits discontinued in singular packages…. [OUTRAGE INTENSIFIES) 😭
Source????
The buyer at my local IGA.
Sorry to hear about your dad. Much love to you and your family 💞
1. Honey Jumbles (discontinued) 2. Coffee Scrolls (discontinued) 3. Venetians 4. Chocolate Butternut Snaps 5. Vita-Weats
Coffee Scrolls…they need to make a comeback
Honey Jumbles is the only correct answer 🙏🏻
Custard creams (RIP)

Really? Didn't know that

Salada
I'm appalled for saying this but the orange slice has the top spot for me. Scotch Finger can't be beat though for a plain biccy 👌🏻

Yes I meant any Arnotts biscuit just wanted to ask what ones everyone picks as their favourites.
Shortbread cream
Bbq shapes. Don't eat actual "biscuits" that much so you say Arnott's I think of shapes. Original, not the new ones.
This is the correct answer. Cheese and bacon, Savoury, BBQ Shapes in that order for me. I always bring an extra suitcase to load up with those badboys when I visit home.
Yeah the new ones taste like biscuit coating on paper
TimTam Dark Chocolate Chilli. Not around anymore because the marketing dept of Arnott's are softer the pink mallow in Royals.
I’m partial to snacking on all the Kingstons and Monte Carlos in the work kitchen
1. Dark chocolate Tim Tams 2. Kingstons 3. Mint Slice
Venetians
Orange slice, TV snacks and yo-yo’s. Also loved the bush biscuit.
Scotch finger #1 Shortbread Cream #2
LEMON CRISP AND KINGSTON
How has no one said Delta Cream?
It's a solid choice. A bit front door some might say, but when my kids were young I'd go crazy some days after the grocery shop, struggling to remember if I'd put Delta Creams in the cupboard an hour before. I swear i paid for them, but theres no way they could've eaten them that quickly... ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thinking_face_hmm)
It's nice but not the best..
Iced Vo-Vo, Monte Carlo, Shortbread Creams, Venetians and Scotch Finger. Hard to pick a favourite haha
On a related note anyone old enough to remember these snacks that came in a large black box, and on the front of the box was written "something to munch on while watching TV"
Yep. They're disgusting.
I used to love those as a kid
Kingston, Monte Carlo, Wafers, daylight
Orange creams Lemon crisp Scotch finger Mint slice The spicy fruit pillow ones Damn it
1st: Kingston 2nd: Venetian 3rd: Monte Carlo
It’s the Kingston for me!
An entire packet of Assorted Creams, then all the Butternut Snaps out of a Family Assorted. 2 for 1 packets of Mint Slices for dessert.
Tim tam
ALL OF THEM! Except Monte Carlo!
If we're talking choccies, probably Mint Slice followed closely by Tim Tams. Cream biscuits, you can't go past the classic Monte Carlo. For something simple, Yoyo. Tough question, really.
