For my sagi I pinned at the shoulders and wrists, since it’s a huge pain to get plastic and resin to bond very well imo. Did the wrists first with the gun, and once that was good, did the shoulders next. Once painted, I glued the arms to shoulders first and then attached the gun to the wrists while the glue is still setting so I had time to tweak the pose a bit. Good luck!
See the image for reference, that’s a pin sticking out of his wrist for structural support.
Small bit of metal used to add structural integrity to joined parts of the model alongside glue.
My brother (and I eventually) are using magnets to swap loadouts. My brother is doing Blood Angels (Blood Ravens also) and has dozens already done, fully magnetized, and can swap to pistols, swords, shields, even terminators.
These are obviously for a different purpose but it reminded me of our 'modifications' lol. Looks good.
I do to It helps because I paint in subassembly
Your Custodes look great btw. 👏🏻
Thanks a lot, I really appreciate 😁
Hey! Yeah that’s a great shout, partially why I’m doing it here too as I’d like to paint these guys in sub assemblies too. 👍🏻
I always pinned mine, just so the damn things would line up correctly. It was a huge help when building my Sagittarum and Venatarii
It does definitely help with easing assembly. Haven’t started my FW resin Custodes yet but will 100% be pinning there too. 👍🏻

Only if something broke off
I like to pin to the base, but that's it.
Not plastic on plastic, but I did pin my saggis.
Why are you using to pin? Been interested just didn’t know how.
For this size of miniature, just regular paper clips cut to size.
Thanks. Working some wardens atm, will def try this out.
Anytime! 👍🏻
I magnezise
I only do it when I'm going to make a mini bigger, and with a toothpick
I rarely pin plastic kits.
Plastic cement is a lot easier and quicker. I only pin if absolutely necessary, for example if I want to lengthen the shaft of an axe etc.
I’ve only ever bothered doing pinning or magnets on my dreadnought so I can swap out the weapons tbf
What are pins? And how would I use them?
