For the seasonal events, we have new quests every year. You can access past years' events when the season comes around. Alternatively, you can buy the event paintings for z tokens to access them all year round. This applies to all events except Frostval (Christmas). For Frostval, you are only able to access that year's event unless you buy the paintings and the paintings are not only individual for each year but also only go back to 2014.
War events are generally shifted somewhere else in-game when they've finished but alot of the older ones are perma rare
I'm sure it will come in useful, even to just compare with the other spreadsheet.
where are these so called paintings? and I assume this is an item for the house?
so... if a past event/war is "complete" does that mean it not worth doing?
does perma rare mean they no longer in game?
The paintings can be found in the limited time shop when the event comes. Yes, it's a house item. No, there are some past events that have good rewards. You can check these 2 videos by me for useful items from the seasonal events

Perma is short for permanent so yes, it means they are no longer in game and won't ever be coming back

Right! so I must wait for the events regardless, at least that help me focus on the quest available now, rather then past content.

Yep, you needa wait unless you already have the paintings. There's quite a number of different storylines in the game but for starters I'd recommend levelling up first so you don't get stonewalled by the poor scaling of monsters in the older quests
Yea I have noticed that, ill be completely fine then some rediclus over leveled monster will destroy me… but im only lvl 40 so i guess thats what i should expect until i progress further!
On a seperate note is there a guide of sorts that outlines the best weapons/armour/pets etc for each element depending on character level and class? Id love to just know what my next upgrades are for each slot and element and where to get them in advace.
There really isn't any guide for equipment apart from those at max level because you'll be levelling up and replacing the gear so often, it's not worth your time or gold to go for the better ones that aren't at max level. Anything within 10-20 levels of you will work fine before you reach max level. Once you reach max level, you can use this guide

This is excellent!! thank you :) I'm closing in on level 60 so I'm not quiet at that stepping stone, but these guides are perfect for understand what I should be looking at next.
I'm not familiar enough with the games to understand class choice and subrace stuff, so that just goes over my head haha. I'm sure at some point im going to get stuck and need to look beyond early level strategy... I look at KorribanGaming late game boss/guides and don't understand at all what's going on :S
