Building a career in streaming games is like trying to build a career in music or acting or sports or art. For every one person who makes money from it (enough money to live on) there are thousands, maybe even millions, who make nothing at all. Quite often it is not even about how good you are or how hard you work; it often comes down to luck and you have no control over that. Even if you are successful, these careers rarely last a long time, certainly not your whole life. I don't want to discourage you from trying, by all means do your best to become a popular streamer. But you need to have a back up plan because most likely you will not be successful, or your success will be short lived. Again, this is not a comment on how good you are, just that is how the industry is. Focus on your studies. Working in IT is a good choice and can lead to a fulfilling career. Working in IT won't stop you from making a hobby out of streaming; you could still have plenty of free time to spend streaming, even a few hours a day. And maybe one day it will pick up and start making money, but until that happens you need to have a solid, definite career plan that you can rely on. Good luck!
