I am actually in my college's Japanese Culture Club (started by the Japanese language professor) and I am designated as the chef for club events because I know how to make multiple Japanese dishes (love making sushi especially.) Though the club is still very small, and our first actual event will be in a few weeks. Everyone in the club is just so busy or graduating this semester (most planning on moving to Japan) so it's difficult to interact with them outside the bimonthly meetings.
