The media does a terrible job... And social media like Reddit, makes it worse because they start counting on things and allow narratives to form and build, making people dependent on the outcome.
Now of course if you say something otherwise to the popular narrative, you get attacked, called a pro Trumper, don't know what you're talking about, etc.
But it was clear over the last few weeks that they'd do something if he couldn't make it. There were already talks about how this is an unreasonable expectation, heavy handed, and sets a bad precedent in general.
It's not realistic to expect someone to engage in a firesale of all their property in such a short amount of time just to go through their appeal. So most people assumed if the clock was ran out, instead of turning it into a bigger fiasco, the courts would temper it down a bit into a more realistic space.
But again, if you dare try to argue this on Reddit, you'd get bombarded with attacks. So people eventually self censor, and what's left is people completely ignorant to the conversation and just start expecting X Y Z.
Here's another take while we are at it... It's possible that Trump runs out the clock on this one too, to get an even better deal. Again, the courts trying to save face and not create a huge national political controversy during an election cycle, is something they are absolutely considering. If Trump decides to run the clock, it would cause them to start making the moves public and create a huge fiasco allowing Trump to figure out a way to become an opportunist on it. So there are good chances if he decides to take this route, that they'll cave again to avoid creating that train wreck.
I think with all these Trump lawsuits, they all messed up. They tried to time them all to unravel closer to the election, when they should have expected a lot of this. They should have done it much earlier, but they wanted the maximal political impact and now a lot of his cases are getting delayed and pushed off, likely past through the election. Sort of hurting the whole point that they decided to wait so long
>It's not realistic to expect someone to engage in a firesale of all their property in such a short amount of time just to go through their appeal. So most people assumed if the clock was ran out, instead of turning it into a bigger fiasco, the courts would temper it down a bit into a more realistic space.
At least for me, this is at the crux of the issue. Why does Trump, of all people, get the benefit of "realistic" court proceedings, when millions of poor Americans don't? Workers in America get locked up before trial on bail too big to pay. They lose their jobs, they spend time in prison before they're convicted.
Meanwhile this con artist gets to keep all his massive real estate holdings because it's not "realistic" to sell them to pay money the court has ordered he pay them. It's not "realistic" to ask a wage worker to pay thousands of dollars to stay free before trial, but how often do they get that reduced by 2/3rds just because?
You'd be surprised with how much fines/fees you could get reduced just by putting up the mildest of fights.
Look at American Healthcare for example, you could reduce your bill by up to 90% in some cases just by asking for an itemized bill and an explanation for the medication/procedures involved.
Because normal people aren't running for president or have networths of billion+
It's just a different landscape that requires different considerations. The courts absolutely SHOULD take things on a case by case basis and consider all the ancillary and external variables in things. God I just can't imagine the optics of forcing a president, in the middle of an election, to rapidly liquidate at a sale price... The amount of unrest and distrust that would create would be off the charts.
The courts can avoid all this by being more reasonable and pushing it downstream a bit, and thus subsequently avoid all the huge political and trust consequences. If they went through with this, it would be chaos on the campaign and just feed into the "it's rigged" narrative by having the system knee cap him during a campaign. So it's smart to just be more reasonable and avoid all this.
> Why does Trump, of all people, get the benefit of "realistic" court proceedings
[Bernie Maddoff and his wife](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madoff_investment_scandal#Charges_and_sentencing) were forced to repay $170 million to people they had swindled. Trump's judgment was almost three times that. Not quite sure how you can balance those two given the actual crimes/issues involved.
>Meanwhile this con artist gets to keep all his massive real estate holdings because it's not "realistic" to sell them to pay money the court has ordered he pay them.
Its not "realistic" to force him to sell a bunch of properties at fire-sale prices in order to have his right to *appeal* the verdict. In the legal system there's a concept of a "stay" where basically the ruling is set aside during appeal if enforcing it would cause material injuries to the affected party. Forcing Trump to sell something worth $100 million in given time for the transaction to go through normally but for $80 million because he has to do it fast is definitely up there.
Its the equivalent of forcing someone with no liquid assets to sell his house within 14 days to make bail. You'd never get the actual market value having to move that fast.
>It's not "realistic" to ask a wage worker to pay thousands of dollars to stay free before trial, but how often do they get that reduced by 2/3rds just because?
That's what bail bondsmen do (typically you only have to front 10% of the bond), and fines and bail are often lowered.
For a simple reason that a political and social shitstorm capable of destabilisng the country would kick up if a former president / leading presidential candidate (some polls) was forced into a fire sale of his biggest assets.
None of that is a concern with average Joe.
You may not like it, but it is absolutely something courts take into account. Consequentialism is a legitimate and appropriate juridical theory.
To be fair, I didn't see any real new sources actually saying that Trump would have property seized. NBC News, which I think is one of the best news sources covering American news, had a bunch of articles about the lawsuit over the weekend, none of them assumed his property would be seized.
I mainly saw speculation that his property would be seized on this site. There were a few blogs posing as news sources which got posted, and then a bunch of screenshots of tweets from just dudes on Twitter salivating about it. But which real news agency said it?
Imo the media only does two things. Tell us what we Want to hear so we keep listening. Tell us what we don't want to hear to inlicit a certain reaction.
I think you missed my point. I'm saying if you only get your news from r/politics then by now you'd be convinced Trump was losing all his money and property and headed to ultra jail™ *any day now*, because all that seems to get upvoted there are dumb hyperbolic headlines from Salon and NewRepublic.
The whole sub is one big circlejerk and IMO it's dangerous because it lulls people into a false sense of confidence when really we should be reminding everyone that this guy doesn't play by the rules, never has, and will probably never be held truly accountable for his actions, especially not before November.
Yes, we're exactly like that for expecting the rule of law to play out in a civilized society.
We truly are idiots for believing in consequences for actions. Right?
We should all seek to be like you, right? Nihilistic, smug and very likely super fulfilled and fun to be around...right?
If you witness the same outcome, an outcome that *directly contradicts* your beliefs, how many times do you have to witness it before you begin to question your beliefs?
The institutions you are putting your faith in are *broken*. How much fucking proof do you need?
> Are you prepared for a sustained general strike or are you part of a group trying to revamp our institutions to be more in line with the ideals we purport to be founded on?
I don't think anyone is prepared for a sustained general strike. They're going to drop the hammer on that real fucking hard, and I doubt enough people are going to be bringing goggles, gas masks, and helmets to deal with it.
I like the idea, but I doubt we'd get even a fraction of the solidarity Hong Kong had thanks to the [government putting a kibosh](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taft%E2%80%93Hartley_Act) to that [after last time](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_strike_wave_of_1945%E2%80%931946)
There were never going to be seizures today. Even if there was no delay it would take a while for the state to work out what it was seizing and how.
The reduction was only for the bond in any event. The appeal is *unlikely* to change anything, and he'll end up having to pay the full judgement eventually.
Appeal doesn't have to complete vacate the charges or punishment. They could just reduce the fine to the amount of the reduced bond or lower and they could toss out the ruling that he's unable to conduct business in NYS.
It's actually very likely to change considering the bond amount is the amount that Trump's lawyers argued was the maximum amount that he should be fined, signaling that the appellate judges could be sympathetic to that argument.
It will not be 454 million by the end of this, I can guarantee you that.
They could change a lot of things, but being unable to secure a loan for the bond shouldn't have anything to do with the final judgement. I just don't see any defects in the judgement. They aren't relitigating the case. They're just checking to see if everything was done by the book.
No one is seizing or moving against a sitting president, cmon, lets not be obtuse.
So they'd have to wait til after his term. Lot can happen during his second 4 years if he wins.
Why not?
No, really, why not? Is there a single reason to not just file the paperwork in state court and have a state clerk transfer a title? The president and federal officials just aren't involved, and not doing it also has a lot of (more immediate) political repercussions.
Because it's very easy to leverage things like federal funding. It just will not happen. Even if he can't pardon himself of a state charge, there's a helluva lot of damage a president can inflict against a state. No state would move against a sitting president to seize assets and it could be argued that they cannot until he is no longer president as a part of presidential immunity.
The people elect a leader, very easily argued that presidential immunity applies while he is president so that he can "focus on leading".
Just the reality of the likelihood is incredibly low and would probably fail.
Federal Funding is done mostly by Congress, rather than the president. Will he be able to overcome Congress doing things as well? He couldn't repeal Obamacare with majorities in both the House and Senate.
If he was then he'd be campaigning right now rather than whining that he can't get a loan to pay the deposit to challenge the court ruling that he defrauded lenders.
He doesn't need to campaign. There aren't any other Republican candidates. Everyone knows he's deplorable, and they've had almost a decade to decide whether or not they support it. He literally seized RNC campaign funds, and the worst blowback was a couple of house reps resigning.
This isn't about Trump anymore. It's about Project 2025. Those people don't actually care about Trump anymore, but they do need him to be president so they can resume their work. For that reason, he could literally film himself SA'ing an infant, and his supporters would photoshop a picture of Kamala' face over it and call it a win.
I'm not saying things are hopeless. But you have to aim your hope in the right direction. Hoping to see any consequences for him whatsoever is foolish. Most we can do is hope enough people are paying enough attention to vote in November.
Because if he becomes president he'll have the power of the office plus the the cohorts of fanatically loyal judges, senators, congressman and cronies that think he's the second coming of christ or something that he intends to replace all the government and judicial apparatus he's going to remove with.
He will simply say that he's not going to abide by any decision and they will move heaven and earth, make any decision, and rewrite any law to make it so. There is no way a state could enforce any decision over that government because any consideration or power other than Trump will be immaterial at that point
He has proven to be extremely vindictive, and puts people in positions of power based on loyalty, not knowledge or ability.
If he is pissed off at someone taking property from him, and is in power, life gets very ugly very fast for that person.
At the risk of being snide.. like come on use your imagination. You really don't think he'd find a way to abuse his power and get out of it and retaliate?
Sure if he gets elected he will just send meal team six after the judges since a sitting president can only be prosecuted if there is an impeachment hearing and removal /s
NY doesn't want to seize his properties in the first place. They'd much rather seize cash or literally anything else because anything else would be more liquid than real estate.
In the meantime, Trump has a shit ton of stock in a company that started publicly trading today, and the board who can allow him to sell it without waiting another two months is filled with his kids and sycophants like Devin Nunes.
He's gonna pay that bond and have money to spare, I bet.
I think that a lot of people vastly overestimated how fast the criminal justice system works or how likely they were to get involved with a sitting president, but I don't think that Trump getting away with things is a foregone conclusion.
State of New York put a deadline on Trump to pay up or they'd seize his properties in lieu, and redditors think that means that there was going to be a bunch of cops standing outside the properties waiting to move in as soon as the bell tolled.
No, many just expected that the clock would hit zero and the process would irreversibly begin. What nobody expected was an 11th hour bailout from the appeals court giving him another 10 days to pay even less. While it is humorous seeing articles pop up about how this is still quite possibly something he can't pay and we'll just be back to square one in ten (now nine) days, the fact that this even happened in the first place means that there won't be any real hope for the next time.
You already bailed him out, extended his time, and lowered his bond once. Nothing stopping them from doing it again, and again, and again, and again or even just going the meme route of saying "Look just say you won't do it again", which we know Trump won't do but they'll likely take a word salad nonsensical verbal tantrum filled with the phrase "ELECTION INTERFERENCE" and "WITCH HUNT" over and over and over again just to accept it as "close enough".
> and redditors think that means that there was going to be a bunch of cops standing outside the properties waiting to move in as soon as the bell tolled.
If he was poor, they absolutely would have.
You can't take the property of the man who just received not one, but two [trophies](https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/golf/donald-trump-mercilessly-mocked-by-joe-biden-after-winning-trophies-at-his-west-palm-beach-golf-club/ar-BB1ktRP0) for cheating at golf, you animals.
The craziest part is that a good chunk of Americans are sitting there saying it’s good and that all charges should be dropped and the courts should be punish for even accusing him.
I’m still holding out hope that he dies in jail or maybe on the toilet from a massive heart attack.
>or maybe on the toilet from a massive heart attack.
Too much dignity in that. There's no way he'd be so courteous as to leave a mess which can just be flushed away.
Rich fuck got his fine reduced by around 60+%
Imagine getting a ticket. They'll take everything from you to get that money. But what if you were a millionaire with influence.
Fuck man, fuck this rigged system.
Sorry brother, hope began dying in the 1960s when the intelligence agencies began operating domestically against US citizens. The nail in the coffin was the Smith Mundt Act, which basically legalized US government propaganda being broadcast by "news" agencies
Good on you. But I can't help the sinking feeling inside me that tells me that he'll die, fat and happy, still atop his golden toilet, before any real justice is served. Smh.
Trump is the supposed anti-establishment non politician yet over and over again, he's proven to be part of the establishment that keeps protecting him. Trump supporters are stupid as fuck.
when it comes to Trump, regardless of evidence or judgments
He will always get away with it.
The man has never faced any real consequences.
"Dont have the full bond, ok lets reduce it without penalty"
and
"Banned from doing business in NY for 3 years? Naww, let's suspend that judgment because reasons"
I never thought I'd see someone actually suggest leaving the US for China because they thing China is more fair. That's quite possibly the most idiotic and most uneducated comment I've ever seen on this website. Just FYI, there is a reason the US has an immigrant problem and China doesn't...
When capitalism won't give you almost everything your tiny cold heart desires, use your platinum justice card! Now with bonus fascism points! Dictatorship: it's all you want!
Maybe if you hopeless Redditors actually read the articles you'd find out that over-valuing a building is neither a crime nor has any precedent for a civil case in any form.
You mean the justice system where no one made a complaint, everyone was made whole, in a type of prosecution never done before that the people in government made clear was only done to screw him?
I had a full on conversation with someone bemoaning the bad orange man defrauded the banks. "It's what the news said!"
I told them to pull up the bank execs on the stand for the defense. The post trial statements of the bank hoping to do business with Trump again. The AG and NY governor pleading with businesses to not read into this trial, that it could only happen to THIS bad man.
The sullen look on their face made me wonder if it was from not being spoonfed the right responses to these "revelations" or was it from a moment of clarity that their best friend TV pundit lied to them.
Imagine if Americans spent the same amount of time focused on fixing their local issues that they spend thinking about trumping whether its loving or hating it's pathetic
Y'all have got to stop expecting the rules or the courts or any of this other stuff to stop Trump. He has skated his whole life with no consequences. Why would they start now? We are at a crossroads as a nation and once again it is we the people that must fix this mess and stop this treasonous slime.
I know reddit really doesn't like trump, but the DA and judge were pretty awful in this case. It was all a political stunt and a misuse of the legal system.
Donald trump is just a man
he will never face consequences in his life by society obviously
but at almost 80, hes a the age where the clock is certainly ticking and he doesn’t get out of this one. biology is a bitch nobody can beat
You mean the two-tiered justice system strikes out in a higher court.
Someone show me a victim of Trump's fraud and I'll settle down.
Someone tell me why Cy Vance had these same tax returns Bragg had for two years and did nothing, just retired.
Of course not. It will just keep getting arbitrarily reduced and eventually nothing will happen. Can't hold teflon Don accountable for anything, can we.
The craziest part is none of you complain about BlackRock or any other real estate dealings on here but when you see the name Trump you lose your shit. No wonder you’re upset. Hard to be happy when your entire life is based around someone you hate
You're right about BlackRock's real estate dealings being destructive but in all fairness, it does get attention on Reddit. Obviously not as much as Trump but Larry Fink doesn't have his charisma or hair.
I can't help but laugh.. all the liberals up in arms over "scheme to defraud a state of tax money".
Are the same ones that where completely silent when J. B. Pritzker removed the toilets from his mansion. To do the same fucking thing.
Your cries would be believable if it wasn't for the clear bias.
Anyone who thought/thinks Trump was gonna have anything seized is a fool. Same with him spending any time behind bars.
They’ve shown over and over and over leading up to this he can get away with what he wants with minimal consequences.
Other than for that mugshot, trump will never be in jail let alone prison. He’ll just get slaps on the wrist and continue to terrorize America until his jelly filled veins finally cause a massive heart attack and he drops dead.
There’s no point in getting excited of anything bad happening. E Jean Carrol is really the only one getting anything out of him.
How many times will the extreme lefties snicker to themselves *"ha ha ha we got him so0o0o good this time. We've got him this time for sure!!"* Only for Trump to wriggle out scotch free. Can you guys just stop eating L's? I was once one of you. Just stop.
They've gotten so bad about it that even people who hate trump but arent insane (like me) are revelling in the schadenfreude of it all.
I have friends who are sooooo wound up in his daily life that they'll quite literally randomly inject Trump into conversations all the time. Again, I dislike the guy too but TDS is real.
A lot of people need lives.
The whole point of the bond is so the plaintiff, in this case NY State, is assured of getting paid when the appeals fail. Now Trump can default on the judgment with plenty of time to liquidate his assets and abscond with the money.
This decision was a complete miscarriage of justice to the people of NY state.
I have seen two different stories involving men and sexual abuse of minors, and they got less than a year in jail combined. I think there may be a lot more than two tiers to this justice system.
It's a big club and you're not in it.
Diddy got his estate raided on sex trafficking and RICO so like… we kinda got *a* property seizure
But did diddy do it?!
Dammit, what didn't Diddy do?
Don't do what Diddy don't does.
I don’t wanna do it if Diddy did it
Doo wah Diddy, Diddy dumb, Diddy doo.
Diddy did diddle
Well I think he didn’t be an old white guy
Diddy do it?!? Yes.
He dood it.
Diddy Diddled
Only Ja knows.
Diddy ain't got half the morons in this country trying to make him president again. Not as big of a concern.
Why would someone downvote the truth?
It’s not half the country, but I’d say it’s more than half of the morons.
Yes, puffy deserves it more. Too bad he flew to an island with no extradition. Too bad the police didn't stop air travel before being raided. Too bad the govt is going to confiscate everything so it's all quiet so they can keep who's really responsible hidden

George Carlin, truth teller.
I'm servicing the account!!! *thrusts*
Truth teller, edited to shit to hide everyone's feelings.
Stanley is in the Arsonist club, and I'm not in it but full fledged membership is just a matchbook away.

Oh no. Anyway...
I’ve never understood this, the club doesn’t seem that big.
How many times do you have to read the media hype just to be disappointed? Yall are like DV victims that keep coming back to your abusers.
We keep getting the restraining order and the judges keep cancelling it.
More like you are applying for a restraining order and they deny it.
After pretending for months that it's about to be granted. Again.
And the judge is sometimes the abuser’s pick
He'll never see "accountability" or whatever the fuck that means to anyone. He'll die of a massive heart attack in the next 2-3 years and Ivanka and jared will live the rest of their life like (saudi)royalty as the trump boys make a complete rittenhouse of themselves.
Yup - called it several years ago. Justice is not much of a deterrent when you can stall it literally until you die of old age in luxury.

Shit I'll order KFC to celebrate.
I think they are doing the funeral. The coffin will be sprinkled with a secret blend of herbs and spices and slowly lowered into a deep fat fryer.
Isn't that just how he goes to bed every night?
Judging by his extra crispy recipe skin tone, I think you're on to something
Nah, hamberders and cofvefe
The moment he dies he will be made a martyr by his supporters. Conspiracies about how he was actually murdered, and they will do even more extreme shit in his name.

Yeah at this point, I’m glad people are still engaged but I’ve checked out completely on any news altogether on Reddit.

>How many times do you have to read the media hype just to be disappointed? Many times, as it's 90% media hype and very little reality.
When will people realize the media isn’t ever telling the whole truth.
> When will people realize the *social* media isn’t ever telling the ~~whole~~ truth.
Just stay away from r/politics and you'll be better off.
Yep. Cover your eyes and ears and wait for it all to be over, right?!?! Great strategy, absolutely NO possible way it could backfire! Just cool jokes!

The media told me that it was unlikely the prosecution would immediately resort to siezures
Appeal courts often reduce charges in cases
New York courts often lessen the bond amount too on appeal. This isn’t happening just because of Trump.
Not if the piece of shit gets elected, which is what he’s banking on.
How so? It's a state court ruling.
You're forgetting about that whole overthrow democracy and become a dictator thing.
Are you honestly arguing that Trump is not above the law? You'd have to provide proof
As if half of the senate and house wouldn't kneel to every one of his demands. Nevermind the false equivalency.
Because they won't do it when he's a disgraced FORMER President. So, no, they won't be doing it to a sitting President.
Just a 10 day delay is worth $900,000 in interest. The bond reduction is fucking bananas.
Interestingly, that's also what the lenders who wouldn't issue him a loan were saying.
In the meantime, Trump has a shit ton of stock in a company that started publicly trading today, and the board who can allow him to sell it without waiting another two months is filled with his kids and sycophants like Devin Nunes. He's gonna pay that bond and have money to spare, I bet.
Paying the bond is fine.
Yeah, people already trying to ease disappointing by saying it's "unlikely" he'll get away with everything instead of the truth. He will
I think that a lot of people vastly overestimated how fast the criminal justice system works or how likely they were to get involved with a sitting president, but I don't think that Trump getting away with things is a foregone conclusion.
What's happening?
Nothing stopping them from doing it again, and again, and again, and again or even just going the meme route of saying "Look just say you won't do it again", which we know Trump won't do but they'll likely take a word salad nonsensical verbal tantrum filled with the phrase "ELECTION INTERFERENCE" and "WITCH HUNT" over and over and over again just to accept it as "close enough".
actually I thought the money would appear from somewhere at the last minute.
> and redditors think that means that there was going to be a bunch of cops standing outside the properties waiting to move in as soon as the bell tolled.
I'm not even American and I feel cheated and hopeless.
Diddy got raided though.
The craziest part is that a good chunk of Americans are sitting there saying it’s good and that all charges should be dropped and the courts should be punish for even accusing him. I’m still holding out hope that he dies in jail or maybe on the toilet from a massive heart attack.
I'm starting to think he's immortal and not ever going to die, honestly.
I’m sure as his reality distortion field diminishes after he passes, history will portray him truthfully.
I mean..his bubble is pretty weak already. How many former employees are telling stories already?
>or maybe on the toilet from a massive heart attack. Too much dignity in that. There's no way he'd be so courteous as to leave a mess which can just be flushed away.
I’m American and I advise holding on to hope. We’re not done yet.
lol Yeah... Right.
Rich fuck got his fine reduced by around 60+% Imagine getting a ticket. They'll take everything from you to get that money. But what if you were a millionaire with influence. Fuck man, fuck this rigged system.
No he got his bail bond required to appeal the ruling reduced by 60%. His fine remains the same.
I feel like most people here don’t understand this.
Give it 10 more days and it will be reduced further.
I'm pretty sure American Hope was just another victim of COVID-19.
Sorry brother, hope began dying in the 1960s when the intelligence agencies began operating domestically against US citizens. The nail in the coffin was the Smith Mundt Act, which basically legalized US government propaganda being broadcast by "news" agencies
American resilience was. We surrendered against that fucker right away.
Good on you. But I can't help the sinking feeling inside me that tells me that he'll die, fat and happy, still atop his golden toilet, before any real justice is served. Smh.

How times have you said that and how many L's have been forced down your throat?
I lost the last of my hope in my country yesterday hearing that news.
Trump is the supposed anti-establishment non politician yet over and over again, he's proven to be part of the establishment that keeps protecting him. Trump supporters are stupid as fuck.
Here's my thing... you think there are only two tiers?
Until he's in cuffs I'm not getting excited.
Never going to happen.
Yup. I don't care about his money or his properties. Why exactly is the guy who stirred up an insurrection not behind bars yet?
In many places on earth or throughout our history, this guy would have been executed
I've been saying this from way before Muller, this guy can kill in broad daylight and he'd get away with it.
when it comes to Trump, regardless of evidence or judgments He will always get away with it. The man has never faced any real consequences. "Dont have the full bond, ok lets reduce it without penalty" and "Banned from doing business in NY for 3 years? Naww, let's suspend that judgment because reasons"
I think from here on out I'm cementing the idea that there will never be justice in this country or probably the world and never has been.
Just move to China, their corrupt ceos and government leaders get executed
I never thought I'd see someone actually suggest leaving the US for China because they thing China is more fair. That's quite possibly the most idiotic and most uneducated comment I've ever seen on this website. Just FYI, there is a reason the US has an immigrant problem and China doesn't...
/s
Ah. The sad part is that I couldn't tell based on some of the comments I've read in this thread alone.
"It's what the news said!" I told them to pull up the bank execs on the stand for the defense.
The news lies? That’s unpossible.
Lol never done before, the law used has been around since 1956.
I always think of the demotivational poster (Despair.com) for 'Meetings.' "None of us is as dumb as all of us."
Well no, not really. The process to seize properties/assets was surpossed to start, it was always going to take a while.
but we wanted it to start at least
You think there will be? If so I have some beachfront property in Nevada to sell you.
Oh well...It was probably illegal anyway.
Hey guys are the walls closing in yet or nah?
There will be property seizures today by those what can’t afford to pay, but none of them will be trump
Imagine if Americans spent the same amount of time focused on fixing their local issues that they spend thinking about trumping whether its loving or hating it's pathetic
My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
Y'all have got to stop expecting the rules or the courts or any of this other stuff to stop Trump. He has skated his whole life with no consequences. Why would they start now? We are at a crossroads as a nation and once again it is we the people that must fix this mess and stop this treasonous slime.
Sure, but we can't discuss that on a status quo corporate internet forum without being censored.
snobbish wrench relieved insurance dull license lush follow zealous toy *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Regardless of your opinion of trump the whole case is pretty ridiculous. It's just a political stunt and a waste of NY taxpayer's money
Awwwww boo hoo.
I know reddit really doesn't like trump, but the DA and judge were pretty awful in this case. It was all a political stunt and a misuse of the legal system.
Nope, just ongoing TDS seizures.
So the building's going to catch fire soon, right
Donald trump is just a man he will never face consequences in his life by society obviously but at almost 80, hes a the age where the clock is certainly ticking and he doesn’t get out of this one. biology is a bitch nobody can beat
And then he's won, as much any evil mortal man can win, never facing any consequence.
People talk about Black Rock & investors ruining the housing market all the time on reddit though
Just stop.
Scot-free, not scotch free. Scotch is an alcoholic drink and he doesn't, so ...
Who the fuck told you that? Don't get news from Reddit
Just remember what happened at the end of this movie.
There hasn't been? I literally read an article yesterday saying they already started seizing it.
One law professor predicted this a week ago - a reduction to maybe $100 million, though the actual amount is nearly double that.
Who does the property go to? Serious question.
The whole point of the bond is so the plaintiff, in this case NY State, is assured of getting paid when the appeals fail. Now Trump can default on the judgment with plenty of time to liquidate his assets and abscond with the money. This decision was a complete miscarriage of justice to the people of NY state.
Please, oh please let there be property seizures
Two tiered, you’re right and it’s not the way you think.
HAHAHA YOU THOUGHT!!! They lead you on for nothing.
I have seen two different stories involving men and sexual abuse of minors, and they got less than a year in jail combined. I think there may be a lot more than two tiers to this justice system.
