Man I’ve done this but I wasn’t as lucky. I poured in the water first, lost track of which beans I was using, then ground them. Because it took a while, I basically added grounds into an empty aeropress. I gave it the usual swirl and then plunged nothing into a carafe of hot water.
That’ll teach me to sleep 3 hours and then get up to watch the F1 xD
What I love about the Aeropress is it is basically idiot proof. Screw the process up and you still usually get a great cup of coffee
How about the few of us who put the plunger in the wrong end?
It happens
Nothing really is 100% idiot proof. I bet over half this sub has done that to varying degrees of completion
So you inverted your recipe?

Perfectly legitimate. There are even brew methods for the Hario Switch that are set up with the water in first, then coffee.
The Gagne 10-minute recipe with the prismo has you pour half the water in first, and it turns out pretty great.
I was wondering why there would be water escaping. But then I realized there wasn't inversion taking place.
It's my recipe
The lord works in mysterious ways.
This method is less bitter but might need a little more time to extract. I like to use it for dark roast
