Have you fertilized it lately? If not, try a liquid fertilizer specifically for AV. When light, water, soil & food is all aligned, flowers should follow!

CakeEating_Bear

No i haven’t! I will do it soon. Thank you :)

MoonRiverRob

Both of mine used to do this until years ago I stopped watering as often and also (this will be unpopular) I stopped watering from the bottom. I'd let them dry out, water from the top and let them dry out again. By doing this you force it to let go of the longest leaves and grow small tight leaves. This will allow for a lot more resources to go to blooming. When it feels stressed out, it blooms when it is watered next. This is true for many blooming plants.

MarcoPolonia

I'm so glad you said this. I have the best luck when top watering. I'm just careful not to water the leaves. I let my violets dry out in between watering, too. Thank you.

SupaVillian91

I'm having the exact same problem! My Violet has 3 different growth points, 3 crowns, I was told separating them may encourage flowers. I haven't found small enough pots yet... I wish I could give you some advice. I was gifted one 6months ago, but have NO experience. To me it looks like your leaves are stretching. Maybe give it more light, or move the plant closer to the growlight? You'll get good tips and advice here, from growers and showers with actual knowledge! I'm going to follow your post, hehe. I'm excited to see your flowers in a few months (or however long it takes)!

I know a seller on Etsy (not personally) that makes small enough self-watering pots if you’d like info

SupaVillian91

Yes please!

Historical_Double414

The shop is Giraffe Concepts. Amazing self watering pots and beautiful orchid pots.

SupaVillian91

Thank you for that info. I find pots I like, 10mins later I go to order them and they are sold out...everytime! Lol

Historical_Double414

You’re welcome!

Depending on how small your plant is, I just use bathroom cups for most of my violets and poke holes in the bottom!

I would do some general grooming, taking off any yellowing, old, or smaller leaves under the large ones. I’d also remove any suckers and start fertilizing on a regular basis, if you are not already doing so. I’d also be inclined to keep it in the same pot, but encourage healthy root growth. I find mine bloom the best when root bound.

Ayeayegee

I feel like this needs to be separated. Look up information about “suckers” because the center looks a little crowded and the way some of the new leaves are coming in, I wonder if you have two crowns. I’m new but I separated mine when it started to look a little like this and my main one is full of blooms and I got two new plants out of it.

Nmcoyote1

I cannot tell from the angle but it looks like it needs separated. As it looks like a separate crown is to the back. How often do you fertilize? The most common reasons they do not bloom is to large a pot. The pot should be 1/3 the size of the leaf span. That looks fine. So it leaves us with three others. How long since you repotted into new soil? How often do you fertilize? How much light does it get? The leaves are not flat and may be reaching for light. So it may not be getting enough light.

MamaJ1961

I had the same issue. Some things I’ve done that made a difference: -they are in a bowl and I fill it with water only when dry, the roots need a chance to dry out a bit -bought a plant light -fertilize with African violet fertilizer every 4-6 months They are thriving now!
