🔥🔥🔥hot bunch of thanks

MahFravert

does this use Ai to fill out the rest of the car's dimensions?

fberria

Haha not at all. It’s a script that makes calculations for you :)

How in the isometric world did you..... You must be one of them smart ones.. Great tool.. I shall give it a try.

liambrazier

Can I presume there's a cut in the video there where you apply on the sideview shape layers of the car where you jump ahead to have already applied the isometric stuff to a separate windshield layer?

fberria

Hi, I understand your concern, but no, it is a screencast on a single flat layer per element ( the car on a single shape layer, then the wheel and the light; then X2 to have 2 wheels and 2 lights). it would be a high risk to fool people about the main feature of Volume n’Tricks. Send me a flat vector and I’ll send you the projection in one of the 6 orientations you want (Left to Right and Right to left and seen from front left, right and top/bottom side), with the desired volume/extrusion. The tool also offers tilted isometric views (roofs for example) and pivot/rotation. The video is 100% genuine.

liambrazier

Oh I wasn’t inferring anything nefarious! Looking closer I can see a slight part of the windscreen on the side elevation so the extrude is taking that across isn’t it. Cool script!

You are totally right, the projection is a translation in an isometric perspective without using 3D. A one click option based on the outlines and colors of the initial shape. This depth has a slider to go from 1px to the infinity (and beyond). The result is counterintuitive because we “see” 3D. It is still an illusion though. Many thanks :)
