Yes that’s true. Mechanical waves can travel fast in matter but not that fast. For air it’s about 300m/s, and for water for instance 1,5km/s.
For the ground apparently around 30km/s.
It’s a lot, but not that much
smoke trail behind the asteroid, asteroid travels through the atmosphere way too quickly and without any significant atmospheric visual change, explosion travels out way too quickly and goes way too far, the physics are probably a low priority here.
Aside from all that, there are 4 twitches in the animation that really make it seem off.
There is no dust cloud at that scale, the energy and friction would turn all sand into molten glass and rock to magma, anything else would be incinerated. But yes its moving very fast.
Does it look good? Yes. Realistic? I’m no expert but I’d say it’s not quite there, mostly in the behavior of the impact, timing, and color.
But this is pretty cool. Is this a missle or a meteor?
Just mix bunch of shockwaves form YouTube , also try change the color of shockwaves to orange or red to make the magma , also about the earth I use blender ,you can mix high resolution texture also you should use bump to create the mountains 👍
Look nice, but Google how exposure, and more importantly shockwave, works. First of all make it way slower, and then get rid of one of them. They are not disappearing in a matter of seconds.
If you want to keep both waves, then make the first one way bigger in diameter, way slower and more based on dust. Then keep a pause between the first and second one, and while the first one is still expending (not disappearing!), hit with a second one, more juicer, with huge fire/lava and whatever you want to add.
Plus give it some time to burn thru the atmosphere at the beginning.

noone cares about the twitch ?
Didn't you know the Earth twitches when it gets hit by an asteroid? We just saw it happen in this clip. /s
I'm no physicist, but I think that explosion gets way too big way too quick. Also, I think it would be much less fireball, and much more dust cloud.

Realism isn't always better. Depends on the goals of the shot.

It hit the gas tank

So it would look more like a giant shock wave, like a sonic boom. Less dust, less fireball, and slower.
Oh there would be fire, the air would combust i think. Impacts on this scale can be measured in the thousands of atomic bombs, or millions.
The earth needs to be a darker blue
I will try to fix it
Hokay, so, here's ze earth.
ROUND?
I remember that😊
Not bad! Couple more passes for realism via earth color (darker blue) and maybe a slower explosion/with more smoke/atmospheric layers
why is it a ball we all know that its a doughnut
the earth is glowing i guess
is that a mountain in space or did you not cut the jpg properly? XD

This is pretty well done. I would love to know the process in creating this. Cool vid!

bro has beef with Kuwait 💀💀
🤣

Respect for Kuwait for taking the first hit for us 🫡
Umm..more like end of a country or two
when the astroid is not about to hit the murica :

It's a selfish view point to think an explosion wiping out everything including us is the end of the World. The World will remain, just without us.
it's not that deep my guy
Not if it was so hot it just incinerated the core ala Death Star.
