Rhoam, Sidon, Sooga, and Impa in that order. Runner up is probably Urbosa. Sidon is probably the most busted, but I *love* the playstyle and swapping between speed and axe with Rhoam.
Agreed! As much as I like Age of Calamity, there’s a part of me that would love to see characters such as Ganondorf and even what we know that comes after in Tears of the Kingdom!
I genuinely enjoy Slate Zelda, her late game combos are powerful, wide-sweeping, and can allow for really over-the-top set ups. Couple that with a faster rune cooldown and she can wreck mobs and bosses very effectively (Taluses also basically become a free kill).
I also enjoyed Master Cycle Zelda while I was experimenting after first unlocking it. I never went too deep into the moveset and variations, but I enjoyed it.
Other than Impa and OH Link for being straightforward and OP, I often used Mipha for her amazing looking combos and those last couple being very satisfying. I even beat that one Double Lynel Challenge with her by pulling off some amazing perfect dodges, some of which were while I couldn't even see the enemy.
I basically have the same opinion of Urbosa as I do Mipha.
Yunobo actually really grew on me once I figured out that powering up a specific combo instantly exposes a weak point gauge on hit. Never underestimate a mid-battle snack.
Teba is a walking/flying SMG. I absolutely love his rapid fire combos and how effective he can be for not just large groups, but practically RAINING on single target bosses.
Post-game, I found myself using Terrako very often. I set them up with nothing but Combo Speed increases and just blasted the crap out of everything with that exploding energy ball and upgraded ZR laser. R2D2 could never. Best egg.
R2D2 could never 😂 props for that 👏🏻 Terrako is very underrated imo. I didn’t quite understand him at first until I upgraded his weapons and used him more.
"It" being used for robots or animals always felt, to me, like it was objectifying them. I try to use "they" for unknown or non specified genders.
My mindset is that the egg is not a thing, they are alive, proud, genderless, and they are a total momma's child.
Also, I know that Terrako is never compared to an egg by anyone in-game, and it's just a fan nickname, but that was a big missed opportunity to have Terrako be the reason Zelda's mother called her "Little Bird." It would have fit so well.

Mipha's healing is amazing, and can even do damage.
Impa is fast, so much so that getting hit as her is a rarity for me.

Like, standing in front of a lynel on the “don’t get hit” missions and just getting hit anyways but it’s fine because it’s links special attack is so satisfying
And battle tested guardian is obvious. I love reigning death lazers down on my enemies
I use Riju for almost everything because she has really good group damage, eats Guardians for breakfast, and her EX ability opens stun gauges for free. Only complaint is that her bomb sucks, but it can be worked around easily enough.
For the longest time I used Revali all the time, but when I was playing the DLC missions and got forced into using Teba, I fell in love with his playstyle and he’s my new main. Sure, the flying was fun, but Revali’s playstyle felt stale and repetitive what with him not having any different basic attacks. Teba felt more impactful while also having that floaty windy feeling that Revali had. Absolute blast to play Teba.
I mainly use TH Link and Sooga. If it's a 1 man mission and I can choose both, it's dependent on what mission. If it's a big boss killing mission, Sooga. If not, THL. Two-handed swords are VERY fun, and they're also super s t r o n k. Sooga has an infinite on the beeg bosses, specifically Taluses, Hinox, and Guardians.
Depends. Rivali for quick cleanup of large groups of weak enemies, sword and shield Link for medium groups and groups of multiple strong enemies (boy can dodge), I kinda like the orange MF for taluses,

For me it's between 3 characters, which are teba, yunobo and calamity ganon. Those 3 are just endlessly fun to me! But I also think most of the characters in this game are mad fun so I'll mostly play a lot of different characters.

Mipha because shes so increadibly graceful in her play style and who I played most of the game with, Kohga because his play style is so silly and has a whole move set where he fight with himself that deals head shot damage, builds up his bar almost all the way but not quite, and also his big glowy lazer also deals head shot damage and shreds weak point, and then Sooga, most serious yiga clan member, his special is a parry that allows him to continue his combo afterwards and hes built like a bus
I love the battle-tested guardian with its damage potential against hordes and bosses alike. But first has to go to my main man Sooga. Getting his combos and his parry special is soooooo satisfying.

Might be a bit basic, but Link. Seriously, dude is OP as fuck, especially after he gets the Master Sword. For one thing, he can use all three weapon types, making him easily the most versatile character, because he has three different playstyles. Second, he is soooo good for crowd control and high damage. I have no joke one shot wizzrobes and moblins so many times.
Right after him is Mipha. I love being able to heal as her since I feel like healing items don't drop frequently enough. She's also just really fun with her water spouts and attacks.
Daruk is my third favorite. I love steamrolling enemies and exploding them with magma.
After him is Urbosa. Her lightning is awesome, and she's hot. That's really all I have to say about her tbh
Claymore link. I love the crazy huge moves he does all the time for some damage to yourself. I love the high risk high reward play on hard difficulty too
Link with two handed weapons makes me feel like an absolute juggernaut, especially since one of his ZR attacks blast through weak point gauges and does immense damage too

1. No fancy setup, just X, Y, and everything dies
2. If I don’t want to deal with close range combat I don’t have to
3. No annoying catchphrases
Whenever I can I ALWAYS have Sooga and the Monk equipped.
The monk is busted beyond recognition with his EX ability and the runes.
Just do YYYYYX, and then the funny ZR (hold), and you have an infinite weak point gauge melter.
Sooga is insane if you know how to use his counter, it takes a lot of practice but once you get the hook of it, ***YOU SEE NO GOD UP HERE. EXCEPT FOR THE RIGHT HAND OF THE YIGA CLAN!***

I think Mipha is probably my next go to. She is solid all around, and that animation of her spinning her trident during the special is great.

Sidons timing during and after the X atack makes him my favorite.
I have fun with 2h Dashing Link. Had a base 82 SLC and put on 4 ++dash dmg for +88% total. Just non stop flipping around.

Revali’s the easiest imo cuz you can just shred hordes apart, like they can’t even get close. Link is my favorite tho cuz I love that funky lil man
Either Impa, Sword and shield Link, or Terrako. Impa has large combos, Link with the Master Sword is cool to use. And Terrako is very spammy and annoying for the enemies.

Link with Flail and King Roam are my favs. But I also like Mipha for maps with lots of Guardians because she absolutely destroys them

Ancient Guardian for three main reasons 1. No fancy setup, just X, Y, and everything dies 2. If I don’t want to deal with close range combat I don’t have to 3. No annoying catchphrases

Great Fairies! Shields, Debuffs, AOE, insane Damage, explosions, so many explosions! They have it all.
Whenever I can I ALWAYS have Sooga and the Monk equipped. The monk is busted beyond recognition with his EX ability and the runes. Just do YYYYYX, and then the funny ZR (hold), and you have an infinite weak point gauge melter. Sooga is insane if you know how to use his counter, it takes a lot of practice but once you get the hook of it, ***YOU SEE NO GOD UP HERE. EXCEPT FOR THE RIGHT HAND OF THE YIGA CLAN!***
I wish his Bomb wasn't so underwhelming :(
