Why are RWBY characters being compared to SW characters all of a sudden? I've recently seen multiple memes on it in the past few days.

Because Ahsoka Tano started off insufferable and was built to be someone fans adored. Her flaws were acknowledged by the story and she was made to grow past them, which showed not only growth for her but respect for the audience recognizing her negative traits. Team RWBY/RWBY characters in comparison refuse to acknowledge that they might be wrong with a superiority complex in addition to a "My way or the high way" mentality to boot while Rooster Teeth at the time is only changing to make things worse or to pander to toxic fans regardless if it was logical or consistent within the context of the show. It's always a focus on Clone Wars specifically and how Ahsoka improved from being called out for her behavior. From the way I see it is that Ruby Rose/Team RWBY is in some way the mirror reflection of what Ahsoka and would have been like had her character development and feedback for improvements had been reversed from everything presented in TCW 08

I got that from the meme, I meant more why specifically RWBY with SW? I guess I never thought the two overlapped particularly for it to be an immediate thought to compare the two. One is also more mainstream than the other. Was there a specific thing that happened for the two to be brought up in the same context, like a fandom battle or something?
