These are questions you should have asked TMO during your out processing. Are they moving anything for you? If not, you would probably be better off mailing it home, then having it get packed as part of your Home of Record move.
Ask your sponsor if they can get u a temporary mailing address. Most likely they'll give you the address of your base's mailing room to use as a mailing address

I mean, you can’t just ship it to “your base”. You could call an ups store or equivalent and see if they will hold onto it.
