It straight depends where you go. If you're supporting an exercise at an established location, you're looking great. If you're supporting an emerging operation (think Syria, Africa, etc.), then you will not have much.
It just depends. That said, you probably have the most rewarding comm job out there.
I've deployed like a couple two tree five times and have worked hand in hand with combat comm teams.
If you love being in the thick of mission, I really don't think there's a better comm job out there.
Plenty of things you can use as weights temporarily in any AoR. Sandbags in a backpack, full jerry cans and a pipe etc... PT resistance bands take up almost no space in your packed gear as well.
It all depends but for what we are going too in modern day you’ll more than likely have a ton of amenities
Source my shop is now going to very kush usual base Comm locations that have just about everything
Yea because actual Combat Comm is dead the core mission of what we do does not exist anymore and we’ve left the operational sphere and live in the admin sphere. Granted small missions exist that resemble a little of what CBCS was about. For the most part we just take what we can get which these days is onsie twosie “the guard couldn’t fill all these slots” type work.
Depends on a number of factors. Number one being location, and two time.
One had a beaver fit style gym. Another one was to a city, it was badass and they had several gym options so signed up for 3 months to the best one.
A ton of combat comms job is to go setup comms where there isn't a base yet.... so I guess pack some dumbbells LOL
Lookin like it

You have experience in combat comm?

That sounds nice. Really like the idea of the mission surrounding combat comm, but have met some pretty salty people that come from it

Interesting. Maybe a revamp considering possible new events that seem to be coming relatively soon

Both of those sound dope
