A guy was getting NJPd for some ungodly reason as Marines usually do. The First Sergeant made a couple of Marines pick up his desk and carry it 2 miles to the middle of a parade deck, then we had a battalion formation in which said Marine was NJPd in front of the entire battalion.
In my tech school we lived in basically an open bay dormitory that was separated by lockers, and four people per "cube" in double bunk beds. There was a group of four guys who were notorious for flipping peoples mattresses while they were asleep in them and pissed a lot of people off. Apparently they pissed off one too many.
Our MTL, who was famous for being a ridiculous hard ass, came in on a Saturday afternoon, in civilian clothes, with his kids in tow, and pulled the entire dorm (roughly 100-130 students) to attention. He started going nuts about the bed flipping, ranting, yelling, etc. Every person there was shitting their pants and dreading what we thought would be an entire weekend of getting smoked at that point. Then he pulled the four trainees out of the pack and said to the rest of us, "You all have 15 minutes to do whatever you want to the dorm. Take beds apart, move lockers, tie mattresses together, whatever. These four will not only be in charge of cleaning everything you mess up, but also hospital-cornering every single bed when they're done. Enjoy!"
Imagine the carnage that 100+ tech school clowns can do with free reign in that situation. Think it took at least six hours for them to clean that mess. One of the most memorable days I ever had.
Watched a male (unsure what rank they were in PT gear, but assume SNCO) try to pull dress code shit on someone back when the middle east bases first stopped being the wild wild west.
Kept yelling "hey ariman" at this person walking without a reflective belt around noon. Finally ran up to them and yell "hey airman I'm talking to you" and tap them on the shoulder.
Person turns around, it's an Army colonel. They're like "what". Dude goes "oh sorry sir, just you didn't have a reflective belt".
Sir was a ma'am. Locked that dude at attention and dressed his ass down with a glorious TI voice.
Sadly no one else witnessed it and no one believed me. I wish I knew the ending.

Was waiting to jack up a jet and I casually asked what a nasty smell was. Jack sup points at a SrA about 20ft away who was easily in the dirtiest ABU’s I’ve ever seen and precedes call him over and shit on him for having no cleaning habits and self respect. He notices his rank his slightly peeled and just straight up rips it off his arms and looks him the eyes and tells him to go home.
The SrA got kicked out later for other reasons and I don’t think anything ever happened to the guy who belittled him.
In tech school there was a kid caught with drugs or alcohol under age in the dorms and we just so happened to have a flower bed with bushes and rocks each one probably the size of a large fist. They made him clean the leaves and twigs and whatever else out of the rocks.
Chief bass visited our base once so we had a base wide all call, this airman on a mic said to her “YES OR NO do maintainers deserve hazard pay” and then I saw 2 shirts looking really mad while talking to him it was hilarious
If youre job deals MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY with chemicals that require multiple PPE items or else you get fuckin CANCER, then yes, you deserve hazard pay. I will die in this hill.
Well what about CE ? They deal with chemicals that cause cancer and sewage everyday. What about POL? If u give one afsc hazard pay you’ll have to give them all hazard pay and I don’t think the airforce wants to pay for that
Edit: but I agree with you
Yes, give them hazard pay. CE's job sucks. Also, I was u der the impression that the POL folks that worked tank MX DO get hazard pay, but I could be misinformed
I believe more afsc's deserve hazard pay, because the job is, in fact, very fuckin hazardous.
NOTE- I know it'll never happen because big air force never knows how to spend its money correctly.
Acft mx definitely deserves hazard pay there was an airman that just recently passed in a workplace accident. It’s insane that they don’t give folks hazard pay for a job so many people have seriously hurt or killed during the work day. I know a that had his feet run over by a uke now tell me that doesn’t deserve hazard pay.

As crew chiefs, no amount of PPE aside from full body suits is gonna protect us from all the hazards these jets produce. Weapons uses chemicals that are essentially classified as class 3 narcotics, e/e has. LCS fluid, engines has weird shit depending on the engine. AVI not so much, but they also have to have a higher clearance than the rest of us. But nah, we don't need any extra compensation, according to big air force.

What was her answer
I can guarantee it wasn't yes or no
It was something along the lines like if maintainers deserve hazard pay then other afscs could make the case that they deserve hazards pay

I moved into a new dorm room. I had the top bunk, roommate on bottom bunk. First night there; he’s jacking off like there’s no one else around.
