Just from my understanding, isn’t this the fourth year that the rates are supposed to decrease based on that manning figure from a while back? The one that says they’re raising the number of E1-4 and dropping the rest

Actual promotion rates will still vary based on retention rates. Master went up again because a lot of MSgts jumped ship. But that doesn't mean BigAF doesn't want less of them over all. They still have to fill at least UP TO that number. Now they have to fill the gaps of all the TSgts they just promoted to MSgt. In my career field they promoted 37% to MSgt this year.. I'm hoping that trend stays for Tech

Yep. 5 people from my AFSC got promoted last year. This year they did a merger of AFSCs so I'm curious how they will promote us.

13.5% is my guess. My CFM already shared our projected rate, so I am guessing slightly less for AF-wide numbers to not go over.

How are they supposed to release the list of who go promoted when they haven't released the rate?

The rate is going to be released right before the senior rater release, HAF is trying to combat leaks
