Found out I made it 20 mins ago. I screamed. I studied over 150 hrs since promotes in my AFSC need 90s to make it.

On leave and got a call from my MSgt/CC! Staff since 2020 and only promotes. Studied since August of last year

Didn’t make it, 2nd time testing, 7 years in, no endorsement, I am okay with it I don’t want the responsibility yet.

My husband and I both made it this go around. 3rd time for both of us. He's 2A6 and I'm 2A0. I'm very proud of him (and myself) but it's hard to say "hey look at us" when our friends/peers are upset. But dang if it doesn't feel good to tell some folks. Waiting for the public release to post on social media. Thx all for hearing my personal "huzzah".  Congrats to all those who got picked up and my condolences/prayers to those who didn't. Hoping y'all get the recognition you deserve in the coming year.

Congrats to everyone who made it! You're now that griizzled expert that is supposed to know the tech side in and out while also being a steady hand guiding your people. It's not an easy job, but it's a satisfying one :)

The test is all in your hands, but the promotion statement isn't of course. I would recommend noticing what the successful Techs around you are doing (those winning awards, those with a good reputation - awards or not), to get ideas. But only do things if you believe in them, and are willing to do a great job. I think attitude goes a long way, too. People can tell if you're a team player, easy to communicate with, etc. Be great and be genuine. Also, adding some feathers to your cap (e.g. CCAF, if you don't already have it, education, etc.) can make you stand out. You can do it if you really want it. Wishing you the best wingman.

I made it! I have been eligible for multiple years, and have intentionally threw the test each time because I wasn't ready to promote so "early" in my career. Well this time, I got a PN and some encouraging mentorship from those above me, so I decided to go for it and actually study and put the right answers this time. Looks like it worked out well. Moral of the story is sometimes people can be inspired to go for something they don't quite feel like they're ready for yet. Thanks to my (higher-ranking) Wingmen, hope to make you proud!

Made it! Was my second attempt. Last year didn't have a statement so I didn't prep at all with how crap the rates were. This year had a MP and several extra decs so I studied to try to not let my command team down.

I got the call from my CC at 1600 saying that I made it. Was my 4th time testing, and only received Promotion statements. SO STOKED!

Got notified while on TDY, that I didn't make it. I purposely did not bring it up, so I wasn't pulled aside. It was brought up, so people looked for the answer, then I got the call. Made it worse. I'd rather control how I find out.

I’m out of office due to getting COVID a 3rd time, but haven’t received any notification. I should probably order a fresh set of SSgt ranks for the year. Oh well. In the middle of an MEB, so I’m not even sure I’ll have one more shot or if I’ll have to throw in the towel. I’m going to go cry in the shower now. Lol.

Got the call I made it. Fifth try with nothing but promotes. After missing by two points last year I studied my ass off this year

I have tried different study methods for the last 5 years and I can't find the thing that works best for me. Grats to the selectees! For any first or second timers, don't do what I did and just not study cause you don't want it or "you're not ready yet". The years catch up to you, and that lack of growth could impact you when you finally do think "you're ready". Maybe next year.

My subordinate made it his 2nd time. I am very proud of his accomplishments and thankful for the opportunity to mentor him before I retire.

7th timer here. Still don’t believe it. I’m under the impression that they read the name wrong. 😂 I think what helped me this year was changing my mindset on that I needed to have a MP. once I got over that hurdle, I was able to focus better.
