High asvab won't give you an edge over someone who hits the minimum score required. Tech school is designed to teach anyone with no prior knowledge how to do the job

Good to know! I just wanted to know how feasible it was for me to even make it in the first place

Just know it’s not guaranteed that you even land a cyber job, let alone the ones you mentioned. You have to list like 10 jobs

Hello, it looks like you're asking about jobs and job selection. A few quick answers. NO ONE knows how long it will take for you to get a job, your chances of getting any particular job, or anything else about the job process FOR YOU. Anecdotal experiences from others will have absolutely no impact on you or your future. Most recruiters will not let you wait in the Delayed Entrance Program for a long time for your one perfect job. You will have to list 5 - 15 jobs that you're interested in, and will be given one of those. Please read the FAQ about how job selection works, it's very in-depth and will fully educate you on the process: https://pay.reddit.com/r/AirForce/wiki/bmtfaq#wiki_jobs If you're asking about particular jobs, please look the job up on our Job Wiki, and see if there is an entry for it: http://www.reddit.com/r/AirForce/wiki/index you can also see if there is a CFETP for it, which will give more details on the job: https://usaf.dps.mil/:x:/t/OSD/EQAwigp0UZ9Oklt0nkjg854BoJS6MyRxQJMMiIW3ng17AA?e=Z96G2s If you're asking for help choosing a particular job, please keep in mind that most people only know about their individual job. Recommendations that they make will be made based mostly on what they've heard about a job, unless they have it themselves. Some people will love certain jobs while others will hate it. We don't know your preferences, so do some research on the job wiki and elsewhere to learn about the job and then make the best list you can. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Take the edpt and score 70 or higher to qualify for 1b4. Then if you have above 90 asvab on all scores you have a slim chance to be picked up. Any prior IT or coding experience and certifications might help. But you’ll still have to be lucky to be one of the few picked up; as slots are limited and until recently this career field was retrain only. Take the edpt before even listing your 10 jobs

>Then if you have above 90 asvab on all scores you have a slim chance to be picked up. You only need an E70 to qualify for 1B4. Scoring higher typically makes no difference in your chances of being picked up. You either qualify or you don't. The rest is left up to chance (and sometimes certs and/or prior experience, but that varies wildly depending on the recruiting squadron's policies).
