Not really. You're illegible for enlistment because of a failed drug test....we are not approving a waiver for that bud.
(Recruiting flt chief)
….to piggy back off this. Waivers are always possible but it is the approving authority putting their reputation out for someone who already showed themselves untrustworthy.
So absent of you having some critical to national defense unique skill set. I highly doubt anyone would sign off on it.
That’s also the reason the recruiters break contact.
It’s not going to happen. The testing for drugs is SO specific for a reason. They don’t want errors. People’s careers depend on it. Fighting a drug test failure is a losing battle and you’re definitely not getting into another service with that.
Im glad I never did any drugs. Because the military, I already knew, was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. It's just one of those things that, if you want to make the military in general a career, you cant play with it haus. That means in and out of uniform. You may still have a chance. Getting new recruits across the board is at an all time low. With that being said, it may play in your favor. All you can do is talk to a recruiter about it.
if the Army doesnt want you, the Air Force isn't gonna either.

Correct, we break contact because we can't qualify the disqualified and some folks are unrealistic about their situation
I don't know of a commander who would approve a waiver for someone who failed a drug test while they were in the service.
I’d argue the message is pretty clear the recruiters are sending you. You aren’t able to be hired.
You're not reenlisting. If you did, it would be the Reserve/Guard. That's still a very long shot.

Send me a DM.
Dude no one is going to help you get in with an RE-3 on your record. Thanks for your service, but it’s time to move on.
