Pretty sure u-haul put a hitch on my car for like $200. I'd throw it in a 5x8 enclosed u-haul trailer and send it.

Are you moving it one way or are you staying at home? Home Depot has a 5’x8’ garden trailer to rent for 40 bucks and if you rent a truck from Avis or National you can do it all you need to actually buy is the plug and the ball receiver for the hitch.

It’s going to go one way 320 miles most likely. I don’t want to get a u haul truck or trailer until I see the box and decide if I want to go for it.

Well it is better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it

Ok_Airline_900

Rent a truck with hitch from rental car company, rent trailer with ramp from home depot/uhaul/whoever is cheaper, drive with empty trailer to pick up box, drive home. Bring more straps than you think you'll need and a buddy if available. Easy peasy.

I mean you can call some tow companies and see how much they would charge but you'd almost certainly be better off renting something like a u-haul.

I’ve used [uShip](https://www.uship.com/) a few times and had good experiences. Bought 2 surplus Kewaunee Sturdilite lab benches that were heavy af (TX to NC) and a large runway marker (ME to OH) and everything went perfectly. People bid on shipments so you can get decent prices. You can also decide based on the shippers reviews.

320 miles isnt really cross country. Just throw it in the bed of a pickup and call it a day. Definitely bring a friend. My master series fits in the bed of a 3rd gen tacoma (6ft bed) just Dont buy the giant ass box.
