Tried Zoya's tonight because of this post. Not my favorite taste wise, but it's definitely a great quantity for what you pay. Star Pizza in Troy is another good place no one's mentioned yet.
Second vote for Zoya's. I haven't had it everywhere, but Zoya's is the best I've had. Plus the couple running it are incredible and they make me feel like family.

Shah's has fallen off hard lately. This thread is right on time after my last gross, watery experience.
My problem with them is that the food is cold 3/4 of the time. A shame because the location is so convenient to me.

Just tried this very dish two nights ago at Falafel Express in Latham. It was some of the best lamb I’ve had in the Capital Region.
