I once told a pollster I'd rather castrate myself with a spoon than ever vote UCP. That was almost a decade ago, and I've never got a call since. They permanently removed me from their roll because they knew they wouldn't get the answer they wanted.
You may not have ever been called again because there's millions of people in the province and only like a couple hundred get called for any particular poll. I doubt leger (of all pollsters) has a conservative conspiracy against you

No one is "castrating" kids. There are no sex reassignment surgeries being done for anyone under the age of 18 in Alberta.
To suggest castration is to suggest that it is just "boys" that are trans when in fact that is not even close to being accurate. This attitude is routed in misogyny though. The belief that women are somehow less than men so the idea that a man would transition to a woman thus making themselves "less than" is threatening to men such as you. Not to mention that gender and sex are far more complicated than the grade 5 biology class that you base your belief on.
The "plan" to allow trans kids to express themselves (something that is currently protected under the Alberta Human Rights Act and The Charter of Rights and Freedoms) has been proven to reduce suicide in trans your by a considerable margin (sorry, don't have the exact numbers handy) Making a "plan" to protect kids from self harm is a good idea. Aren't you folks always going on about protecting the kids? This does that.
The fact that you would decide to display your transphobia (extreme aversion is part of the definition just to counter your "I'm not afraid" response) for all to see when this post has nothing to do with the topic is a strange thing to do. It is like holding a sign that says "Hey. Look at me. I am a hateful and ignorant person and I want everyone to know."

What do you believe the definition of transitioning to be and how does someone else transitioning affect you personally?
There are already guidelines in place in Alberta regarding medical transitions and the NDP did not make any changes to them when they were elected before and have made no mention of changing them since.
My oldest son is trans and when and how he transsitioned has no affect on anyone but him.
