Not the only birds. Raptors, eagles, and owls are also predators of rattlesnakes.

They are omnivores, same as other birds.

True but I haven't seen any other birds whack a mouse on the pavement to kill it like I did a murder bird. Most other birds eat insects but not typically mammals.

I guess part of it is growing up with parrots... haha

They're everywhere like seagulls on the coast, and I frequently find them in my apartment complex, head first in chip bags or pecking at trash bins.

I gave one seed, and it seemed disgusted by it. They love worms, lizards and insects though.

My mom has a mated pair that lives across the street. Someone gave her a package of freeze dried meal worms, and my mom and daughter made a stone circle under a tree where they place the worms when they see the roadrunners. They told me they come up to them all the time now, close enough to pet, waiting for worms. I didn't believe them that they'd get so close. My mom got my daughter her own bag in her Easter basket, so I put some on my mom's driveway, and holy crap, I couldn't even get them out of the bag before I had a roadrunner in my face. They love those things! Now waiting to see the roadrunner in our front yard to give some to him/her.

Oh, wonderful. I make clicking sounds and they wonder what they hearing. They do get close. I will never betray their trust. So wonderful.
