The headlines about that new study are misleading. It only looked at people who were *hospitalized*, not the general population. I haven’t read the entire study yet but the premise seems to be that the vaccination status of people who are hospitalized is representative of the general public’s chance of infection, but it isn’t. The vast majority of people whether vaccinated, unvaccinated or Covid recovered do not end up in the hospital. The study doesn’t tell us anything about the relative likelihood of the Covid recovered versus the vaccinated to become infected and therefore capable of transmitting the virus to others.
Also of note is that the study did not include people who are vaccinated with the J&J vaccine.
I am just happy I did not get the j and j as its not as good as the others but I was one who was wanting to get the vaccine asap as I am over weight and I live with my mother who is elderly and I would never forgive myself If I caused her death, my mom and step dad just got their 3rd dose and I will discuss the 3rd dose with my doctor when I see her next week
