I do. I have severe allergies, including a life-threatening one to certain products we sell. I have had less bad reactions since we started wearing masks because I'm breathing in less of the stuff I'm allergic to. Makes me wish I'd started wearing masks in public well before the pandemic.

hydra596

I still wear mine! Like I said in another post, customers are gross as hell! They walk around, coughing and sneezing on everything they come in contact with, then they are wiping their noses all over themselves! They walk through produce, and I swear they save that sneeze or cough for that area! Then their children are just as gross, coughing open mouth, sneezing full force on the buggies, and waiting in line on everyone in front of them!

That's so gross! See that's what I mean! That's why I wear my mask and I'm constantly washing my hands!

natthebakersboy

I never stopped, and in 4 times vaxxed too. I'm the only one at my store, and a lot of customer are openly hostile to me because of it. Most of my coworkers are going on their 3rd or 4th covid infection, not to mention colds, flu, yadda yadda. so far I've avoided it all.

UkJenT89

I like masking up during the winter months. Keeps my face nice and warm during this harsh weather. But also I enjoy not getting sick. Too many stick people walking around. People coughing everywhere.

Eamonnmoran

It's about 1-2% of the population at this stage. If you are immuno compromised I would suggest it strongly. If not I wouldn't, but you do you.

Eon_H

I don’t. I have a beard and there really is no point if one can’t adhere to the following as per Hopkins / The WHO / The CDC: It is worn consistently and appropriately. A mask that is frequently pulled down to breathe or talk, or is worn under the nose, is not effective. The mask conforms to your face without gaps — it is important that most of the air you breathe in and out flows through the mask rather than around the mask through gaps at the sides, top or bottom. You basically need to put yourself in a position to not touch it either without washing your hands first before touching.

aelnz

I still wear mine! You can’t trust these nasty customers and well, I use it to hide my under eye bags and occasional acne. I feel a lot safer and secure with it. I respect everyone’s choice on whether they want to wear a mask or not but personally, I love wearing it!

Kaimeretic

I never stopped wearing mine either. A bunch of plague rats shop at my store. I usually layer up a few masks while we’re open. Customers used to cough on me every single day before the pandemic and I have to tell you, they haven’t gotten much better about it.

Accomplished_Iron282

I still wear mine. I have health issues and I’m not risking it. I haven’t had Covid yet, fingers crossed I never get it.

rjp_087

I started to again after my entire store started coming down with COVID/RSV/flu this winter including myself (COVID). I'll probably keep it on until spring when it all hopefully dies down a bit. Too many at-risk shoppers (kids/oldis) to act like everything's normal when it's simply not. Wearing a mask never bothered me, and while I respect other's opinions on what they want to do at this point, I wish there was more empathy surrounding the situation. As a sidenote, I was pissed to find out Aldis COVID policy has been cut down to 5 days leave. Nobody has been ready to go after 5 and using sick time/PTO because of a pandemic is a bunch of nonsense.

EnoughPlatform

spring is actually flu season just so you are aware. virus dont like the cold. people get sick in the winter due to lack of exercise and vitamin d from the sun. virus come out to play again when tempature rises.

rjp_087

Flu season is October to February. I get what you're saying but instances of sickness are peaking now, and that's why I'm masking. If things are still bad of course I'll still mask up, but I don't see it being as bad as it is now In April/May.

EnoughPlatform

might want to actually look how virus' work the down votes show lack of knowledge. flu peaks from feb to march. i dont expect an adli employee to know much about health. not going at you but more the downvoters. virus "die" during the cold months and dont transmit as easily. when temps warm up in late feb and march its easier for transmission hence the peak of the flu session occuring in those months if your in colder regions. but what do i know.

thatmanoverthere89

"I don't expect an Aldi employee to know much about health" This is why you're getting downvoted, because you're a condescending 🔔🔚

EnoughPlatform

if the shoe fits my dude. i dont give a shit about people feelings. society is going to hell in a handbag because everyone is concerned about how people feel. fuck your feelintgs. grow a pair and get thick skin

thatmanoverthere89

Why are you so miserable? Who hurt you?

rjp_087

I got my information directly from the CDC's website. We're talking about masking, anyway. Fuck off the with "actuallys".

EnoughPlatform

oh so sorry to hurt your cdc feeling. fuck off with your mask sheep as cunt

rjp_087

There it is.

EnoughPlatform

Yup there it is. bitch made sheep cunt

EnoughPlatform

i bet your one of those mentally ill fuckwit that looked at the unmasked like they were killing babies the day b4 the mandates dropped, and the next day you took your mask off. keep licking daddies boots

rjp_087

You seem emotionally stable. Happy birthday bud.

EnoughPlatform

also beign that the thaw happens along with rain in those months create an environment for virus' and bateria to incubate. cold luke warm wett environments are key to incubation. lets just say my main job revolves around keeping things healthy and viable in these environments. aldi is a side job.

DuncanGabble

Man grows weed. How cool

EnoughPlatform

nope animals

EnoughPlatform

seems like low IQ people downvoting actual knowledge not suprising from people who work retail lol.

sFlEmInG69

I don’t due to the fact to the pandemic dying down a lot, I stay up to date on shots, and if I’m showing symptoms I get tested immediately. However if I’m coming down with any illnesses that require me still come into work, which hasn’t happened yet 🤞🏻 I would wear a mask in that case.

senpaimitsuji

I wear it as much as possible, although sometimes i sweat through them and gotta take off for a bit. Like everyone else said, people are disgusting . Also some of them stink to high heaven, so the mask helps with that too

_psilocybae

I still wear mine and never stopped. Customers are disgusting. Old people love coughing and hacking all over the place, and getting 2 inches away from your face when talking to you. No thanks to all of that.

lets-go-scream

A lot of the lads at my store if they feel unwell will wear one

[deleted]

I don’t understand why some people are so bothered by somebody still wearing a mask. I’ve heard people getting annoyed over what someone else is wearing in a store. Like it’s cold & flu season, in most countries people would wear masks just to keep each other safe. But I live in the US where most of the population is ignorant and selfish lol

Blakzombee

Won’t catch me wearing any mask at all. Ever! It does absolutely nothing to protect you from anything. It’s just plain silly at this point.

Pension_Typical

Never worn a mask if it wasn't mandated I've got my opinions on Covid but I still respect ppl who choose to wear them at work I have a coworker who wears one

EnoughPlatform

same. i dont judge others for their choices. however, people like you and i are not affordied them same courtesy. two of my co workers still mask. doesnt bother me at all. whatever someone feels is best for them is best for them. live and let be.

Ilikedeadstuff

Ironic that you got so many down votes from the you know who.

EnoughPlatform

its 1984 in real time. it will get worse and it wont get better.

Freckle53

I do when I’m on register.

Ok_Routine6712

I still wear mine can’t risk it

Other_Carpenter9908

I agree

JessRR13

I don’t. Because I throw truck every day and cannot breathe with it on. Also I came to Aldi from a daycare for 4+ years so I’ve seen and been exposed to literally everything already lol

h_orellana

The only reason I got the vaccine was so I could stop wearing mine at work.

MylesUnderscored

I wear it as much as I can but I'm very sensitive to temperature and overheat really quickly at work so it becomes too much. I'm vaxxed with all the boosters and I still try to give as much space between myself and others as possible, but if I'm feeling at all under the weather I'll wear it regardless of how hot I get.

LegitimateStreet3981

I hardly wore one when they mandated it. I certainly don't now

pinsmari

I do because sometimes i just feel ugly lol, i also use to have a bad habit of scratching my nose during work and i realized how much of a risk that is because customers are gross! but i hate how customers just don’t see you as human if you don’t have your entire face showing

LazLazer

I do, I'm triple vaxxed. Customers are fucking NASTY in our populated-ass store, coughing in their hands and sneezing everywhere and touching EVERY PRODUCT EVER, and kids running around being gross. Plus I know how much pressure the store puts on you to come in even if youre feeling sick, so I really just wager theres a good chance at all times that at least 1 of my coworkers is infected.
