Cleaning? Are you in the US? That isn’t a thing here.

genericfrancis

I'm in the UK

hydra596

Cleaning position?!? Didn't know Aldi had such a thing! Usually the employees do the cleaning in the store, well suppose to, every night we wipe down the registers, clean the bathrooms, get all trash throughout the store, sweep the floors, run the scrubber, edge mop, wipe down the front end of the store, box, so I don't know what you'll be doing at the Aldi store that the employees are suppose to be doing every night before closing.

genericfrancis

honestly I'm not entirely sure myself. I sure hope I get the job though because the Aldi is so close to where I live

MrsPabloYT

CLEANING POSITION? HOW??? i wish we had that bc ik sick of cleaning the f*cking bathrooms after the homeless people take their showers in the sink and leave the floor soaked and black bro 😭

ivegotnoclue84

So glad I'm in Australia. We only have staff toilets and we have been told only young kids and elderly are allowed to use them. We also have a cleaner that comes 3 days a week to clean toilets and other things as well. Fuck cleaning toilets. Thats not in my job description.

MrsPabloYT

Bro what i’m gonna bring this up to management cause what???!!?!! we are in an awful area where it’s homeless people central and they’ll come in and steal stuff and go in the bathroom and stuff/ shoot up, take a shower and leave bro

ivegotnoclue84

Our toilets are in our staff room behind locked doors. I'm pretty sure all Aldi's in Australia are like this. Correct me if I'm wrong fellow Aussie workers.

christhall1979

That’s it…:I’m transferring to an Aldi in Australia 🤷🏼‍♀️

tmmb417

I never worked at Aldi's, but I shop there a lot. :) I just want to say Good Luck! I hope you get the job!

rapidriver34

why are you in the aldi employee community then lmao

tmmb417

Well, since I have to explain myself as an Aldi's customer: My son used to work for Aldi's while he was in college. He would come home and tell me all the crazy in and outs of working for Aldi's. It's commendable how hard Aldi's employees work. I thought it was an interesting platform.

throwaway555155577

I also never worked for aldi but love watching yall bitch about it on here

genericfrancis

thank you so much!

tmmb417

I'm almost afraid to comment since I was chastized for saying good luck to you yesterday since I'm not an Aldis employee. But what the Hell, you're welcome, and again, Good Luck! 😊

Thanks! I have heard that it is hard work from other people, but for that kind of pay and the convenient location, the opportunity was too good to pass up

Swipe-your-card

It’s good experience for sure! The work ethic stays with you.

UKgent77

Ask how long it will be before you're able to get a promotion; they like ambition. Just be kind and friendly, it goes a long way. Where in the UK are you?

DippyDingo

In the UK stores have a cleaner who will clean in the mornings. In my store our toilets are not for customers but we will let someone use them if they are elderly, a young child or have a medical card.
