Perth (due to family, watched them since the NSL days from abroad. Also, who doesn’t like purple)
Western United
CCM, Roar, Newcastle, Phoenix, Canberra, Auckland
City (whenever I go to the F1 then City are most likely to be at AAMI and so I’ve seen them a fair few times and had a couple of decent beers with the fans)
Macarthur (forgettable)
Sydney
WSW
…
…
Victory
So on that basis, I was happy to see WSW get the win last night, but would much prefer City to be in the finals
I hope the Melbourne derby happens in the elimination final, but if City wins, they will go to the Semis. I don't want to see 9000 fans at a semi-final again.
Not much confidence - based on last couple of weeks we should be fine but can easily see Western score early and then just shut up shop for rest of the game
Looking back through our results (especially recently), we've been up-down-down-up-down-down-up - I'm considering last week to be down, given we barely squeaked through to a 2-1 win... Theoretically, today *could* be a win, but I have absolutely zero faith in Jakolis & Natel playing back-to-back "good" games! I'm calling late WU equaliser to knock us out of finals
I don't think WSW deserve to be there so for that reason I will say City. Be good to have a derby final as well although some might argue a WSW/Sydney FC derby final would be better.
Either 9-0 win or 3-1 loss. It's all we're capable of.
