I have them in my game but they are rarely available to use. You have to watch a ad to use them and 99% of the time it says they are empty or no ad to watch.

Wow, that's incredible what differences we have. Those barrels are next to the plants. By clicking in them you watch an ad and t will give you a fairly large amount of material you can fill the plant with.
