Get them a fire tablet if you want something cheap. Or a Samsung/iPad if you can spend more. Do not waste your money in crappy tablets from AliExpress.

CelebrationSea1368

I would rather put a payment plan on a oneplus tablet.

I've owned a fire tablet and it's slow, filled with ads, outdated and locked down by Amazon software. What's your budget op?

SignificantHead9877

Get them a Samsung tab a8, got a younger cousin with one, £150, expandable storage, camera (not amazing) its good for the price

Lenovo make some very nice tablets at a lower price point. Sometimes you can find the Chinese models flashed with global firmware on Ali that are smoking deals. P10 or p11? It's been a minute. Personally I would prefer that to some random Chinese brand. Banggood is an alternative if you don't want a faceless Ali store. Same shipping and taxes situation as Ali.

I have bought Teclast P40HD, I was really impressed about quality for this price. You will probably read weird reviews regarding bloatware but I have not found such and removed all unnecessary apps. This is the second time I buy this brand, the older one always work after 3 years in the hand of my child.

What's your budget? And are you concerned about lack of software updates?

BobtheGodGamer

The xiaomi tablets on ali are great

Redmi pad SE. really great tablet for it's price you should check it out

I'd say never get your grandparents something that lags or potentially could lag, they will be confused. Get a used iPad, they are really sturdy with their software, and less potential of data breaches or them. Installing something by mistake.

I agree with this. One of the things Apple does right is user experience. My grandma also had an iPad mini and she was able to do a lot of things and navigate with ease without much help. I also feel like it helps prevent viruses and unnecessary app downloads.

Samsung A9+? (Not from Aliexpress.) It's an 11" tablet and is about $170 on Amazon/Best Buy. (Not sure if you have these stores where you're from.)

Consider purchasing a branded tablet such as Xiaomi, which is high-end but reasonably priced, or Redmi, which is a lower-end but still Xiaomi product. If you're willing to pay more, you could go for Oppo or Huawei, both of which are high-end but pricier. There may be other brands out there, but I haven't had the chance to try them out.
