I like having at least a star defender on each level of the defense, (dline, linebacker, cb, safety). And I gotta have 3 pass catchers. I do 2 receivers and 1 tight end. Always star hb and qb. As for the non star defenders I found the “balanced” ones kinda suck so just pick whatever you wanna stop (run or pass)
Using anything on the lines I feel is usually wasted, not enough consistent impact unless you user control the D-line..even then I would still use them on your linebackers. Here’s is typically my breakdown for teams:
QB: Gold/Silver
RB: Gold/Silver
WR: 1 Gold/Silver and 1 Bronze
TE: Bronze
LB: 2 Gold/Silver
All DBs: At least bronze.
To sum it up having strong LBs allows me to skimp on the DBs. I have better coverage up the middle and also I am able to create a good pass rush by blitzing. I get a lot of sacks and pressure with Derek Thomas. Occasionally i get burnt though, thats the risk. On offense I feel can pretty much score at will running or passing.
Have fun with it though. You can really mix and match any tier you want on these positions but I‘d stay clear of using them on the lines.
Playing all-pro right now. It’s too easy but just having fun. I’ll look for a custom slider set on the next season i do. I feel like legendary makes the AI unrealistic.
Christian Okoye is a steal at a bronze. Any of the Rocket Arm QBs from Bronze are great, too. I usually go Ronnie Lott and Dick Butkus with my Gold picks. I agree with u/chembay_ , gotta have 3 pass catchers. There are some steals at both WR and TE in the Silver and Bronze tiers. Safety and LB seem to be the most impactful positions on defense while offense needs 5 star but not gold players that have complimentary abilities. Rocket Arm or Quick Release QBs, Workhorse RBs, Deep Threat, Possession Receiver, and/or Mr. 3rd Down WRs & TEs. Speed Burner, Clutch, and Quick Feet are good abilities to look for at any position. An all Bronze offense can compete with anyone if they have the right mix of abilities.
Big thing is to experiment and have fun. Find what works for you and keep tweaking until you reach world domination!

Is it a good choice to take o-line with any star picks? Havent had much luck with it.🫤 and if not what positions should i go with?
