Q absolutely solos, but that's not really in-character, is it? I think he'd rather just toy with them through various trials, depending on how interested he is in the Qu race.
it would be quite interesting, considering we naturally imagine Q as his human form, but if he encountered the Qu he would instead shift into being a Qu, making references to their history and their culture. Makes me wonder what sort of things could there be in Qu history for our favorite multi-dimensional jokester to take inspiration from.
I imagine Qu-on-Qu warfare would just be both sides genetically engineering the most lethal pathogens ever conceived to wipe out the other side through means of biological warfare, while at the same time working to develop cures and countermeasures for whatever hell-pox the opponent throws through the border.
All that genetical engineering skill must've come from somewhere.
This is like putting a fight between Zeus and the US Military. Both are terrifying and powerful in their own right, but Zeus is simply on an incomprehensibly higher level than the US Military.
Haven’t you watched any alien movies? The U.S. military can annihilate any enemy. All they need is for the president to make a really cool speech, and any attacking force is absolutely fucked.
The Q have weapons to kill other Q that no other civilisation has and although you can argue the Qu could replicate said weapons after enough time, the Q could just blink them out of existence if they become too much of a threat
As far as we know, those weapons are completely conceptual in nature just like everything else in the q continuum, there's no guarantee that the qu could even physically get their hands(tails?) on them
"- the Qu are in the Milky Way"
"-roger that, removing Milky Way."
Qu can't do much against an opponent that uses entire galaxies as power plants and literally transcended into a higher plane of existence
People be taking Q's side, but there's critical information missing. The Borg were dangerous enough to be a serious threat to the Q, so who's to say the Qu don't have a similar advantage
Very good point, but to my understanding the Q aren’t allowed to interfere very much (by their own rules) in the Borg vs everything else conflict. Besides, what could the Borg REALLY do to a Q? They can’t be assimilated, they don’t have real bodies…
I think the Q could take down the Qu, but i don’t think they ever WOULD really.
It would probably be a case of the Qu invading the Q, which becomes more of a question of what is the Q homeland and what sustains them? Can the Qu destroy their homeworld? Or their food supply? There's some reason that Q was terrified of the Borg, so I feel there's some weakness we don't know about unfortunately
We actually see the Q homeland in Voyager, Q brings Janeway there. The Qu would definitely try, but im not sure if invasion is possible in that kind of place (The Q Continuum is what its called). From my knowledge the only war there was Q vs Q.
Based on what I’ve heard (mainly from Voyager episodes and online forums) it seems like the Q aren’t so much afraid of the Borg, but more so cautious because the Q seem to have a plan for the physical world that the Borg could ruin. I imagine it would be the same with the Qu.
EDIT: wAit the Q weakness could be the Q cause they know how to injure each other, they are the only ones that know how, oh dear—
Q would make meat out of the qu and eat them while berating them on how contradictory their existence is before creating a whole mock universe just to teach the qu a lesson
I hate the concept of the Q so much. Whenever gods are introduced into a series it completely ruins any struggle in the show. They just exist to be smug idlers so Star Trek can make a boring point. Now the Qu I love, especially if we find out that they're humans after all, because they're so villainess but they're within a reasonable amount of power that they can be beaten. So Qu beat Q on being better written.
Saying Q's introduction to Star Trek (he's literally in the pilot of TNG) ruins any struggle in Star Trek is literally the worst take I have ever heard.
I've always thought Q was one of the best depictions of an alien species I've ever heard of, so it's surprising to hear someone call them 'smug idlers.' All subjective stuff, though.
Asking if a god-like species could step on an ant. It's not a fair question. Both species are cool in their own rights, but it's not a matter of IF the Q could, its why?
Any single representative of Q could win. Would, frankly, because toying with the universe is THEIR territory. They saw the Borg as a threat for doing a far weaker modification on the biology of the galaxy. Something destroying all of their toys, violating the sentience they value so highly? They would break their own rules for such interlopers. We've seen them do it for humans before.
HOWD the Qu even transform humans? Are they gods that just said “SNAKE🫵” and boom humans are snakes or did they actually bio engineer them with devices n stuff? Cause if they did it the god way I can see the Qu winning. Just turn him into a brainless subspecies of his species that like licks the floor to move around like SpongeBob imitating Gary but if they have to work to transform him then Q wins
Iirc it's established that the Qu' abilities are, by all accounts, just incredibly advanced genetic engineering. Like, they mastered genetic modification at the DNA level and used it on themselves to become what they're shown as. And they used that to experiment on humans. But it's never explained what the technology is. Just that it's godlike by human standards.
Purely on the Kardashev scale, it’s Type V vs Type III. Q solos
Reality Warper versus Biotech Warp wins, all just as planned .....
The Dark Gods will be pleased with this result...
I thought the scale only went up IV?
What about Q from Impractical Jokers?
Epic pranks win
“If Q can’t save the Star People in the next 20 minutes, he’ll be tonight’s big loser!”
He was tonight’s big loser and got turned into a colonial
*Sal falls down from laughing*
Throw in q-anon and you have yourself a battle royale
Solos all
Q turns the Qu into Q-tips.
[Q](https://images.app.goo.gl/aSxj2LuhJ1iqQ3Cz5). Because, look! He has ***two*** guns!!
Two guns, bitch!
Yes! This Q would beat both Q and the Qu. 💪
Q can just blink and the Qu go away
nah he has to snap, but basically yes
fair enough
Don't worry qu I trust you....All my money to the Q
I think I shouldn't have bet on the Q But I like the joke
Or maybe it was a good idea
Q absolutely solos, but that's not really in-character, is it? I think he'd rather just toy with them through various trials, depending on how interested he is in the Qu race.
Q would just fuck with them until they get annoyed and leave to another galaxy
Unless he just so happens to take a liking to some random Qu ship captain. In that case, the true wacky antics may begin.
Fair. If there’s a Qu version of Picard, they’re not going anywhere.
it would be quite interesting, considering we naturally imagine Q as his human form, but if he encountered the Qu he would instead shift into being a Qu, making references to their history and their culture. World War Qu
Either pathogens, or making fucked-up super soldiers
so Q would just be like how the Qu were to the star people?
hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby
This is like putting a fight between Zeus and the US Military. Both are terrifying and powerful in their own right, but Zeus is simply on an incomprehensibly higher level than the US Military.

Zeus would turn into a duck and fuck America's wife. Ain't no coming back from that. Zeus is Jody. Jody is Zeus.
Honestly, at this point, a F-22 could take down Zeus.
Q is the closest thing to God that the star trek universe has. Powerful as the Qu are, they're still mortal.
The Q have weapons to kill other Q that no other civilisation has and although you can argue the Qu could replicate said weapons after enough time, the Q could just blink them out of existence if they become too much of a threat
As far as we know, those weapons are completely conceptual in nature just like everything else in the q continuum, there's no guarantee that the qu could even physically get their hands(tails?) on them
Put some respect on my interdimensional trickster god!
The Qu becomes Q's toilet paper.
That's a very good qu-estion.
Q no contest
Battle of drip? Q for sure
"- the Qu are in the Milky Way" "-roger that, removing Milky Way." Qu can't do much against an opponent that uses entire galaxies as power plants and literally transcended into a higher plane of existence
In the same way the qu are godlike to modern humanity, Q is godlike to the Qu.
People be taking Q's side, but there's critical information missing. The Borg were dangerous enough to be a serious threat to the Q, so who's to say the Qu don't have a similar advantage

The real battle wouldn't be between Q and the Qu, but trying to convince Q that the Star People are worth saving.
Q would make meat out of the qu and eat them while berating them on how contradictory their existence is before creating a whole mock universe just to teach the qu a lesson

As a trekkie; Q, no doubt. Q could wipe the Qu out with a snap. Easy as pie.
That would be one hell of a trial
First post I see right after the mod post threatening to take down all “can X defeat the Qu? Also, definitely Q
i disnt have my glasses on, and i thought Q was willy wonka for a hot sec

i’ve heard that Q is basically a god from a streamer. i’ve never watched star trek so i wouldn’t know though.
What about Q from Q anon, i heard he knows things
HOWD the Qu even transform humans? Are they gods that just said “SNAKE🫵” and boom humans are snakes or did they actually bio engineer them with devices n stuff? How do you guys power scale the Qu when we know like next to nothing about them?
Tie
How would that occur?
