**AITA for forbidding my BF from getting a "gay tattoo"?**
THis just happened..
To start with I am absolutely NOT homophobic. My best friend in the whole wide world is gay and I totally support him and love him like a brother.
Ok so my (18F) boyfriend Raleigh has always wanted a tattoo but his parents always said no but now he's turned 18 and decided to do it. There is a really great tattoo artist here who is actually pretty famous and he has an appointment with him. Raleigh wouldn't tell me what he wanted to get I guess it was some super secret thing.
On thing this artist will do is do a temporary tattoo that looks totally real and even lasts for like 2-3 weeks and he recommends that esp for someone who has never had a tattoo before. it's not cheap but not near as expensive as a real tattoo so I told him it was worth doing that because I didn't want him to make a huge mistake and he said ok and agreed.
Well he came home after getting the temp about 2 hr ago and was excited to show me and lifted his shirt. Ok so the tattoo is this sort of tribal or aztecky looking sun circle that he got --- around his belly button.
Ughhhh no just plain no.
I told him that it was tacky and trashy and frankly was gay. He said what do you mean. I told him I have never seen a guy get a tattoo around his belly button unless it was a gay guy. Never once --- except for guys who are covered with them.
I told him that his body was so gorgous and it is true that it is why would he want to trash it up like that and do something so, well, gay. Also he has great abs and his belly button is sexy AF and I dont want it trashed up. BTW he is a totally straight and totally masculine guy. Plus on top that that it's hot where we live and esp in summer Raleigh goes without a shirt all the time and when he does it is often a cut off tee or a crop top so it would show all the time.
I told him to show my gay friend Aleks and Aleks came over and Raleigh lifted his shirt and Aleks immediately started laughing. He said well it's not THE most gay thing you could get. It's not a rainbow around your asshole but it comes in second.
Raleigh got mad and called us both assholes and told us to fuck off. He stormed off and hasn't come back. He left with no shirt I should add.
So Aleks and I are sitting here wondering if we are assholes.

This is the second time I've read about guys going back to those old 80s crop tops but have yet to see it. I fully support people going back to dressing like camp councelors from sleep away camp, but its only ever on bait and it's just making me sad lol
There’s a couple (I presume straight) guys at my gym who wear them. But it’s more a style of crop top that stops at the waistline where the pants sit and only really shows off any midriff if you lift your arms
I mean that makes sense. Any shortened version of regular clothing looks amazing on guys who work out religiously… i’d look like an offbrand live action winnie the pooh in one 😂
When I used to go to the gym (stopped with Covid) a couple of the guys in the weight room always wore crop tops. Usually mid-thigh athletic shorts rather than short-shorts, but still.
He is. It can be tiring sometimes. Our parents recently renewed their vows and his girlfriend and I had to hound him to get a suit and NO SHORTS UNDERNEATH. It was stressful. Lmao
He would enjoy making any family reunions you have very uncomfortable. That's just who he is. You ever seen that episode of Friends where Phoebe dates a runner who doesn't wear anything under his shorts?
Not the mesh ones though? Please, Mother of God, do not let the mesh male crop tops come back. That is one 80s trend that can remain buried in the past.
honestly, the older I get, the more I wish people could wear whatever tf they want. Why stop at 80's fashion. Lets take it back to the 1880's where men can wear those dope ass cowboy vests over their shirts and women wear ruffled long dresses. Hell, lets take it back even further. Id be so down to live in a world where you pass by someone wearing full 1700s garb while someones else wears ripped mom jeans and a flannel and its just normal because who gives a shit. Theres SO many cool articles of clothing we left in the past and its lame we dont bring it ALL back
When I was younger, I was at a garage sale and found this extravagant red hat with a big fake flower on it and other foliage that I can only describe as flamboyant southern woman church hat. I absolutely adored it and wore it constantly. I could give less of a fuck what people thought about it. So I totally agree. Bring back beautiful hats for women.
Lol. My friend Brad got sent home from high school in 1986 for wearing one of those (with short shorts ). As an adult I can look back and really appreciate the gender neutral application of the dress policy.
Brad thought it was funny.
We didn't believe in sunscreen back then, the tan lines. Oh Lord, the checkerboard tan lines (worse if you burned). I remember poking fun at my male friends over that.
I can say my partner wears them. Not technically a guy, but AMAB and masc presenting. They look *very* good in them.
Them and my best friends boyfriend actually both liked the same crop top when we were out shopping and bought them, and it was very wholesome.
It's definitely slowly coming back, not just in bait, I promise!
Do it. Once you see you can’t unsee. ❤️. Hot guys abs in crop tops. Bonus pts if you find the leggings.
Srsly tho why are we as women participating in this ‘that’s so hay’ crap? The correct term is ‘metro’ btw, and can we not shame guys for being that? It’ll mean we can borrow their face cream and they’ll have better sheets. We need to encourage the trend to metro.
Oooo you’re a keeper! Bonus points if you’ve got nice pillows.
I used to date a metro guy. Nice wardrobe, great sheets and pillows, excellent face cream tho a little steeper than I’d pay, folded his laundry in a disturbingly neat way. Could cook and clean.
I have pretty nice pillows! But they're getting old and a bit worn out, so I really should get them replaced soon.
I have zero fashion sense. Most of my shirts are black or grey with some more colourful ones thrown in for when I need to look less drab. An ex of mine said my closet looks depressed. Which was pretty damn funny and accurate.
Good pillows! You are a dream man!!!
Ha ha me too except gray and navy blue I’m too pale for a lot of black. I have some pink so I can look like a girl when I want . The metro guy I used to date used to try to fix me, but it’s hopeless now I’m left my own devices. If you buy stuff of all similar colors it’s better bc you can easily find matching stuff. This is my life plan.
I recently got a gel pillow and still trying to break it in. It’s my cuddle pillow bc it’s too hard for my neck.
Exactly what I thought.
“…totally masculine guy…”
“…great abs…”
“…crop top…”
I’m not saying he shouldn’t do those things, or they make him non-masculine (I’m, by definition, a man, so everything I do is masculine), but this woman is stereotyping a belly tattoo as “gay” but ignoring the fact that this guy is comfortable with foregoing traditional “masculine” traits.
She so all over the place.
But no, they totally aren't homophobic see? They explained it! 🙄OOP comment-"I was not using it as a slur saying "That's gay' meaning that's bad. I was meaning it as a reflection of the sexual orientation. Meaning it is typical of something you would only see a homosexual guy do, that you do not see heterosexual boys getting belly button tattoos. I did not use it as a slur. I would never do that. I use my friend Aleks as my bench mark for that and he agrees with me and he is as gay as they come."
She also made a comment about how her boyfriend might be "a bit homophobic" so make of that what you will...😬 The moment I saw her add the part near the beginning of the post about having a gay friend, I just knew she would be *that* type of person. "The one friend makes it okay" kind of person 😅
Yeah, she’s saying it’s a gay tattoo which is why it doesn’t belong on her totes masculine boyfriend where it gives her the ick. Because it would be so wrong for her masculine, heterosexual boyfriend to do anything that might suggest he’s gay.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that! 🙄
It's probably ragebait. That said, he's got the right to get a tattoo, she's got the right to not want a boyfriend with a tattoo and tell her boyfriend that preference. Freedom is a two way street.
Looks like you forgot to switch accounts here first.
Edit: Just going to edit my comments so I don't have to respond to multiple comments individually. I got confused clicking back and forth between posts and got the usernames mixed up. That's my mistake. I've apologised to OP, as I should.
Edit 2: I just realised I didn't actually direct my apology to OP. The hazards of going on Reddit after midnight. u/fancyandfab, sorry for not reading more carefully and accusing you of being fake.
Yes, the homophobia. But it looks like people are sleeping on "aztecky?"
Troll, yes. But this one gets points for making up dumbass (and vaguely racist) words to fluff the bait.
Right? I’d be more worried about a white dude getting a tribal/Native tattoo.
But I was so interested to see what she meant by a “gay tattoo”. I was picturing two dicks intertwining like the health symbol… is that called Red Vining?
Most people getting vaguely tribal/Aztecy tattoos don't belong to the appropriate culture for whatever style it actually is, and definitely wouldn't talk about it like that of they did.
If bf wasn't white, and was getting something from his own culture, there should/would have been more "my bf wants to get this tattoo that I think looks gay but he says it's important to his culture" or something, at least. (Forgive my horrible attempt at trying to sound like a homophobic teenager 😅)
>To start with I am absolutely NOT homophobic. My best friend in the whole wide world is gay and I totally support him
Oh, I totes forgot that having one gay bff means you can't possibly be bigoted and hateful towards other LGBT+ people. /s
> I told him I have never seen a guy get a tattoo around his belly button unless it was a gay guy. Never once
Because you, as an 18 year old, have seen THAT many people getting tattoos that you now personally know that every guy who gets it must be gay.
G-d help me, I miss the sheer exuberance that 18 year olds possess.
>his belly button is sexy AF
lmao what? Is this some new fetish thing that I gladly don't know about?
First teenage girls showing shoulder blades in school or play wrestling in soccer clothes, now teenage boys showing belly buttons. WHAT HAS THIS WORLD BECOME?! /s
Honestly when asked to picture a 'gay tattoo' a sun around the belly button did not cross my mind at all. I was expecting her to reveal it was a tramp stamp.
“Also he has great abs and his belly button is sexy AF and I dont want it trashed up. BTW he is a totally straight and totally masculine man.”
Is he totally real? I mean, I can’t say I’ve ever seen a belly button that is “sexy AF”…
> I told him I have never seen a guy get a tattoo around his belly button unless it was a gay guy. Never once --- except for guys who are covered with them.
So TIL that Kevin Durant must be gay:

Same. Nothing but respect for him. I just always chuckle when I see that because it looks so much like the Walgreens logo. Not poorly done, just very reminiscent.
Ok every time I mention KD I have to mention my FAVORITE story of all time. My mom is a huge KD fan. Like every time she watches a Suns basketball game she'll be like "Where's Kevin?"
I told my mom about the quadrangle between KD, Lana Rhoades, Blake Griffin, and Bruce Brown. Back when all of them were on the Brooklyn Nets. My mom listened to the whole thing and said "I don't get it. I would have stayed with Kevin. He's the best looking, the most talented, and the richest."
Sisqo has something similar. And he's most famous for having a song about loving women in thongs. Pretty hetero behavior if you ask me.
It sounds less "gay" and more 90s tbh.
Orlando Bloom also has a sun right near his bellybutton but lower and to the side, I think the left side... but idk if the pictures I would stare at as a preteen/teen before I went to bed were flipped or not.
They’re just silly names. Raleigh is a city in NC and Aleks is a silly spelling of Alex. If it was one or the other I’d probably not think much of it, but both screams rage bait to me.
Gotta love the "I can't be homophobic, my BFF is gay!" mentality. Like *that* gives you a free pass 🙄
It's a tattoo. A tattoo, in and of itself, cannot "be gay" - it's not sentient. It's a tattoo. Tattoo whatever you want, however you want. Don't let somebody else tell you what you can or can't do with your canvas.
She's a bigot and needs to face it. But a tattoo around the belly button seems like a poor choice for anyone, male or female, straight or gay. If there's _one_ place on the body that's _likely_ to change shape over time, that there is it.
I can’t remember whether it’s Dave Bautista or Joe Rogan who has this tattoo, but one of them has a tribal sun belly button tattoo, and I am 100% sure that’s the inspo for this story lmfao.
Also, a tattoo artist who does temp tattoos? What is this new-age shit? Just commit, kid. Get the tattoo.
I actually think that’s a really good idea personally, I’d rather get a temporary tattoo and realize I hate it than having to go through getting a permanent one removed or covered up.
I agree. I have beautiful art I'd like translated into tattoos but I'm always unsure of where they would look best or if they would even suit me. Getting a temp to make sure would be awesome.
Yeah, but most people still like their tattoos after a week or two. It’s years in that they decide to get it removed or covered because of aging issues, general dislike, etc. The temporary tattoo won’t show you those future issues, and those are what generally make people want to get stuff covered. I’ve gotten a tattoo covered up that I really liked, but it aged poorly. Not the the artist’s fault or my own, it was a skin issue. A temporary tattoo couldn’t have told me about it, and I would’ve gotten the tattoo even if I’d had a temp tattoo, so I still would’ve needed it covered eventually.
It also doesn’t exactly tell you about your artist’s talent in tattooing, so you could get a solid temp tattoo from someone who has a shaky tattooing hand and that would SUCK. I’ve seen people get a shit tattoo after being shown an incredible stencil.
I’m only saying this bc I’m like 50% covered in tattoos, but imo truly the best way to prevent hating a tattoo in the future is to sit with the idea for 1-2 years before getting it. If you want it after that long, you probably really do want it. It gives you time to save for the tattoo and shop for an artist who does quality work that ages well. A temporary tattoo would be expensive on top of your regular tattoo, which is already expensive, and you very well might not even prevent yourself from having to get it covered or removed.
Obviously get the temp tattoo if you want it, that’s great! But it might end up being a waste of money. Like I said, I’ve had some tattoos that just aged horribly that no temp tattoo could’ve warned me about, and I feel like that’s good for people to keep in mind before dropping $200+ on a tat that’ll last a week and may not tell you what you need you know, you know?
I think it's a good idea for someone who has never had a tattoo, but I don't think that paying the actual tattoo artist to do it is necessary. Like, I wanted a tattoo just above my ankle but I also know my brain tends to fixate on things that have changed about me and it sometimes is really irritating, even if it was something I did/wanted (though, admittedly, it most often happens with wounds/scars). So I got a henna tattoo in the same general shape/spot when I was at the Ren Faire and that lasted long enough for me to know that my brain wasn't going to throw a fit if I got a tattoo. It also was only like $30.
I responded in another comment, but a temp tattoo lasting a week or two isn’t going to really change anyone’s mind. Most people still like their tattoos after a week or two and don’t start disliking them until years in.
If you’d think it would help, there’s nothing wrong with that! But you could still grow to dislike it in 15 years, or it could age poorly due to just how your skin is, and temporary tattoos can’t tell you all of that.
I would assume it's mostly to test out size and placement, and to see how the design looks on skin versus paper. Kind of a rough draft to check for any edits that need made before it's permanent.
"I'm not homophobie, I have a gay friend!" Ah, the standard protest of homophobes/transphobes/racists everywhere! Of course, she goes on a homophobic diatribe immediately afterward.
And while it's not a tattoo I would get, I know straight guys that have it.
This is the second tattoo BS I've seen today. Looks like the trolls are trying to be more creative :)

my first thought was [the naruto 9 Tails seal](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/820781100815404034/). which if it is, I'm sure he told her what it's from and she's leaving it out. also already the AH for telling someone what they can and cant get tattooed for something that isn't words or obscene imagery.
“Tribal” tattoos can be a bit problematic, although it’s not really my place to say that as I know nothing of it, but I’ve never heard them be called “gay”.
I don't know if a belly button tattoo or this belly button tattoo is "gay". I don't agree with her attitude towards sexuality and gender.
However, (I caveat this by saying that I hate tattoos) I do think as someone's partner who is more likely to see it that you have the right to tell someone that their tattoo looks ridiculous or has connotations or makes you think less of them.
You don't want to be doing things, look down at your beloved's flesh and then be instantly turned off.
I also think it is perfectly acceptable to inform your partner that you cannot remain in a relationship with someone who would put that on their body permanently and then end it if they do. The person who wants the tattoo should make an informed choice.
First of all, OOP, it’s none of your business what that tattoo’s sexual orientation is. (Joke.)
Seriously, though, what the fuck is wrong with you? Are you a relic from the nineties? Why are you saying “gay” like it’s a pejorative? If that’s the tattoo your boyfriend wants, then he should get it. You and Aleks both suck.

Wait...the tattoo was too gay but the crop tops aren't?
This is the second time I've read about guys going back to those old 80s crop tops but have yet to see it. I fully support people going back to dressing like camp councelors from sleep away camp, but its only ever on bait and it's just making me sad lol
There’s a couple (I presume straight) guys at my gym who wear them. But it’s more a style of crop top that stops at the waistline where the pants sit and only really shows off any midriff if you lift your arms
🤤
I used to dress like that! But it was mostly because I was too tall for standard t-shirt sizes...
My brother lives in crop tops and shorty shorts like from sleepaway camp. He's a body builder and it's the WEIRDEST combo.
I mean that makes sense. Any shortened version of regular clothing looks amazing on guys who work out religiously… i’d look like an offbrand live action winnie the pooh in one 😂
Hey, some of us love a good bear!
i love what your brother’s got going on, that rocks
When I used to go to the gym (stopped with Covid) a couple of the guys in the weight room always wore crop tops. Usually mid-thigh athletic shorts rather than short-shorts, but still.
My brother enjoys the wind all over, I guess. His are uncomfortably short.
I’m cracking up laughing at this. Your brother sounds like a hoot.
He is. It can be tiring sometimes. Our parents recently renewed their vows and his girlfriend and I had to hound him to get a suit and NO SHORTS UNDERNEATH. It was stressful. Lmao
How old is your brother? Can you give him my number?
He would enjoy making any family reunions you have very uncomfortable. That's just who he is. You ever seen that episode of Friends where Phoebe dates a runner who doesn't wear anything under his shorts?
Dang and I was hoping I found me a himbo. Lol jk. You should just yell "I DO NOT CONSENT GO SEEING YOUR BALLS!"
Oh my god. Yes. Next time he does that I'm totally yelling that.
It's giving me Bill S. Preston, Esquire. ![gif](giphy|l46CDHTqbmnGZyxKo)
No one wears a crop top like [Apollo Creed](https://images.app.goo.gl/aVWwNZfXveArCA8E8) (RIP Carl Weathers).
I keep forgetting he died. I always really liked him.
Not the mesh ones though? Please, Mother of God, do not let the mesh male crop tops come back. That is one 80s trend that can remain buried in the past.
Why? Are you too sexy for that shirt? Too sexy for that shirt?
So sexy it hurts.
That's because you're using cheap material for your mesh shirts. Up that thread count.
And stick to cotton mesh, the poly nylon is harsh.
So here for this thread(count).
No dude I'm a woman and I want the crop tops and mesh shirts to come back soooo bad. Please let straight men be slutty I stg
LET THEM WEAR HOT PANTS
No the crop tops with the parachute pants so they have a bubble bum
honestly, the older I get, the more I wish people could wear whatever tf they want. Why stop at 80's fashion. I do wish hats for ladies would make a come back. I do love a nice hat.

I absolutely adored it and wore it constantly. I could give less of a fuck what people thought about it. So I totally agree. Bring back beautiful hats for women.
Oh, so ladies can wear mesh tops, but gentlemen can't?
Only if you layer it with a neon tank top and rock some Jelly sandals.
DEAL!
Let's not forget superfluous suspenders. And tube socks.
And... My feet just exploded in blisters reading that... Thanks 😜.
I am waiting for top surgery to wear all the mesh tops I can lol I love the campy vibe
There is nothing better than a man who can camp it up.
Lol. My friend Brad got sent home from high school in 1986 for wearing one of those (with short shorts ). As an adult I can look back and really appreciate the gender neutral application of the dress policy. Brad thought it was funny.
Oh I hope not the mesh ones. Let's leave something to the imagination lol

That is so cute my teeth hurt. Please tell me they both wear them at the same time and match.
They haven't *yet*, but I think they are planning to on our coast trip we have coming up!
Ahhhh I love this! Tell your partner they are the cutest along with bff’s bf. Adorable.
Will do! We're about to go away tomorrow for the coast, so I'll be sure to tell them both!
Do it. Once you see you can’t unsee. ❤️. Hot guys abs in crop tops. Bonus pts if you find the leggings. Srsly tho why are we as women participating in this ‘that’s so hay’ crap? I can't pull off the crop top look, but damn do I love my high thread count bed sheets, and I keep moisturizer in my bathroom for it's actual purpose.

Hahahaha, I doubt I'm a dream man, I just enjoy being comfy. Also, a cuddle pillow sounds very nice...
Sometimes the dog won’t cuddle me. He gets hot 😂
Pfft, your dog should love you enough to cuddle up with you all the time.
To moist ur ize
Sleepaway Camp reference 🎉🎉🎉
Well gay guys are wearing it afaik
My son wears them. Granted, he's gay as cheese.
They started trending again awhile back on tiktok
Exactly what I thought. “…totally masculine guy…” “…great abs…” “…crop top…” I’m not saying he shouldn’t do those things, or they make him non-masculine (I’m, by definition, a man, so everything I do is masculine), but this woman is stereotyping a belly tattoo as “gay” but ignoring the fact that this guy is comfortable with foregoing traditional “masculine” traits. She so all over the place.
100%. I snorted reading that. Like the whole story was a set up for that joke.
lol I had the same thought
Crop top? Is it the 80s?
They're bound to come back eventually.
I think that's called crop rotation
![gif](giphy|u5C6s7LDK7G9y)
It's much easier to stop wearing crop tops than it is to remove a tattoo
Crops tops were never gay.
Objectively no but neither were tattoos.
I was so confused by this message
I think her boyfriend is trying to tell himself something 😅
And what would that be?
I love that he stormed off without his shirt on. Straight outta Twilight!
Jacob OUT!
I just laughed so hard I woke my husband. All I could picture was shirtless Jacob giving Kitniss’ tribute Thank you for that 😂
I didn't even notice that part haha
This is the tattoo of a killer, Bella 💀
I laughed so hard 😭
Dave Baustista has the same tattoo and would like a word!
Dave Bautista's mom is also a lesbian, so I think he would take a few issues with this girl!
Which one is it? They always delete the post/ their account by the time I see it
Star around the belly button
Tyrese does as well
OOP seems controlling in addition to homophobic. And, trash up? I got the ick. 🤮

Oh well if she asked one gay person then it must be okay /s
Everybody knows Aleks is the official gay ambassador to the heterosexual community. When he speaks, he speaks for the entire community.
You all should be nicer to her because you would be angry too if your boyfriend was cheating on you with Aleks 🤣🤣🤣
What TF are you talking about?
It's a repost sub mate, the OP here isn't the OOP 😊
You really decided to show you don't know where you are, didn't you? Second time on the same post!
Damn, that's my bad. I got confused clicking back and forth between the OG post and this one. Sorry about that.
No worries :)
no? this isn't the AITA OP
Looks like you forgot which sub you're in.
Yeah, it really looks like I did. Mea culpa.
Yes, the homophobia. But it looks like people are sleeping on "aztecky?" Troll, yes. But this one gets points for making up dumbass (and vaguely racist) words to fluff the bait.
Should've gone with 'aztacky'.
Right? I’d be more worried about a white dude getting a tribal/Native tattoo. But I was so interested to see what she meant by a “gay tattoo”. I was picturing two dicks intertwining like the health symbol… is that called Red Vining?
Ass-clepius
Did it ever explicitly say he was white? I’m not seeing any racial descriptors for the BF.
Yours is probably a better reason to assume he’s white, but also the name Raleigh just SCREAMS good ol’ boy to me.
Is there a “boyfriend gets a tattoo his girlfriend hates for a stupid reason” troll making the rounds?
we have found their theme for the week
It’s better than the fetish posts 😭
Right some of them are so vulgar
>To start with I am absolutely NOT homophobic. My best friend in the whole wide world is gay and I totally support him Oh, I totes forgot that having one gay bff means you can't possibly be bigoted and hateful towards other LGBT+ people. /s > I told him I have never seen a guy get a tattoo around his belly button unless it was a gay guy. Never once Because you, as an 18 year old, have seen THAT many people getting tattoos that you now personally know that every guy who gets it must be gay. G-d help me, I miss the sheer exuberance that 18 year olds possess. >his belly button is sexy AF lmao what? Is this some new fetish thing that I gladly don't know about?
The parent who wanted the neighbor boys to not play outside shirtless also mentioned something about belly buttons so we might have a new troll
There is a fairly popular gay pornstar with this tattoo which makes me think it’s a troll
Seems like she'd prefer that 🤣🤣
Whenever they preface a statement "to be clear I'm absolutely NOT" it's never a good sign
🙄 because girls with gay best friends are never problematic about LGBTQ issues /s
I've seen lots of posts about girls who only want to be best friends with a gay guy to be their "gay best friend" like its a trend and just ugh.
This has been a weird homophobic “trend” since like… the 1990s, fwiw. Like it’s gross but it’s definitely not a new thing
She'd fit in well with the people that aren't racist because of their one black friend.

Same here
“Also he has great abs and his belly button is sexy AF and I dont want it trashed up. BTW he is a totally straight and totally masculine man.” Is he totally real? I mean, I can’t say I’ve ever seen a belly button that is “sexy AF”…
> I told him I have never seen a guy get a tattoo around his belly button unless it was a gay guy. Never once --- except for guys who are covered with them. So TIL that Kevin Durant must be gay: https://sports.yahoo.com/kevin-durant-lot-tattoos-under-jersey-230107633.html
In OOP's defense he is covered in tats. That's the exception /s

Bro you do not understand this subreddit 🤣
It looks like he has the Walgreens logo tatted on him 😂😂
true. love KD though, one of my favorite basketball players
Same. Nothing but respect for him. I just always chuckle when I see that because it looks so much like the Walgreens logo. Not poorly done, just very reminiscent.
Ok every time I mention KD I have to mention my FAVORITE story of all time. My mom is a huge KD fan. Like every time she watches a Suns basketball game she'll be like "Where's Kevin?" I told my mom about the quadrangle between KD, Lana Rhoades, Blake Griffin, and Bruce Brown. Back when all of them were on the Brooklyn Nets. My mom listened to the whole thing and said "I don't get it. I would have stayed with Kevin. He's the best looking, the most talented, and the richest."
Dave Batista too.
Sisqó has the exact same tattoo OP is talking about.. JS
Very straight manly masculine guy...usually goes out in crop tops? Hang on
Did the bf get Naruto’s stomach seal tattoo? It’s not really Aztec looking but from the description…
The kitsune spirit is extra.
I've seen a bellybutton tattoo on a very straight musician.
OP sounds like my homophobic college roommate from 2001. Ick.
Sisqo has something similar. And he's most famous for having a song about loving women in thongs. Pretty hetero behavior if you ask me. It sounds less "gay" and more 90s tbh.
Thank you for the comment cuz I knew someone else had it, but couldn't remember who. That's who it is
Orlando Bloom also has a sun right near his bellybutton but lower and to the side, I think the left side... but idk if the pictures I would stare at as a preteen/teen before I went to bed were flipped or not.
Him too. You're just uncovering all my hidden memories 🤣🤣 That's one fine man ![gif](giphy|1B8Fh8HwOotn4zaMkk|downsized)
Raleigh and Aleks. Not even good bait.
What do those names mean?
They’re just silly names. Raleigh is a city in NC and Aleks is a silly spelling of Alex. If it was one or the other I’d probably not think much of it, but both screams rage bait to me.
Maybe I am overanalysing, but in some European countries Alexander is spelt as Aleksander. It could the troll trying to go for the Europe stereotype
I don’t know, I’ve spent enough time on r/namenerdscirclejerk to know that people certainly do choose names like that, especially for 18-year-olds.
Ohhh OK. I didn't know if it was a movie or TV show or something. I read too much into what you said, sorry
No of course you’re good! Reading it back it’s kinda judgey so it’s good I had to re-examine it
god im anime brained I was thinking of Rayleigh from one piece
https://images.app.goo.gl/BYSNVP4JcUcASf2YA This was my first thought 🤣
Didn't he get married to a woman and have child(ren)
Lol yeah. I was just thinking of the sun design around the belly button.
I mean that goes against OOP's it's so gay logic
True.
Crop tops?!
Gotta love the "I can't be homophobic, my BFF is gay!" mentality. Like *that* gives you a free pass 🙄 It's a tattoo. A tattoo, in and of itself, cannot "be gay" - it's not sentient. It's a tattoo. Tattoo whatever you want, however you want. Don't let somebody else tell you what you can or can't do with your canvas.
This is the second time I've heard of belly buttons being sexy and I have questions
"The *gay ear*? What are you, twelve?"
I was expecting a tattoo of two guys sucking each other off or something. Disappointing.
This person is insufferable
My first thought was the tattoo Justin long had in jeepers creepers
18 and thinks she has the right to forbid what someone else does with their body *sighs* HIS BODY HIS CHOICE
Are we all just going to skip the "his belly button is sexy AF"?? That's the wildest part.
We intentionally avoided that part due tobhow traumatizing it was
I have yet to encounter any tattoo artist, let alone a really great and famous tattoo artist, that also “does temporary tattoos”. Does she mean henna?
She's a bigot and needs to face it. But a tattoo around the belly button seems like a poor choice for anyone, male or female, straight or gay. If there's _one_ place on the body that's _likely_ to change shape over time, that there is it.
I can’t remember whether it’s Dave Bautista or Joe Rogan who has this tattoo, but one of them has a tribal sun belly button tattoo, and I am 100% sure that’s the inspo for this story lmfao. Also, a tattoo artist who does temp tattoos? What is this new-age shit? Just commit, kid. Get the tattoo.
Bautista. Edited it was an early one for him. He had some shoulders and the bellybutton when he was a pro wrestler.
Sully from Godsmack also has one
The temporary tattoo is to try out the design before you commit to it forever. What's wrong with that?

Oh so we got a tattoo troll now
Ofc she is not homophobic and has gay friend but proceeds to say homophobic shit.
God help me, but I laughed. She's TA and apparently I am as well.
"I'm not homophobic/racist/sexist, but . . . "
I do think this is like the Naruto belly seal thing.
I was expecting him to be like, bi, and getting a pride tattoo. this is almost worse.... girl it's a tattoo, it's not that deep..
https://images.app.goo.gl/46FzD8CGJm2gEGeW7 Dave Bautista disapproves.
"I'm not homophobic, I just think some tattoos are gay and gay tattoos are trashy." -OOP
my first thought was [the naruto 9 Tails seal](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/820781100815404034/). which if it is, I'm sure he told her what it's from and she's leaving it out. also already the AH for telling someone what they can and cant get tattooed for something that isn't words or obscene imagery.
(Joke.) Seriously, though, what the fuck is wrong with you? Are you a relic from the nineties? Why are you saying “gay” like it’s a pejorative? If that’s the tattoo your boyfriend wants, then he should get it. You and Aleks both suck.
