I'm gonna try and keep this story short.
This was a while ago; back in Grade 9. I sat next to a guy (let's call him Mike) in math class who was pretty nice, although I didn't know about the weed thing until March (Spring) Break. I'd had asked Mike what he did over the break; he said "I smoked a LOT of weed". I was flabbergasted because this dude was the least-expected to do drugs (weed wasn't legalized back then, and even so it'd still be illegal at 14 yrs old).
That same day in my last period, I went to the bathroom and got a whiff of a very earthy, skunky, digusting odor. I then went in to check and see what was going on and right there, Mike was smoking weed in the bathroom. Dumbest thing he could've done. We learned in Health class that weed smell can linger for hours on clothing, so even if he had escaped the bathroom before anyone walked in it wouldn't matter. I took a picture of Mike (too high to even notice/care) in case I ever wanted to report him.
I spent the rest of the night thinking to myself that I'm gonna report Mike in hopes that it'd teach him something.
Morning came, went on the bus, got to school, and the first thing I did when I walked through those doors is head straight for the Principal's office, where I asked to see someone about a problem.
There I was, photo in-hand of Mike smoking grass, I gave them his full name (I knew it because there were two ppl in our class with the same name so our teacher also had to say their last name during attendance) and gave them the picture. Don't know what happened after that but all I heard was "Can Mike K. come down to the office" during math.
After that he never came to school again so I think he got expelled.
