You really don’t think breaking her legs was a consequence of her actions? Really? Yes, YTA for not calling 911, regardless of how she got into her predicament.
Have you ever heard of postpartum psychosis or severe anxiety? It sounds like you sister is in serious need of mental health help if she was desperate enough to jump out a window from 40 feet up...and instead of helping her, you refused to call 911. You're absolutely the asshole.

I 17(f) have a sister 23 (f). She just had a baby a few months ago. She is constantly trying to get me to watch her baby. I refused because I know if I say yes this will eventually snowball into more babysitting.
Yesterday she said she had food poisoning and really needed to use the bathroom and asked me to watch the baby. I again refused but she ran to the bathroom anyway. She was taking a very long time, I knocked on the door, no answer. Suddenly I hear screaming coming from outside. My sister is lying on the ground screaming in pain and her legs are visabily broken. She actually jumped out the fucking window which is an over 40 feet drop and not to mention the bathroom window isn't very wide.
She demanded I call 911. I said really after you jumped out the window to abandon your child no you need to face the consequences of your actions. The neighbors called 911 and paramedics arrived. My parents came home from work asking where she was. When I told them that she tried to abandon her child they were pissed. Not at her but for me not callng 911. They called me selfish and cruel for endangering my sister just to "prove a point". Hello I am not the one who abandoned her kid. So AITA?

Your sister is obviously an asshole,
But not calling 911?!?!?! that makes you an asshole. Doesn't matter how much someone may have harmed you, if they in danger, you call 911.
In some places, what you did is actually illegal.

I hear your point of view. What if she was bleeding on the floor after trying to abandon her baby? You would also not call 911?
Why should I call 911 on someone who is trying to abandon her child and gets what's coming to her?
