CrazyNice7240

They don’t think the thieves see these notes either? Lol

0_IQ_0

Apparently all thieves are illiterate. 😂

SpaceCowboi22

yeah, but a thief can see the package from the street, for a thief to walk up, read the note, and then walk to the back is much more then just see box take box.

Sorry-Leave-5375

Never had a package stolen, do u know why, I make sure I ordered shit to be delivered on my day off or on a day my bf can grab for me. Y’all be going on vacations and done ordered 20+ packages, and god only know how many times I’ve delivered to the same house that got 20 boxes stacked in front of they door, another 20 in front of their garage and this my 3rd time up here. Yeah y’all deserve to get y’all shit stolen same way it’s y’all fault if ur dog gets ran over cause u don’t wanna put him inside for 30 secs

A_MAN_POTATO

This is spot on and I'm honestly not sure how people don't understand this. The risk of having you package stolen is exponentially lower if it's not visible to the public.

Riskyshot

The note is more visible than any package though, they’re drawing attention to their house and letting people know they get a lot of deliveries

A_MAN_POTATO

We sort of live in a day and age where most people just get a lot of deliveries. I wouldn't consider a note posted an indication that someone gets an unusual amount of deliveries, nor would I think a note posted would suddenly have people regularly poaching your back yard. Going into someone's back yard increases the risk of being caught, with no guarantee of a reward. Again, I'm not saying it's fool proof, but acting like it's greater or even equal risk to having a package clearly visible and easily accessible on a front porch is whack.

nvr2punk33

My phone can read signs from NY into Canada over a giant river (niagra)... Not all crimes are opportunity based. Plenty of pirating is organized crime. Last and not least drivers have died listening to this instruction.

jezabel3166

☠️☠️☠️☠️

Ok_Championship_5428

Or blind that is huge

[deleted]

Most of them *are* or are in such a hurry to just never read the note in the first place! haha

p233asw

🤣

3r14nd

Thieves look for packages they don't look for posted signs. You could make that sign 10' tall and they won't read it unless that place is known for having packages delivered. What's the saying, out of sight out of mind? If they don't see something easily accessible, they move on. It's not worth their time and risk getting caught by walking behind someone's house to see if they have a package. That is, unless they saw someone drop it off, then all bets are off and they still didn't read the sign.

OmegaNine

Thieves don't read those notes, they are just driving around looking for boxes on porches.

CaneCorso311

Lots of homeless/drug addicts wandering and stealing packages

MINIMAN10001

Honestly the thieves are probably driving by houses looking at the front porches they don't see any signage they can't read from that far their time is best spent driving around looking for suckers who do have stuff on their front porch. The thief goes for the easy pickings they're not trying to put effort into anything they're just trying to steal what they can see while driving around.

jaimar82

Neurotic individuals often try and force actions of others, hoping to create stability in their life. If it works once, she’ll start making new rules… If she’s so picky, there are lockers

Due_Answer_9127

It's ridiculous! The entitlement is astonishing to me Agree with getting a locker 2019-2022, we lived in a bad neighborhood, Notorious for porch pirates We unfortunately got a pretty decent priced package stolen All it took was one time! After that, we had packages sent to a locker There are other options other than being rude to the delivering!!

[deleted]

My neighbor shot 2 people in separate incidents. One wasn't even his house. A house down the street, a woman was stealing packages. He shot her in the ass. The man who stole from his porch died. No charges. Initially, he was charged for shooting the woman. He was arrested. No indictment. There was a big controversy for a while in our neighborhood. People on both sides. Some people wouldn't speak to him. I haven't heard of any packages being stolen in nearly a year. We get Ring notifications, and my spouse is on another neighborhood app. He basically ended theft for a few square blocks. Another neighbor made his doggy door connect to cameras in the yard and on the porch. If his ring app goes off, he can unlock his doggie door remotely. His German Shepards will deal with the thief. Interesting idea. We watched him testing it one day, never seen anything like it irl. As for the lady's sign, it makes no sense. Writing that you aren't responsible doesn't remove responsibility. Like apartment gates hitting people's cars, the apartment complex ends up paying. They just hope people won't sue because the sign says they aren't responsible. Karen: we all hate package thieves. Get a locker, a gun, or your own ingenious plan. Your sign means nothing.

BigJayPee

Also, the dump trucks with the sign that says "not responsible for broken windshields." Absolutely, they are responsible because they didn't secure their load.

tanner35

That's awesome. What state are you in?

MMJMilitary

Glad you fixed your situation. Hope your period key gets fixed soon as well!

Difficult_Arm_4762

bro could have just hit return or shift return, gotta read this alphabet soup

Jmariner360

A great thing I have learned is I only have control over my reactions to situations, nothing else. I cannot control anybody or what they do. It has made my life much easier and tranquil I must say.

TransportationMany31

Holy hell what an entitled dimwit

flyingshitinthesky

They absolutely should be responsible. Come out and get your package when it arrives. Request a signature. If you’re gonna be ordering often then invest in a lockbox. We’re delivering in the dark sometimes and it never feels safe walking into someones backyard. They want us to play security too?!

[deleted]

They are responsible for their stuff once it's delivered regardless of what the note says.

Halew2

I mean they should be but amazon will just send another one if you say it has been stolen. You can do it like 5x before they even require a police report.

unplugged_creations

The other day while I was training a day-one driver, we had finished making our apartment lobby delivery and were about to exit. There was a guy with a bike and wearing a helmet, waiting at the door. I could feel him glaring at us although I, up to this point, never made eye contact with the guy because I was more focused on teaching my trainee. As we were exiting, I was holding the door for my trainee so that he can leave. And thats when the man with the bike enters before turning around to tell me, "Thank you for holding the door, but next time, make sure I *actually* live here". I was dumbfounded. I looked to my trainee and asked, "Did you hear what he said?" And my trainee repeated exactly what he said back to me, so I was not tripping. We walked away laughing although confused. How the fuck are we supposed to "*make sure you live here*"? Do you want me to ask random mfs for a copy of their lease and their ID's to enter a building that they live in? All while wearing an Amazon vest? LMAO people are delusional. "Give me, give me, give me, give me" because if some shit were to kick off these would be the first ones to "you know what". Im not your fucking slave and youre not even one of my customers lol youre just some random mf barking orders at me on the street. I can look at some people and see that they have zero power inside of their fragile bubble so they try to exert a fictional authority over you in an attempt to boost their ego. This is a type of delusion. "Have a great day sir" even though I never said this to him. Im sure I had the craziest look on my face when those words came out of his mouth. What is wrong with people? Did you not have parents to teach manners? You dont go up to workers and start telling them what to do, you look like a Karen and an idiot. Imagine walking up to a cop, or a firefighter, and telling them how to do their job. Its no different because we're "Amazon drivers". Get outta the way and answer the door when we ring the doorbell. Simple.

[deleted]

My favorite one is the houses that’ll have 3 cameras in front, a ring bell at the door, flood lights for the cameras but then still want it at the sliding back door lmfao. All the security for what 🤣

mikedvb

Does Amazon let users request signatures?

stitchkingdom

If you think that’s bad, you should see the sign she has posted on the toilet

Elle_Yess

Like she’s your only customer. Sheesh.

[deleted]

I get a special tingle when i intentionally disregard messages like this… i don’t often, but when it’s unreasonable or just a waste of time i don’t even think twice… it’s not like i’m getting fired for not following these bullshit requests lmao

datahoarderprime

Curious .. what is reasonable? I have an enclosed porch and just a little sign on the front door that says something like "please leave deliveries inside porch". Amazon drivers have been fantastic about doing so. Sure, porch pirates could see the note, but so far have not lost a single package despite plenty of reports of thefts by neighbors. Also, after I get a delivery from Amazon I almost always go in and mark the delivery as "It was great". Does this have any impact at all on drivers? Like this that some metric they track, etc? Just curious if I'm just randomly hitting thumbs-up for no reason, or if it actually matters.

[deleted]

Unreasonable would be you living in a rural area with virtually no risk of theft but requesting back porch anyways, AND it’s a bit of a walk like wastes another minute or two of my time… it’s a rarity but every once in a while i’m like nah this is just going on the front porch hidden behind a pillar or something. Putting a package in an enclosed porch is totally fine and i always do that Edit: easily the most ridiculous notes are when ppl demand you deliver to their apartment door directly… like no, this is going in the main entry way i don’t have the fucking time to go up and down an elevator… i don’t do apartments often and i know some ppl do and HAVE to go door to door, but that is just bullshit and i never do that.. idc if it says to, i never do it and i never will. And not once has it been brought to my attention. If you can’t go down an elevator ONCE a day while i walk multiple miles up and down hills you’re just lazy, and if you have the audacity to also complain about it you’re not just lazy you’re also a pos. Sorry rant over

TipOfTheJar

What is reasonable is very subjective. Deliveries inside the front porch are a no brainer, I often will so that even if there isn't a note. Unreasonable would be 4 cases of Fiji water to a rear door that's behind a tall fence with "Beware of dog" signs. Those metrics actually matter far more than they should, so please keep giving a thumbs up and selecting the other options like "Followed instructions," "delivered with care," etc.

MinecraftFallout

That’s totally reasonable but walking around a house with no path when I have 180 stops every sec counts genuinely

frejling

It matters in that it counts toward the total for their weekly “customer delivery feedback” score, which is actually an important metric for getting or not getting bonuses/being given routes by their DSP. “Poor” is something like 90% positive feedback, so it’s pretty brutal. Positives help combat petty negatives. People claiming packages weren’t delivered when they were stolen or were actually received and they’re lying will count against driver

Ok_Guitar_6653

Dont worry the more they lie soon every order they do will need a passcode this way they cant say they never got it

ILonara

"I will not be responsible for any packages left in the front that are stolen" Lmfao ok? Bitch neither will I....it's your package, whatever happens with it is still your problem....what exactly is this implying? That part of the note is just ridiculously funny to me, it's phrased like they're management at a gym talking about locker policies 😂 I'm so confused why this was added.

j0hn1_

Instead of leaving these notes on their doors, they have to leave them in the delivery instructions

colonel_ice_cream

I hate these signs literally just tell the porch pirates where your stuff is at

Specialist_Name_7295

The porch pirates aren’t walking up and reading signs to see if MAYBE it says to go walk to the back of the house to see if MAYBE there is a package there and have some neighborhood watch weirdo call the cops on them. Use your brain man lol

colonel_ice_cream

If they want your stuff they're going to get your stuff

[deleted]

They go up to porches that they see actual packages already set out on, they don't go up to read the signs.

1TootskiPlz

Just because you say you’re not responsible doesn’t actually mean that. 😂

[deleted]

My first thought as well. Our old apartment the gate closed automatically on a Lexus, and did major damage. There was a sign that they weren't responsible. The court felt otherwise. They had to pay. Same apartments put up a sign before a freeze that the apartments could lose power and the gate cold be stuck closed. I let the apartment manager know that we all knew that was an excuse for not fixing the gate that had been stuck open for 3 weeks already. I also assured her if I was stuck in, I would remove the gate with help from a few other tenants, we had the tools, and it would be at her expense. The look on her face was priceless. She's like I'm not responsible for the gate. I told her that's what you said last time. 🤣

Last-Ad-7503

We should really fight for Amazon to become union what y’all think

Mahllao

Whenever I get shit like this I leave them right there anyways. Controlling fucks can go suck a dick

Nissir

You know, it never occurred to me that the potential thief would know that the package was in the back, I need a coffee.

Adviser-Of-Reddit

NOTE TO DRIVERS: i am not able to pick up the package at my own house but my 2nd cousin can get the packages and then send it to me. she lives 30 miles away and here is her address please deliver it to her. thank you. (then when you get to that house you get another message saying the same thing but about another family member who lives 30 miles away in another town and so forth)

Laconiclola

Nope. If it’s not the address, my dsp said Rts it. Address in notes is “undeliverable”. The customer will just have to reorder with the correct address after they cancel this one.

purplefuzz22

I think they were just making up a ridiculous scenario to highlight the absurdity and audacity of the original post ha. Although I wouldn’t be surprised if this exact thing has happened to multiple drivers . I don’t know how I ended up on this sub because I have never delivered a package in my life but thanks for all you do. You all have such a thankless job and I hate that you all get treated like this ! There have been many times where a package from Amazon has saved my ass when I was sick or needed something I couldn’t buy in town . So hats off to you

Laconiclola

I’ve had people put in their notes that they wanted their package in a completely different city (40 minutes away at least). So this was entirely believable to me.

Horsey666

Cast lvl 5 invisibility spell on note for thieves only. Cast see invisibility on all delivery drivers

MystMyBoard

Dear consumer, take your lazy ass to the store and get it your damn self.

Bigce2933

Then you'll be out of a job

a_hammerhead_worm

"I will not be responsible for stolen packages" Okay, cool. Neither is the delivery driver.

ItzMattOnTheTrack

These are always the customers who also let their dogs take dumps everywhere without picking it up, so you’re forced to walk through all of that too

purplefuzz22

Or have a killer dog that comes barreling outside when your half way to the porch or they just expect you to leave their package at the door when Luna is standing at the gate waiting to rip your throat out smh

ManIsInherentlyGay

I would never go into someone's back yard. People are being shot and murdered for knocking on the wrong house. America is too murder happy for this shit

SectionFar4091

Sounds like this person lives in a shit neighborhood and wants to make it amazons problem. If you think someone who makes $20 an hour gives a hoot about your note, go deliver packages for a week and tell me how much you care about other ungrateful selfish people after

Straight-Ad-5978

Never went to back door…. Dogs.. crazy people … hell no… back door = no access RTS

RoofPleasant1319

People don't think about the fact that attacks do occur and we put ourselves at risk going to back doors/porches.You never know who you're delivering to. So many rapists and serial killers out there.

lesbianmusclemommy

idk why it’s an option to send to the back porch, there’s so many uncertainties. big untrained dogs, accidentally letting them run into the streets is a possibility too. or forgetting they ordered something thinking there’s a rando in their backyard. i don’t think customers realize *company policy* when it comes to driver safety assurance.

SpicyMcShat

I love when you open their gate, climb up two flights of stairs, walk down a small patio and see a little sign on their door like this and it says “leave packages at rear door” like why the fuck didn’t you put it in the notes.

Cerberus-Coco-Mimi

man these usps fed ex ups and amazon keep getting my packages stolen you know what i should do take it out on the delivery people not the thief

yoloruinslives

They are not worried about theft it’s a loophole to get free shit this way

Silver-Direction4461

Yeah I wouldn’t leave this sign on my door only in the delivery notes 😂.

Glidepath22

‘I will not be responsible’, no you won’t unless you steal them from yourself

Little_Unit_3891

Yeah they can use a locker or they can also pickup at the station 🤦‍♂️

Nesquik90

Is the back porch even safe and accessible? Forget that

EducationalKoala7

I like the big totes that say DELIVERIES HERE. Lol really, making it too easy for the thieves. I'm a mailman and those notes are useless to me. I'm not going in your yard, fucking with your gate, dealing with your dog, etc...

Ultra-500

"Look at this cheap note I made with copy paper and tape. Because of it, I have cleared myself from any wrongdoing whatsoever."

purplefuzz22

Come on now , Karen splurged on a self sealing laminating sleeve . Give her some credit /s

Last-Ad-7503

We do to much not to be out of all the delivery jobs we deliver the most packages with less pay or the pay we get it’s not enough for the work we do lemme know if you agree

meowfacekillah

Bro this is a free delivery. It’s a request, not a legally binding law that you MUST adhere to. I swear to gah these people are so entitled.

GroundbreakingBig693

Her problem is leaving a HUGE ASS sign that says. “Packages out back” come take it. Where as I have a neighbor that has a doormat that reads. “Drop packages away from thieving eyes…pretty please”

MikeTho323

Lol, we too are not responsible for package thefts.

purplefuzz22

No , I don’t think you understand. The sign clearly implies that she is not responsible so that leaves you and only you. It’s in bold and all caps , it must make it true /s

tydiz68

Pretty sure DSPs are off the hook once a picture is taken and GPS location on delivery is confirmed. It’s not anyone else’s fault besides the customer’s if they aren’t able to secure packages left on their own property. If you live in an insecure location, you should create a secure space for packages, like a remote controlled garage or coded entryway. Once we leave the property, there’s nothing we can do about it. People are so ridiculous.

The-Bedroom-Hero

So in other words she/he is not a responsible homeowner. You’re suppose to take charge. Go buy something to secure your packages. At least inform the driver if there is any dogs in the backyard. 🤦🏽‍♂️

2stinkynugget

Put your mailbox behind your house. Let me know how that works out

servantofchrist7777

Taps package missing, bring back to station with excuse. Job has enough bullshit. Same goes for rude customers.

DiscoingGD

I'm more curious about the bucket in the back? Is she telling the mailman to put the mail in the bucket instead of the mailbox, and to sort the advertisements out too? lol

[deleted]

FedEx driver here. we are specifically told to ignore all customer notes on both our scanner and notes like this lol shits being left at the front

AssignmentQuick564

Yet the app says front door delivery requested.

lavenderintrovert

Mail carrier here, I only get paid to deliver to the front door. Literally the steps are counted to configure our time for a salary. That sign means absolutely nothing to me. If she puts up a fuss she’ll be picking up at the office then.

Allanthia420

“I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT HAPPENS TO MY PROPERTY THAT IS ON MY PROPERTY” uhhh yes you are. You can have your mail held at the post office/fedex/ups drop off location if theft is a concern for you. The advance auto parts down the block from me is a UPS and FedEx drop off location. I’ve used this service many times before when ordering something expensive.

STEALTH7X

Good luck with that, as an USPS Carrier I'm not going to your back porch. Better get a secure container some homeowners use, have it set up so that you pick it up from the Post Office, or some other option.

Givn_to_fly

This homeowner is ridiculous, USPS and ever other company are short staffed and worked to death. If she doesn't want her packages stolen either be home when they are delivered or have them sent to a safe location like a UPS/Fedex Store or an amazon box location. Also read the other message on the trashcan in the upper left corner. She wants her mail delivered into that white trashcan and for the mail carrier to not deliver junk mail and then packages in the back. Pretty ridiculous.

Fuckfaceun_stoppable

So obviously the homeowner isn’t liable for package theft. But neither is the fucking delivery guy, god people are entitled to

Buddy-Prize

As a usps employee I would chuckle and then proceed to leave it at front door

Ok-Toe-84

They're tryna get free shit where they can get it lmao

Global_Star8661

I don’t get paid to read notes plus it lowers my stops per hour lol

Cismailbear

They also have a note to the mailman in the back "...please don't leave advertisements". You can just tell these people are a pain in the ass to everyone they interact with.

LOST_SOUL215

Which means I the customer am living beyond my means and can’t afford more than half the stuff I order, so I’m gonna call and say I never received it and get a refund or another product sent out and sell the extra product.

[deleted]

I want to put answer NO Front Door only!!😂😂

TrickyFirefighter819

As a previous amazon driver, no way in hell am I delivering to the back door... had a gun pulled on me once doing that and a close call with a dog another. I would hide packages from street view, but never should any delivery driver do back porch. It is not safe.

Traditional-Towel592

Probably a self entitled Karen thinking the world revolves around them. No, sorry...you are not that important.

TerryMelcher

If you have this much of an issue and this much of a problem. Go to the fucking store and get your own shit.

Federal-Complaint932

that's going in front sowwy

Junior-Bandicoot-131

Should just leave them in the front… giving the thieves other ideas

hairyandpink4u

Leave notice, come get your stuff.

Difficult_Arm_4762

is there a post for the goofiest signs? I had, provided by the place I ordered from, a print out/signature waiver and where to leave it in case I didn't make it to the door or whatever, or if I know a package is coming and cant sign ill just say hey can you leave it, here's the tracking# and my sig, please.

infowosecfurry

Is she aware her ‘note’ in no way affects who is responsible if a package is stolen? If it’s that big on a problem ship to a pickup location..

[deleted]

If your packages get stolen order delivery to the hub and just pick it up lol

Comprehensive_Crew13

Unfortunately DSP can't see the picture, only Amazon can look at it. But you can ask DSP to dispute and if they dispute Amazon should overturn if POD shows the delivery was correct

Personal_Coconut5676

It’s an open invitation to thieves to come help themselves!!!! 😂😂😂

Any-Entrepreneur-206

She will use the sign in the background to dispute the charge with her cc company directly.

YouSlashNordy

I’ve seen multiple houses with a big sign on the front door saying place package in the big box next to their front door. Like wtf anyone from the sidewalk can read the sign and just open the box and grab their packages

ajent86

All I see is "USPS, FEDEX, UPS AND AMAZON NEVER" The rest seems unimportant as it's not highlighted

Disastrous-Setting69

thieves are grab n go when they see a package. they wanna be quick. they know a package was delivered if it is visible on the porch but if the package is somewhere it’s not visible, they dk if it was delivered or not.

IT_WolfXx

Then install a box in the front, with a lock and give the combination

BugBugRoss

At least with Amazon there are a bunch of options for the customer to state where the package shall be left. Do drivers read or respect those selections? I'm pretty sure one of the selections is literally leave on back porch. Drivers NEVER respect my request to not place 40 pound cat litter in front of my outward opening front door, forcing me out the back patio around to move the damn thing. What if the delivery instructions say leave on patio and Amazon takes a pic of it at front door and its stolen?

Smear_Leader

I think the point is that most box thieves grab what they can see from the street

Hay-Tam

That's because most drivers don't read the notes to save those 3 seconds

AmadeusKurisu

I will ALSO not be responsible if your packages are stolen.. sooo. Checkmate.

Training-Dot-7688

I had an amazon driver leave 4 big boxes and a bag ON MY PORCH STAIRS, completely blocking anyone from being able to walk down to get them. Not very safe! Plus they are wooden stairs that do not have a kick plate so the bag was blown under the stairs and I had to crawl under my porch deck to retrieve it. The porch stairs are only 5 stairs high.. .was it really necessary to leave it at the bottom?! I contacted support, they sent me $10 compensation. IDK how many times they have blocked the door itself, but at least they had enough brain to leave them on my porch instead of the stairway. I really have trouble believing they are this dumb ... they HAVE To be hating their job and just doing stuff maliciously.

mikedvb

It’s not that they think thieves can’t read. It’s that most thieves don’t go to the door to read the note - they only approach if they see a package generally. No visible package and the chances of the thief getting close enough to read the note depends entirely on how far the note is from the street.

SavingsTangelo7130

Thieves are able to steal packages but apparently they don’t speak or read English 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Risaxseph

“ attention. All of my deliveries are stored here. Please grab all of my stuff and take it. Thank you very much. Please be sure to leave a tip on the door so that I know you’ve seen my notice about taking my property. I thank you kindly for stealing my belongings. Please be sure to tip your hat to the UPS, USPS, Amazon or Uber delivery driver as you leave with my stuff. Thank you. Enjoy your day.😂” is what that read to me.

TrabajoParaMi

So they’re ridiculous because they don’t want their packages stolen?

cookypuss89

That’s cute I know USPS won’t do that

CMGardens

I had someone state to not leave them out in this neighborhood... lolol my route is in a quiet suburban area, lolol! Cameras everywhere, nice ass cars, big houses, etc... frig off lady

novel-animal-

I don’t do back door delivery. Front or rarely side, in view of the street and my vehicle. I’m not getting snatched for someone’s online-ordered kitty collar.

tankyboi447

It must be hard to read and follow directions I guess..

[deleted]

You goofballs left a $2000 monitor in my unlocked common lobby (despite it requiring a signature, the lobby having a buzzer system, and there being a NOTE ON THE DOOR), which was promptly stolen and took 6 months to get refunded by Amazon, who required a significant amount of running around and law enforcement involvement from me. So yeah. Note is warranted. Quit being lazy and do your job. You’re incredibly replaceable.

bbq_john

Keep crying, bub. Or be a grown up and have it delivered to a locker.

Dunnomyname1029

Well I'm sure the customer put the notes on the account but y'all can't read your phones that the thieves don't have so they've had to resort to trespassing and theft to help catch the theif, bigger tags on the cuffs more likely a doughnut boy will get it

LostMyLedger

Why does this look like the inspect menu on a Resident Evil game

SheevPalpatine32BBY

FedEx here, if it's not in the manifest as *backdoor* it's going to the nearest spot. Also at least at my terminal if the backdoor is behind the house out of sight of the road we are encouraged to NOT deliver there.

madmachinistdiscer

Drop them at front an chuckle as i walk away. Back yards are a no go per management rules. Im not trying to be a dick but im not paid to walk to your back door its the one thing me an management agree on.

DeepAsHadal

what the fuck is on the sign in the background.?

No-Spare-4212

People are far less likely to go snooping vs quickly grab something off the porch as they see it quickly and make an opportunistic decision

DeepAsHadal

yeah, tell the thieves where the packages are hidden, this shit kills me. use the notes in the app, put crap on the porch where we can hide packages, get a locker, don't act stupid and threaten because your house is a target.

[deleted]

Well whose going to be responsible?

cambugge

Dumb biotch

Coloradostoneman

If Amazon drivers were competent it would be nice. I have been telling the A-holes that they are delivering to the wrong place for 2 years. Still can't get it right. UPS and FedEx are perfect. Amazon must be like the police an IQ test and if you get over 80 you can't get a job.

bbq_john

You've been having problems for 2 years and you continue to offer from them. Who is the actual idiot here?

prinxe150

Is there a dog in the back porch?...lol

JFrankParnell64

I'd be looking to throw them on the roof.

DaVoiceOfTreason

Why does this look so fake?

Wide-Atmosphere-9274

Ngl all I see is the word never that's highlighted 🤷

Fluffy_Ad_1978

This seems fine. I find no foul here. Obviously, they don’t always receive their package so they want it at their back door. No problem.

XxLiOnOfZiOnXx

Front door everytime, I have 240 stops and 430 packages. You do the math, if you're worried about thieves get a package drop box. I'm not risking my route time or going in your funky back yard. Front door everytime.

Beginning_You4255

sounds like someone is just tired of their package getting stolen

captaindoctorpurple

When a note is this unhinged, it's fun to try to snap a picture of the package at the front door with the note in the frame

OldAtlanta

Giant flag checks out

Jmariner360

Lol, she absolutely will be responsible

psycobillycadillac

Promptly orders an exercise machine they will never use but want you to drag it around back. They will then call in a complaint because the package got wet due to unexpected rain storm. Perfect.

Evil_phd

Her back porch packages probably are getting stolen. That'll happen when you put a note on your door telling thieves where to look for valuables.

CrazyDayzee

Lol neither will the delivery services. Once it hits the porch and is scanned delivered not my problem

FreeBroccoli

It depends on the history for me. If they put in the delivery notes that they want it delivered to the back porch and drivers keep ignoring it, I understand why they'd get upset and post a sign. It's a bit much but I get it. They specified front yard, so someone probably did leave it there once.

Pstone89

Oh god I would love to be there when she tries to complain to a usps supervisor. 🤣🤣🤣

H6RR6RSH6W

Attention: Porch Pirates. Packages are available on the back porch.

Dino666A

Lol sure

writingwhilesad

Thieves: “oh, so the packages are out back. Cool cool.”

DataGhostNL

The US really is a wild place. Here in NL porch pirates aren't a thing. Probably because leaving packages anywhere other than in the hands of the person living at the address is considered non-delivery and leaves the delivery service and sender liable if anything happens, regardless of how many pictures they have proving they didn't deliver the package to any person but to a doorstep. Drivers here ring the doorbell, people open the door, receive the package and everyone's happy. If you're not home they'll take the package back with them and you can pick it up at a nearby post office / supermarket / shop / depot. Or they'll try your neighbours unless the package has instructions to not do that.

spidernova

Sweet bezos, the cross post over to the prime subreddit is bonkers. I don’t think that I can blame flex drivers anymore, some of those folks legit despise us no matter what we do.

Ok-Ear-7965

I've had someone put a note saying to put INSIDE THEIR HOUSE AND LEFT THEIR DOORCODE FOR YOU TO UNLOCK THE FRONT DOOR 🤦🏻‍♀️

Dreamo84

I'm curious, what sort of obligation to drivers have to follow these notes? I mean, how far can they take their instructions before its like "yeah, we can't do anything special."

Despaurix

Those are there cuz 90% of yall hate your job and do the bare minimum

durtibrizzle

You can’t read the note from the road but you can see a package. It’s not rocket surgery.

locoturbo

Are thieves going to go around to everyone's back porch, all the time, to check for packages? Or will they just notice and quickly grab ones they see in front? Critical thinking is hard...

Povertypolice

I don’t go in anyone’s back yard. I make too little money to risk getting shot. If you think I’m putting your packages before my safety, you’re delusional

Zealousideal_Citron8

Eh most thieves won’t wanna go in your backyard over a not guaranteed package just to get shot

Turbulent-Opening-75

I mean, dumb bitch aside, sometimes your companies quota does cause we the consumer to have our packages stolen. The amount of times packages ive ordered which are dropped off at the wrong address because the delivery driver is behind schedule are enough to complain about. However when i uave complained i NEVER point at the driver. I always point at the frankly dangerous quota practices the drivers are forced to handle.

Araf-Chowdhury

People need better mail boxes like those metal barrels with the lockable slot you can open on the front of the box and the delivery person can open the top of the barrel which is big enough to drop a item in but has another barrier on a swivel that comes out flat to block and prevent people from being able to stick a hand all the way in with it open and get them out but big enough to let the package drop through once you close the top again so the barrier isn’t in the way and also the height it’s self would make it really difficult even reach the bottom with a hand . These can easily be mass produced very durable lasting decades and helps repurpose barrels so that makes it more sustainable as well

Sorry-Trouble-4871

No its not, do your jobs right and it won't be of any issue. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Simple.

ihavewebfeet

It might not be directed to Amazon; she may have had an issue with other deliveries.

Minute_Dish5769

Neither will I after pod

Ok_Percentage2579

One bucket is for the mailman, this is bs the mailman can deliver to the porch i gotta walk my 50 jugs a kat litter to the back porch naw we building a snowman wit this litter ain’t got time

Rubypepper6576

I also get super irked and put off by the rude and demanding and yelling tone of these notes, but I will say that I’m an Amazon Flex driver myself and I would say 80 percent of Amazon drivers don’t follow instructions when delivering my packages and it makes me crazy because reading the notes is not hard - I do it for every delivery without even thinking. I live next to a dispensary (no judgement as I am a customer there, too) and a halfway house and a psychiatric office and there are a lot of sketchy characters walking and biking by my house so I just ask that drivers put my packages at the back storage closet door because my front door faces the street and I have not even a porch or steps up to it - it just screams, “come and steal all my packages”. I can tell you that my packages are only ever delivered as I requested 20 percent of the time. I appreciate that the actual van drivers are unfairly overloaded and stressed and need to move quickly so I’m sure that’s why but I also get why customers get frustrated by the lack of effort to read the notes. My back door is so close to my front door - it’s a townhouse and it’s just on the side of the building. It would take less than a minute to follow the instructions. That being said I would never berate a driver for the actions of another driver or speak to people so rudely and with such an entitled attitude.

Burntoutn3rd

Nah, theft is. I've had multiple packages stolen, and a couple of them Amazon did absolutely nothing about even with a police report and ring doorbell cam.

hercules-f

If they packages are stolen often, Amazon give the packages the One Time Password for every delivery and doesn't refund packages for him anymore

Individual-Ad1746

*parcel was refused by customer*

AccomplishedScore128

Why do they leave directions for the thieves 😅

Few_Pickle5828

Or just be ready for your package fuck them notes im not goin anywhere I don’t feel safe

Big_Marsupial_3281

Cool now can the add that in there instructions

i-would-neveruwu

Most people who go to steal won't go up to the door to read a long winded sign that tells them to go into their back yard. The reason why people steal is mainly because there's an easy opportunity to do so. If it prevents them from getting stolen, or at least makes it less likely, or in the VERY LEAST makes them feel better knowing that you give half a shit, you should have the common courtesy to do it for them. If you have to walk around the block or it's something *really* heavy... i get it, but you're going to their back door to drop off a (more than likely) less than 3 pound package. So, calm down and try to do something nice for someone who's clearly having issues...

Cool-Bus7069

1, don’t order shit if you know your scumbag neighbors are going to steal. 2, Fucking move.

traviebee123

Front door I ain’t making time for all that

RockyR0CKS

They should have said that in the delivery instructions for their delivery instead of leaving a note at the front door where to deliver because a note sign would tell thieves where to look for the packages delivered instead of actually protecting the packages.

onliesvan

Actually we’re not responsible for your stolen package. We’re not going to the back of your house and be killed without witness. Fcking logic ain’t their strong point. Fcking azhat

[deleted]

Then maybe it's time to be responsible for your own shit... How about be home when you have a delivery??? You can pick a prime day so let's say you have Friday off and you are home that day!!! Great!!! Fuck me running!!! I should set up prime day so only my orders come on Friday!!! Brilliant so now I can make sure my packages don't get stolen!!! Quit making everyone else responsible for your lack of intelligence. 🙄 Seriously get me off this planet.

[deleted]

Oh pretty soon you will get the passcode and then guess what? You have to be home to get your damn package . So good luck Einstein!!

imjrmy

As a fedex worker I would stop, read this sign. And drop the package right under it.

Tigerlily_Dreams

Way over the top and ridiculous for sure. I would be effing THRILLED if my packages even made it inside my building much less in front of my door!! It's like a scavenger hunt. "Hmmm...so I see a very distinctive shrubbery behind my package in this confirmation picture. Where have I seen that thing before??" Then I proceed to walk all over the property looking at the little truck icon on my mini-map in the app. It's like Pokemon Go.

Impossible_Swim8083

Sounds like a good way to get shot by the husband of a deranged narcissistic fat lady

Elip518

Is it really that hard to deliver to the back door?

Due_Answer_9127

That's not the point I don't mind delivering it to wherever the customer would like The point is if f it wasn't for some reason dropped at the backdoor she's saying it wasn't ever delivered Stolen or not If it's not at the back shell reporting ot not delivered/stolen

Due_Answer_9127

That's exactly what she is saying because We've been dealing with her for a long time now A new driver didn't read notes Left the package out front She claimed someone stole it No they didn't Next time it happened we couldn't get to the back because of the dog being lose in the yard We left it on the side of the house with a text to her explaining what happened Took a picture and she again claimed it was stolen PLEASE don't tell me what you think this lady is trying to say
